I am trying to change the values in an existing diagram...to new numbers. After confirming, or hitting enter, this is, what the result looks like:I could live with the fact, that the design changes, but here the size changes. Has anyone encounterd this problem or maybe has a solution to it?Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone! I have an outlined logo that I’d like to apply Bevel and Extrude to, so that it looks like it’s beveled into a silver surface. Every time I apply a material, it gets treated differently in the inside of the O. The letter O gets none of the same depth as the other letters, and the scale of the material itself is much smaller than it should be (it should be matching the scale of the areas around the letters). You can see in the screenshot with a few different materials applied.I’ve tried troubleshooting with Claude, tried making it a compound path and toggling the fill settings between non-zero and even-odd, but nothing works. It’s driving me nuts. This has happened to me before in different files and seems to be a recurring issue. How do I fix it? I would be SO thankful for your help!  

turntable feature missing in illustrator v30.0, i tried to restart the app, check version, etc. but turntable it not showing up in my illustrator

Hi all, in one of the more recent updates to Illustrator, I have been unable to change a selection's fill color using, for example, the following:  var doc = app.activeDocument; var sel = app.selection[0]; var grayCol = new RGBColor(); grayCol.red = 211; grayCol.green = 211; grayCol.blue = 211; doc.selection = null; var defColor = doc.defaultFillColor; doc.defaultFillColor = grayCol;  There error I receive is a PARM error: "there is no document " I have seen this behavior with a single simple page item selection, an app.executeMenuCommand( "Find Fill Color menu item") or multiselection.   I have seen this across a few different scripts I've written. Think I saw it a couple months ago.  Anyone else seen this and figured out a workaround, other than trying to change the selection's .fillColor property? 

For a long time I have had an occasional problem where the character menu shows different font/weight/size information than what is actually used. For example, I have a text that uses Proxima Nova Medium, 5 pts. But the character menu says the selected text is Myriad Pro Regular 12pt. I did a little experimenting and it seems to be tied to the use of paragraph and/or character styles. It doesn’t seem to matter whether I clear overrides or not, as long as there is a paragraph style involved. Sometimes manually changing the affected text or clicking between different text boxes temporarily fixes the issue, but only for a short time.  Is this a known bug and if so, are there any solutions to this? Currently using AI 30.4 and on MacOS 15.7.4. 

Is there workaround? All options are grayed out.  Using Mac. 

Hi there,I have text with background set like the following:As you can see, the yellow background matches exactly the bounding box of the text. However, I want to add some extra spaces around the text, so I changed the shape options to include some extra spacing:The background got bigger, but the bounding box still remains the same. In theory, this is expected. However, this is a problem for what I am trying to do.As an example, I have the same text with a bar here.If I select both of them, then i can select one of them as key object and align the object correctly with left or right.Black bar as key, align left: Black bar as key, align right:So far so good. Now I want to expand the background a little bit, to be bigger than just text, but I want to make this responsive, so I change the extra width option in the shape options:The background is extended as expected. However, if i do align now, it would align to the original text as opposed to the background.In theory, this is the correct

Sorry, I’ve had enough of this situation. I’ve been working with all kinds of Adobe programs for years, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. Ever since I updated my Mac to macOS Tahoe 26, everything has been running terribly.I’ve spent months trying to deal with this problem and I still can’t find a solution. I’ve made sure my Mac is clean, fully updated, with enough memory and storage. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled EVERY single program three or four times, completely removing preferences, plugins, and settings. All of it has been pointless.Adobe Illustrator takes more than 10 minutes just to open and is extremely unstable. It crashes and freezes in EVERY SESSION, making it impossible to maintain any kind of consistent workflow. I’m a graphic designer, this is how I make a living, and I need the software I pay for every month to actually work.I expect a solution as soon as possible.

I have been using Adobe Illustrator for several years and never ran into issues regarding the fonts but recently, as of the past several months my fonts will deactivate on projects. I know it's best to expand texts to avoid this happening but on a lot of projects I need to go back to and quickly revise on a monthly basis. With that being said, my fonts on a whole project have been deactivated and are showing that I have no fonts downloaded on creative cloud. However, if I go to Adobe Font, all of my fonts are still "activated". It's a lot of back and forth to fix this issue, I am wondering if anyone has run into this issue and if so, what are your suggestions to correcting it? I work on a MacBook Pro.

Searching for ways I can  “see” if my printed pictures will be bright enough before I print them! 

When I copy and paste my CAD/shape from one illustrator document to another, the scale of the swatch pattern in the CAD/shape gets smaller. I have checked the document settings and everything seems to be the same.What could be causing this?

