Okay, I'm really struggling with this and nobody I ask seems to know how to do this. I have created a little piece of vector art in illustrator but i now need to warp the perspective as if it were moving inwards. HOWEVER, I cant seem to turn my art into one single, flat warpable image. Everytime I try to warp in, I have to do each individual shape I've traced, which is frustrating as there are few parts to it, some of which are a bit detailed. This way also just does not get the perspective right. Is there any way I can change this, as if it were an image from the internet?

Why is this 3d effect text making it so blury.It's already rendered.

I created a complex illustration for a client in Illustrator and sent it to them as a pdf. For their purposes, there was no need to save it as anything larger than "smallest file size" which eliminated the "preserve editing capabilities in illustrator." This didn't seem like a big deal at the time, since I had the Illustrator file. Then my Mac crashed before I had backed the file up, and I lost everything. My client now wants modifiactions to the illustration. I was able to retrieve the pdf attachment from my "sent" emails, but when I try to open it from Illustrator, *surprise surprise* I can't edit it. I can see that everything is still vector art, but I can't select any of it – all selection tools just display as the same weird pen. Is there ANY WAY to make the vectors in this file editable in Illustrator again? Any help is much appreciated!

Yes I am a newb to Photoshop and adobe. Because adobe tricked me into paying for a subscription to ADOBE STOCK, I now have these "Credits" to use on various stock images. So I am trying to make some designs with whats available. My problem I am having is that I am trying to figure out how to edit the text, basically change it from the text that is in the editable AI file. But I can't find anything online on how to do it. And the replies to some of the postings on here that are somewhat similar to my questions are very vague to where it makes no sense what so ever. So if you happen to know what I'm talking about, please help me out. Pretend I'm some one who never used this program before (I only used this for 3 months) I'm still getting familar with it but I don't know what is where. So saying "oh just Go to the Appearance panel and you will see" Will not be in any way helpful. Cause I would need to know where that panel is and what to click to get to it.Here is a link to the Resource I

Hello, just wanted to share a script I put together based on some others found online. My workflow at the moment is to prepare LaTeX equations in illustrator, then export them as PSDs for use in Premiere with every sub-layer being a separate later and each layer acting as a photoshop group. However, I found the conversion from illustrator to photoshop files a bit confusing, especially how the layers tend to flatten when exporting. So the way I found to retain all layers is to group each sub-layer by itself. However when you group it it doesn't retain the name of the sub-layer, and on top of that I have each character in the equations as a separate sub-layer and Premiere will merge them as the same footage if they are named the same. So, my script groups all the sub-layers by themselves, checks if the name has shown up before, and renames the group to the name of the sublayer, incrementing it it already exists. This should make every sublayer grouped and uniquely named to prepare for PS

Hello, using variables panes I used to be able to load web hosted images into a data set, unfortunatetly this images aren´t loading anymore, I got a real trouble because i can`t load the images from the link contained in the csv (The links were cheked and they work rigth), I tried to do it but nothing happens, I did an experiment relocating some of the images in a local folder and it worked, anyone knows what elese I have to check, any tip will be usueful, because I'm stuck in the midle of the work and it's starting to be an emergency. 

I used to do this all the time at one of my old jobs, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how I used to do it and I cannot find the answer anywhere.  So I made a line and added text to the line. What I am trying to do is have a placeholder so when I paste replacement text it will stretch/condense to fill in or fit in the space between the brackets. For example, wether you paste "Ohio" or "Massachusetts" into the text line, it will automatically fill it or fit it within the brackets. How do I get it to do that?  

So for work, we have documents that have the same design repeated 3/4 times at various sizes so to make workflow easier, we tend to use symbols to repeat designs. On certain designs however, when the symbol is scaled down, the artwork within vanishes. The symbol bounding box is still there but no visible art. I can double click into the symbol and get to the full size art to edit but upon exiting its gone.  Not sure what the issue is. Making the symbols static does fix the issue but causes more headaches for other parts of the business. 

How can I distort text in illustrator?

Now this was an unpleasant surprise; when updating to the lastest (october 2024) release when prompted trash old version and migrate user profiles I suspected all would be well; its not.I am missing my custom workspace AND short-cut set.Thanks but NO thanks Adobe! Is there any way to retrieve these?

Hi i'm trying to create a custom color swatch palette of neon color strokes, for which i am using custom gradients. After tinkering with the settings, I end up with a radial gradient like this one :Note that this is a stroke on a single line, not a fill. I can then save the gradient as "BLUE NEON", but when I try applying it to another line, i don't get the right gradient and get this instead :It looks like it saves all gradient settings except "Apply gradient through the stroke", circled in red here :Anyone know how I can successfully fully save my gradient to use in other documents ?Thanks in advance !

This is a single path. Why does it show double? How to get rid of it? 

I have a feeling I'm the only one who has this problem. But I can't find the ellipse tool in the toolbar. Please see the attached picture.This is so weird.Anyone could help? Thank you so much! I'm using Illustrator 2019. Updated.

Hello all, I think I may have just installed latest update of Illustrator.  Now I see dashed lines around all the images on my artboard.  The dashed lines trace around the border of the images.  I did not see this before.  I noticed when I zoom in a lot they go away.  Any idea how I can removed the dashed border lines?  See attached photo.  Thanks!

Have you ever required to customise Illustrator more, well, this is a feature that is here a lont time ago and ir would be nice to have more options: In Preferences > Smart Guides, we should have more options to add custom angles, since six fields are falling short. Is this doable?

Today when I opened illustrator, it randomly whiched to CPU previewing. And, yes, I've tried everything.

Up to several months ago illustrator had no problem running , Split View or otherwise as well as any app but around early 2023, the app begins to crash consistently through multiple OS updates. Pencil and finger motions, even the simple function causes it to crash even sometimes just loading to the main overview screen causes the app to crash. I've waited patiently for the matter to resolve, there was a moment where the app seems to run fine but those moments hav been just that , moments, 15 minutes long before returning to consistent crashing. Now well close to the end of 2024 the matter has not resolved and even still , all the other adobe apps run fine , but it is still illustrator that is entirely inoperable. I've also serried many of the solutions found in other forums, turning off Bluetooth, turning off effects, deleting the app , restarting and then reinstalling, all have not worked, if anyone is able to help a solution it would be very appreciated as I use the app quite of

I’m aware that X marks typically appear on linked objects or images, but in my case, the object is neither. Hi everyone.Layers Panel Options which control how the layer panel function, is there way to lock the setting? I normally only need to see "Show layer only" and Thumbnails Top Level only, but it keep going back to show all layrers that I do not need to see.Even same files previously set to Layer - Top Level Only, it keeps going back to default. It would be great if you could teach me how to lock this.Thank you in advance for your help.

To change current documet units I use this:  function setUnits() { var units = 5; //(0 to 6) app.preferences.setIntegerPreference("rulerType", units); } When I say "current documet units" I mean the units of measurement in the transformation window and on the ruler. However, in order to “see” the new units of measurement, you need to create a new document. How can I make these changes appear in the current document?

I'm busy creating a logo using a combination of text (created with the text tool) and shapes (created with the pen tool).When I put a stroke on said logo the outlines of each shape become visible.I would like the stoke to be applied to the logo as a whole and not to each element.How should I combine the text and shapes so that Illustrator sees it as one shape/image/thing?Thanks in advance
