why don't I see my apple? 

Hello, I am working on a project that contains variable data. I have a CSV setup with 5 text variables and an image link. When I run the import into illustrator everything works as it should on the art board, however the i can't get the data set name listed in the variables window to reflect the name of the field in the CSV "dataset". I have tried this with a quick XML, and it works, however all the data going to our graphics department real time is in CSV. Does anyone know if I have to call out the dataset name in the CSV differently from CSV, or bind it somehow?See images to show XML vs CSV import.Thanks in advance,Jason

Das letzte Segment des Diagramms wird stets zu groß dargestellt – besonders auffällig ist dies, wenn der erste und letzte Wert identisch sind.Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht oder eine Lösung dafür?

Illustrator 25 is not allowing me to move a graphic symbol on a 3D object . I have to go back to Illustrator 24 to be able to move a graphic on the surface of a 3D object created in Illustrator.

Hi,So I've noticed that my bounding box on Illustrator has been acting a little odd on my work computer.Example; I select a group that has a bunch of objects in it but it also goes around the group's hidden objects and I can't remember if this is normal. I don't think it's supposed to do that. Right? Can someone confirm this for me? or help me troubleshoot it? I feel like this is wrong because when the whole group is selected while the object in question is invisible it does this: I do not have a stray object or path I promise... Anyway, when I make the object visible in this case it is a group of distress patterns (for screen printing shown below)and then, if I select the group in this state and make the destress group invisible while selected, the bounding box goes around the visible objects only as it should (from what I remember this is what it normally should do)  SEE?! Is this a bug? It's been really impairing my workflow...Help please lol.-AA 

Hi guys,I do simple graphic design (flyer at the moment) on illustrator and it keeps lagging and going extremenly slow. At first, I thought it was a problem from my mac but now I also have a PC and it is doing the same problem. It's lagging at EVERY click. I did every step on the ''Improve Illustrator performance'' page and I checked for memory issues. I am so not a itech pro so please help me!

 Preciso imprimir em uma impressora comum e manter as cores utilizadas.Criei um arquivo no formato A4 (300 ppi, CMYK, etc.) com os mesmos perfis de cor tanto em RGB quanto em CMYK no Photoshop e no Illustrator.Recortei uma foto e removi o fundo, deixando apenas a transparência, e depois trouxe o arquivo no formato PSD para o Illustrator. Devo usar PNG 24 bits?Tudo com o mesmo perfil de cor, tamanho e resolução DPI. Posso simplesmente converter tudo em curvas, rasterizar a imagem que enviei para o Illustrator junto com o fundo e salvar em PDF/X-1a ou PDF/X-4? A gráfica saberá imprimir corretamente.O primeiro problema é que preciso criar uma versão simples, sem sangria, mas que ocupe um A4 em uma impressora comum, mantendo a transparência. O que fiz? Rasterizei a imagem no Illustrator com o fundo, mas, por algum motivo, ele converte o fundo cinza de #1C1C1C para #1D1D1D, e a impressão sai sem a sobreposição, mas com essa variação de cor de fundo.Existe alguma forma de fechar o arqui

A couple weeks ago, I created a two-column page with text in both columns, successfully exported the file to PDF, and then saved and closed the file.Today I opened the .ai file to edit, and the text in the left column is invisible.When I select the layers I see underlining suggesting lines of text are there, but I don't see the text.The layers have visibility turned on, and when I looked at Overprint, it is deselected. I also tried opening the .pdf that I had exported from Illustrator a couple weeks ago, and there too, the text in the left column is missing.But when I open the same pdf in Preview (i'm on a Mac), I can see all the text in the left column. How do I fix this?I'm running Illustrator 29.2.1 on Mac Sequoia 15.2. Thanks. Screenshots:1) Showing the green highlighting of invisible text. 2) Layer settings. The missing text is in the top green layer. Moving the layer's position doesn't change anything. 

One of the many things that Illustrator now does poorly which has increased production time substantially. I'm posting out of a frustration that is now constant, at least during working hours when all I can really do is just bear it.

Previously I have been able to create an EPS in InDesign (panels of text) and place into my Illustrator file as a linked EPS. Now, when I do the same, the placed EPS is converting to illustraor text and lines. I don't want it to do this as I want to be able to update the link and change it  on  each page.Not sure why its started doing this, or am I missing something?

O pathfinder não funciona quando usado na ordem dos 15 passos a seguir: O resultado final era para ser o desenho transformado em várias partes divididas com a cor do retângulo, cada uma delas "clicáveis" para escolher a cor, mas ao invés disso só poucas partes são divididas sendo que a maior parte do desenho permanece inteira.Ontem tive esse mesmo problema, mas ao reiniciar o computador ele voltou a funcionar.Estou com o meu pagamento atrasado, será que isso implica no funcionamento normal do Illustrator? Edit: Vou entrar em contato com a Adobe para ver se eles conseguem solucionar o problema.

Windows 10, AI CC2017, wacom tablet (tried different ones)When I alt+click to place a custom pivot point with the rotate/ skew or mirror tool the anchor point sticks to the cursor and won't release. The program freezes for up to a few minutes before the menu pops up. It's not usable.This only happens when using the Wacom pen. Not with mouse or trackpad. When it freezes and I unplug the Wacom tablet, it works fine again.Looking at other threads and fora, this problem seems to be around for many years now, in many CS and CC versions. Why isn't this solved yet?I 'fixed' it by turning off GPU preview, but that's far from ideal obviously.

Below is a screenshot of the error that pops up when I attempt to launch Illustrator. This error has been occurring for 5 days. I have followed the error instructions to wait and try again later, but this has not fixed the problem. Hello,Width tool is giving me a hard time. I edit lines/path on the outer ring of letter "R" and for some reason width tool is applying changes to the inner ring also.  Any idea how to prevent this?Thanks for reply 🙂

Please don't reply with lame advice about using some "cleaner tool." The fact is that Illustrator is not stable at the moment, and now my life is hell.Illustrator 29.3.1MacOS 15.3.1Mac version 16-inch 2019 Restarting does not fix it. It happens randomly at file open, or file save, or just trying to do my job processing packaging files. I'm going to try to downgrade as a solution because there's nothing else to do but waste time trying to use a once great, now horrible piece of software.

Hi, so, i was working on a school project and then, when trying to save as an editable file, it was showing an error saying "This file cannot be found", i don't know how to solve this problem, but i really need to save this in case i need to rework it... Ps. I never saved it, so it was literally the first time saving it not like, saving on over another copy

Direct selection tool highlight does not align to the shape placement. The anchor point hovers slightly off the shape. Have restarted and updated to latest version and still have this issue. Issue occurs with every shape selected and even on new created shapes. Snap to grid is off and show edges is on. Sorry for blurry picture. I zoomed in as far as illustrator would let me. Due to this issue, I can't tell where the true placement of the shape is. Please help.