I am having issues exporting my Illustrator files into .png. No matter how high the resolution is set to, the exported image still turns out blurry. Adobe support was no help, they basically gave up because they had no idea what to do. They deleted all Adobe programs off of my computer and tried reinstalling and it did not help as well as some other troubleshooting steps. My exported pdfs look clear. I have also tried exporting other files to see if the one I am working on is messed up, yet they all still export blurry. My file is just a standard business card in the standard size.Thanks in advance

Good morning, The process that we use involves taking a design and creating a layout from it. One of the steps that we use is expanding the shapes that have a stroke around the border. Whenever I use this tool, it sometimes changes the width of the stroke (which needs to stay uniform throughout). It usually happens with more curvy shapes. I was wondering if there is a work-around for this or if it is a graphics/computer issue. Thanks!

Hello!I recently got a new computer and reinstalled the Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe software, and now I can´t open SVG-files that I previously created and could open. And the strange thing is that in Adobe Bridge, some SVG-files does not have a thumbnail but some do. And those who do have a thumbnail, those I can open. I get the error message, see pictures below. I have added two files, one that dont work and one that do. The file that dont work is 20066, anbd the file that do work is 20125.   Please help! 🙂 

Hey all. I booted up Illustrator this morning [a W10 PC] to suddenly find that none of the toolbars or workspaces show up, just the artboard.I can toggle each element separately [Layers etc] on from the menu above, but they do not remain with a fresh session, and trying to even switch to one of the default Workspaces [less my own] does nothing.I’ve tried resetting to the default Preferences, as well as making sure I’ve not selected the Tab key on my keyboard somehow by mistake - but to no avail [of course].Just wondered if there was anything else I could do before trying this Creative Cloud Cleaner tool for a clean installation? I’ve never had this particular problem in all my years with the program. And I’ve been on this latest public version since it went live, so weird how it just happened now.

Last week, I ran into what seems to be massive file bloat when I am saving files with linked raster images that’s making my files completely unusable. These are stable, well-tested files that weren’t a problem previously. It’s happened with other files recently, but this time I did some testing. This particular workflow that I’ve been using for years is for wallpaper, where panels are 25” wide at variable heights. I keep a library of prepped pattern tiles that get imported into the Illustrator file and tiled to fill the height and width of the full panel count. These are a mix of vector and raster at various sizes. Depending on material, there are two layouts - overlap (panels overlap the previous by 0.75”) and buttseam (panels meet at the edges). Initial setup for overlap has one artboard for each panel where they lay over each other to pull bleed and overlap from the neighboring panel. Buttseam has 2 panels per artboard which are right next to each other so that bleed comes from the

Ever since I updated to Tahoe, Illustrator hasn’t been working on my Mac Studio M2 Max (32 GB of RAM). It freezes on the start-up screen, stops responding, the spinning wheel appears, and I’m forced to force quit.Adobe support asked me for remote access this morning, but all they did was uninstall the latest version (30.4) and install 30.0. It worked for a while, then back to square one. I’ve tried disabling the GPU, I’ve tried installing version 29; it works for a few launches and then nothing, it just freezes again. I don’t know what else to try. 

맥에서 일러스트레이터를 주로 사용하고 가끔 포토샵을 사용하는데 사용자 폴더가 과도하게 용량이 큽니다다른 프로그램은 사용안해서 어도비프로그램이 확실합니다 라이브러리 캐시 항목이 232기가로 되어있는데 이건 어떻게 처리할수 있나요? 들어가서 개별폴더를 확인해보면 용량큰항목이 안보입니다그리고 인터넷 연결이 매번 안되는 상황이라 업데이트 이전에는 가끔만 인터넷 연결후 구독확인을 요청했는데 지금은 매번 인터넷을 연결안하면 사용이 불가한거 맞나요? 그리고 이전에는 그러지 않았는데 매번 실행할때마다 앱 데이터에 접근하는 것을 허용해줘야합니다

Correct me if I am wrong : When I first tried Retype feature I could edit text in an image (incorporated, not linked). But now I am only able to identify a more or less simliar font without editing text function. Am I missing something or did Adobe stepped back and dropped this very useful feature?

Having an issue in Illustrator. Creating a shape in Illustrator and trying to make it a hyperlink for final PDF export. I open the Attributes box but can't paste in url address needed. I can manually type in to URL box but can't paste long URL address straight in to it.

Hi all,We currently print (send files) directly from Adobe Illustrator to the Epilog laser cutter. When print is selected the dialogue box has a settings button which, when clicked, opens an Epilog settings box that allows the user to change settings such as power and speed. All was fine until the IT department upgraded to Windows 11. Now we cannot get the setting box to appear. If we try and send a print job from another program (eg Notepad) to the laser cutter we are able to bring up the Epilog settings box so I’m thinking this is rather an Adobe issue than a windows 11 issue. Any help appreciated. Thanks
