Hello, I'm trying to get this effect by using opacity screen: but I got this instead: How to use opacity screen correctly or how should I change my settings to make my 'comet' more transparent, like in the first picture?

Hey! I've just started using AI and need to make a vectorized logo. I read that there is a vectorize tool on AI on the iPad, but I do not have this tool. Now i wanted to ask if this tool is only available for iPad Pros, since I'm usin an iPad 8. Any ideas how I can get my drawn logo to be vectorized or does anyone have some good explanation videos for me?Thank you in advance!

Hello Illustrator Community,   I recently installed SageThumbs on Windows 10 to view Photoshop files somewhat like you would on a Mac. As far as the Photoshop files go, everything works great. But now my Illustrator files no longer are indicated with the orange Ai icon, as shown in on the left of the screenshot below when I'm in the Details or List view. Explorer just shows the white page icon. It's not huge deal (because they still work), but I miss having the icons for organization purposes.   I installed GhostScript, as suggested from this link: https://www.cherubicsoft.com/en/projects/sagethumbs/ , but that did not make a difference. My screenshot also shows my SageThumbs settings. I assume that something with SageThumbs is screwing up the missing Ai icons. Is there something that I can do, whether through SageThumbs settings or Windows settings, to keep the orange Ai icon?     Thanks in advance for any help!

I've never has this issue until the recent Illustrator update, but whenever i embed a PNG it makes the colours dull and washed out. I have found a fix, which is unticking "convert to sRGB" when exporting as a PNG from Photoshop. However, this doesn't solve the problem for other product images that i use on a regular basis, that were created long before the new update that are now effected. I'd have to re-export every single image to solve the problem and there's hundreds of images. I've attached an image, the one on the left is before embedding, the one on the right is after embedding.

Ok so i have just started in high end audio home theatre business. I want to know which app or apps are best and required to designand post on social media like facebook instagram twitter etc. to promote business. Suppose i want to post about a subwoofer , i want to show its mrp and my price and its specifications. Which app or apps required to do this task and also edit size of these as required on twitter facebook instagram etc. Also youtube banner for my channel and logo as well.And then how do i animate them to attract customers. See attached images here text is added i guess its an easy task to add text to any image. 

I'm in the middle of trying to finish my final when all of a sudden, I can't make new layers and it won't let me copy existing layers. I've tried closing up the program then opening it back up. I've tried making new Illustrator files to see if it was just the one I was working on that was having troubles, but it seems like across-the-board on all Illustrator it won't let me make new layers or copy existing ones. Please help!

Hi all, I'm trying to do something that I would think would be very simple, but I've walked a couple of videos now and have scoured the forum and have come up empty-handed. How can I change a sublayer to a layer and then have it in the correct order? Here's a screenshot: I'm trying to get layer 8. Marshland so that it will be under layer 7. Roads but not nested under 7. Roads. I would think that would be really easy to do, but I've spend half an hour so far, fruitlessly dragging it, using Ctrl and Shift and various combinations, but so far I can only do one of two things: a. Move 8. Marshland to the very top of the list, above 1. b. Make 8. Marshland a sublayer of 7. Roads. What am I missing? I hope I don't need to install a script or something like that for what seems like such a basic thing to do. Thanks in advance! -- Bill

Have I understood it correctly that you can not unstack tools in the Toolbar anymore (ver 29.5) (unless you build a new Toolbar from scratch). Who thought that was a good idea?

using illustrator 25.4.1, MAC big sur 11.6arrange -bring to front send to back- are not working for both the dropdown & shortcut command.clarify, i am able to select the option to bring to front or send to back, however the command is not functioning on the artboard w shapes and fonts.looking for any tips on how to resolve this issue. 

