My illustrator crashed and reverted my file back to a VERY early version. I found the .aid files for the file, but it won't open the file. It says "This is an unsupported file type." I tried to change the .aid file to an .ai file, and that also didn't work. I can see the content in a .txt file, but that doesn't do me much good when Illustrator refuses to open it. Can anyone help?! This is hours worth of work! 

A customer has supplied an Illustrator file with lots of artboards. Attempting to scroll in the Artboard Panel to see the enire list of Artboards causes Illustrator to crash every single time.I don't expect anyone to suggest a solution. I just wanted to point out a persistent functional failure.

When I'm drawing with brush or pencil tool, I can't see stroke line until I release the mouse. I's so difficult drawing if I can't see that I'm drawing. What can I do for solver this? Thank you so much!

Hello everyone,I'm experiencing a serious issue with Illustrator version 29.4 on my MacBook Pro (macOS Sequoia 15.3.2).I’ve been working for several hours on a complex file that contains around twenty layers, with a lot of text content on each. I saved the file regularly (every few minutes), but when I reopened it, I noticed that a lot of data from one of the key layers was missing—it was incomplete.Strangely, I can still see the full content in the file preview thumbnail on the Illustrator home screen, but when the document opens, the information is gone.Has anyone encountered this before?Do you know how to recover lost content from a saved Illustrator file?For context:I’m saving the file locally on my computer (not using cloud storage).My MacBook is brand new, very powerful, and Apple confirmed that it's not a RAM or performance issue.This is a critical project, and for now, I’ve continued working on a separate file. I have not been able to figure this out - when a file is open in illustrator the colors are way brighter and more saturated than using any other program to open the same file.  My color settings in photoshop and illustrator are exactly the same but still showing different colors.   The image below shows the actual image colors on the left, and how it displays in illustrator on the right When I open a file, a pop up says "your current color settings honor CMYK profiles in linked content but profiles were set to be ignored when this document was created" Anything I create in illustrator saves in the correct colors, but I am having to drag back and forth from illustrator to get an idea of what the colors actually look like.  I did recently connect to a monitor that I felt like had brighter colors and not sure if that could have affected the display on my macbook in any way, just strange that it only seems to be a problem in one program.  Would love

All of my users are experiencing issues with the latest AI 2025 update, it installs fine and even allows you to work on it for around 5 minutes, it will then freeze and the application needs to be shutdown.We have updated our Drivers and tried changing GPU settings on the application itself, none of these have solved the issue.

Does jsx have alternative for this app.executeMenuCommand("join")?Are there method with which is possible to apply join on two or more objects?Or are there any other alternative for this?

I have a few different images inside of the file (.ai), now I want to make each of these images 3000 x 3000 pixels without losing the quality of the image. I have been using Adobe Photoshop to upscale the image, but obviously, the quality is impacted. Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I'm not very familiar with Illustrator, so I apologize if this is very basic.... I'm trying to recolor this periodic table of elements - filling the boxes with different colors. However, because the boxes are just outlines, and layered with text and numbers, I am having difficulty simply filling the boxes with colors without searching for the individual box layer and recoloring. Is there a way to easily do this?  I'd appreciate your help!!Thank you. 

I want Alexander Ladygin Fillinger files to appear in the \\Scripts\Other Script menu and (not File\Scripts menu.) If I copy them under which directory and not in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2025\Presets\en_US\Scripts directory, I can upload them to the \\Other Script submenu.

Holaa!!!Tengo un gran problema, me ha sido imposbile cambiarle el area a las cajas de texto en illustrator. ya no se que hacerNo me salen los pequeños cuadrados alrededor de la caja, que son los que permiten que uno pueda cambiar las dimesiones del cuadro del texto. Hi there, I need the ability to draw curly brackets but also able to change the length of it and move the tip freely. Initially, I thought about making a pattern brush or something, but I came across this post (Solved: Multi line bracket - Adobe Community - 11023642), which provides an interesting solution. Basically, the symbols font already have each component of the curly braces, so to adjust the position of the tip by using different number of straight lines.  If i want to change the length of the curly bracket, I can simply add a new bar potion of the text.So far, it's working great. However, in my scenario, I need to be able to control the length of the bracket so my initial thought was to change the size of one of the bars. Let's say, I want the side to be just slightly longer than the left side, so I tried to change the font size of the new bar I just created.As you can see, the right side now is longer than the left side but shorter the last one, so it

Hello, what is the quickest way to REMOVE the blue strokes/outlines leaving ONLY the green, exactly as shown in the attached file, in Illustrator?My file is vector. Shapes are overlapping.So far, I have tried converting the blue strokes to outlines then making a compound shape, but when I do this the outlines come to the front covering some of the green.Is there a simple way to accomplish this?

Hi there, I'm exporting EPS files from Illustrator using the Export for Screens option. I have used a prefix to include in the file name but on export, the name of the artboard is duplicated. For example, the prefix is "group-icon-white-" and the artboard name is "alarm". So the file name should be "group-icon-white-alarm.eps". Instead, it is generating as "group-icon-white-alarm-alarm.eps". Has anybody else experienced this issue? It doesn't happen with PNG or SVG file types, only EPS.

Every time I select the Type Tool then select a location to start the text, the fill color changes to black. I would like to know how to set the fill color for type so it doesn't change when I use the tool. This was not a problem in CS6. Dwight

So when I use my brush tool, after I finish drawing a thin stroke, it immediately becomes thick.  Also even though I have the fill option off, it creates a white fill.  How can I fix this?

I'm having issues with my Dell Precision 5770 Workstation Laptop: despite having a dedicated graphic card as well as the processor integrated graphics, Illustrator says "Compatible GPU not available" on Performance tab in Preferences (see screencap)   Below my system configuration:Windows 11 Education (OS Build 22621.1702)Intel Core i7-12800 (12th Gen.) 2.4 GHz Intel Iris Xe Integrated Graphic (Version: 31.0.101.4032), 1 GBNVIDIA RTX A3000 (Version 31.0.15.2889), 12 GBRAM: 32GB   By the way, I already tried updating the video driver for the dedicated and integrated graphics hardware.  Now Adobe is the leader on the design software market, as well as Ilustrator being the most used vector software in the world: I'm certain that the community or the development team have a fix for this issue or at least is working on it. Hi all!i'm new to illustrator and i really would like to know how can you guys and gals export a logo in jpg with specific dimensions.I have this file that i set 100mm wide and 30mm high but when i export it as jpg it changes its dimensions (it is too big or too small in base of what ppi i choose) and I need the actual dimension with the maximum definition because i need to print it.I used Corel Draw X8 before and after setting the dimension it export perfectly and this doesn't happen with illustrator (i need to use illustrator for some tool that it has).

Does anyone suffer the same problem?After having selected different objects in the layers palette, I choose "collect in new layer", but Illustrator will only group all objects from the most top layer in a new layer. That's not how it should work. Any idea?