Guten Tag,   Ich versuche nun seit 2 Tagen mein Monats-abo zu kündigen, scheitere aber immer wieder an den angeblich unaktualisierten Zahlungsinformationen. Ich habe mehrfach alles aktualisiert und auch mehr als 24 Std abgewartet. Abgesehen davon, wurde auch jede Zahlung von meiner Bank bestätigt. Es existiert somit kein ausgebliebener Zahlungseingang. Hi all,I regularly use Adobe Illustrator to create custom vector assets for presentations (mainly for google slides). I export the assets into WMF format, open them through google drawings and then copy from there and past them into slides. I do this with many different custom assets that I design for presentations. Right now, I’m working on a custom icon library. They are simple black-and-white icons. After exporting them from Illustrator as WMF, I’m seeing:Distorted shapes (particularly rounded edges and strokes)Jagged outlines and misaligned elementsLoss of that clean, crisp look I designed in IllustratorThis is very frustrating, I've tried so many different things, and it just keeps happening. I've tried:Flattening transparency (100% vector, text and strokes converted to outlines)Tried EMF files, this is an incompatible file typeAdding the SVG directly into Google Slides (doesn't support the file type)Has anyone ran into this? Hello, For several weeks now, I’ve been experiencing an issue downloading Adobe Illustrator on my Mac. Despite multiple attempts and following the instructions on your website, the download remains unsuccessful. I would like to specify that I’m trying to download version 29.1 (the latest), but it does not work. I’ve also tried downloading older versions of Illustrator without success. However, I have been able to download and install other Adobe applications without any problems. The first thing I tried was downloading the program to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud. I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it, but this did not resolve the issue. To provide more details, I am running macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, my Mac is up to date, and the model is an Apple M1 Pro with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue or help me successfully install Adobe Illustrator? Thank you in advance for your support.

It's been posted earlier, but I cannot get the CutStudio plugin to work with AI 2025 (it won't connet/recognize the Roland GS-24). I updated to the latest version of AI (v29) and CutStudio (v3.4.5), but it still doesn't work. I read somewhere the newer version should have fixed this issue, but it didn't. Interestingly enough, when I try it with my old iMac and AI 2023 (v27.7) with CutStudio 3.1.0.0, it works fine. So it's NOT the GS-24. Any ideas?

I have a document with a black background and white text, but when I print it it only gives black. how do I change this?

When I export a graphic from illustrator the color is changing.   I switch my color picker to web safe RGB and set the color to #311a92.   But when it exports and I use it in a webpage it is slightly lighter.  I sample the color using a browser color picker and it #362f8c.   I am using the #311a92 all through my CSS so I need to be able to to get illustrator to export that acutal color.   Here is what I have tried... - Using just a plain square.- legacy and regular export- setting "don't color manage my document" under assign profile- different jpg and png typesAll with the exact same result.  What am I doing wrong? 

I'm using Illustrator CC and I cannot select and move guides with the selection tools. The guides are not locked. I can select the guides in the Layers Panel, but I can only move with the arrow keys. I can also "Release" the guides once they are selected in the Layers Panel, but I still cannot move them with the mouse - only the arrow key. Summary of Problem:Guides are not locked.Some guides can only be moved when they are selected in the Layer Panels and when using the arrow keysNon-selectable Guides can be "Released" but only altered in color and line weight and still only moved with the arrow keys. Desired Outcome:I want to be able to move all guides using the mouse for greater accuracy vs the arrow keys.Thank you for your help.

Hi all, I've been having massive issues with my 2020 Illustrator this week where it's using up a huge amount of my RAM memory when I open any file. After trying all sort of 'solutions' found online, nothing seems to solve it. Mac is up to date in terms of software updates, Illustrator is on latest version and file I'm opening is less than 1.5GB in size. Yet, it continues to use approximately 6GB of RAM meaning it keeps on crashing and it can't carry out operations due to a lack of space. I've wasted HOURS trying to find solutions and I'd be very grateful to anyone who could help me. I've got a MacBook Pro Retina from late 2013, in case that makes a difference to the help I require. Thank you in advance.

Hi, maybe someone knows is it possible to do action reacording while creating number outlines, becouse I always get error

I have no idea what's going on here. This has never been a problem before. If I try to move a point with the grid on it's fine. If that point has curve lines assoicated with it, it will not move if the grid snap is on. Attached video, you can see it not work, then I turn grid snap off, it works, and then grid snap back on it no longer works.
