This text shows Group option in drop down menu of the Main bar but it does not show Group option in drop down menu in the graphic area. What is reason for that?

Hello, I always seem to have issues with this, sometimes things look amazing and other times they don't, there is no rhyme or reason for this. When uploading images of my surface pattern designs from Illustrator to my website or InDesign, as either jpg, png, or pdf, depending on which one doesn't look too hideous because of the white lines, a lot of the time the white lines appear. If I turn off anti aliasing, sometimes, the lines disappear, but then it looks like a hot mess of pixelation. I have also tried to round the output of the vector prior to exporting as jpg, png or pdf to full numbers ie 4cm instead of 4.023cm to try and control the issue, but does not necessarily work all the time. I seemed to have gone a few years with no issues then bam! Issues. Maybe each update of Illustrator influences it also? Is this an Adobe issue or a monitor/proportion issue? Thanks very much.Bec

This font has taken over times new roman (regular) in my Adobe Illustrator when I choose times new roman. However, in Microsoft word, times new roman functions totally fine.  I am attaching the pdf document that I downloaded from the internet. Times new roman gets messed up when I import it in Illustrator. I have a document set up using separarte textboxes with different fonts for heading and body text. Both fonts are using the same size text and leading, and all textboxes are area type with auto size on. Somehow in the middle of setting up this document, I noticed that the baselines in some textboxes were getting unaligned and I have no idea what is going on. Have I accidentally messed something up or is there a bug here?

Hallo, ich habe gerade die CreativCloud installiert und auch die App Illustrator. Nur beim öffnen ergibt sich ein Fehler. Es öffnet sich ein Feld mit Adobe Logo, warscheinlich ein Anmelde Feld. Ab da kann man aber keine Bedienung mehr vornehmen, außer schließen. Das ist auch bei den anderen Adobe Programmen. Lizenz liegt vor. 

Hello all. When I want to export my drawing to PNG or when I want to add crop marks or even when I want to adapt my drawing area to my object it always gives me unwanted whitespace. Ive looked for hidden objects but I can't find anything. See pictures.

I am having an error that the Font does not appear in Character when clicking on desing.The font name will be hidden but in the system that Font already exists.If I install a new one, the Font will appear but if I turn off and turn on AI again, the Font will disappear, only some fonts are broken, not all.As the 2 pictures below, 1 picture is the Font I just installed and 1 picture is me turning AI off and on again

When the contextual taskbar got added to Photoshop Beta, I requested a pin function for it, so it doesn't jump to random locations. Very important for muscle memory.I personally placed it on the top right of my application, near the Windows minimize, close etc buttons. Perfect, because usually there's nothing there in most Adobe apps. I've not used the contextual taskbar in Illustrator much yet, but I just now found out you can't drag it out of the canvas window. So the tab you're working in, it's always overlapping your workspace. For the same reason as pinning being rather important (for muscle memory), this should also be possible. Honestly I don't get why they have been implemented in different ways across all apps to begin with. But please at least make them them behave the same across all applications, so I can pin them all in the same place, in every application.

Hi,I am trying to connect adobe illustrator from .net application.i have installed Illustrator on my local machine and added COM-Type Library->adobe illustrator CC Type library( interop.illustrator.dll ) to connect from .Net application.but whenever i am running my code it is opening adobe illustrator IDE while creating instance on below line.Illustrator.Application adobe = new Illustrator.Application();The Issue is-after application deployment, dll is not connecting because illustrator is not installed on that server machine.I want to deploy application with this dll on server machine where i don't want to install Illustrator IDE.can anyone suggest that how can i connect this dll on server without installing illustrator IDE and why .net is trying to open Illustrator window on creating instance?Thanks in Advance.

My toolbar only offers the curvature tool. It has replaced the pen tool section completely. Anybody know how to fix this?

Hi,I am working on Illustrator on Mac 10.5.8 and I use a lot the arrow keys(page up,page down) with combination with shift, but suddenly they stop working,that happens only in illustrator,if i want to use them to scroll on a web page they work fine.so i was wondering what happend,and how can i fix that?Thanks!!

I have an image that keeps making Illustrator crash every time I try tracing it. It's less complicated than another one I successfully worked on before the recent update ... but I also confirmed that the problem seems to be with that one image, other files aren't making it crash.  Is it possible that there's just too much detail for my crappy laptop processor to handle? Did the recent update make the program push the processor a little harder? Thinking I might need to upgrade my laptop

I'm trying to use my illustrator account but the variable width profile is greyed out in any new document that I create and any document I work on which is affecting my ability to print. Does anybody know how to fix this issue? Thank you.

Hello,  i am trying to make a thicker line of a png in illustrator. So i imported my png and did a image trace and then expanded it. Then i tried to use path offset to thicker the lines of my png, because i want to make a DXF file of it to print it on my 3d printer. The path offset doesn't open, so i am doing something wrong i think. 

Everytime I restart my computer, the stylus begins to work as a brush, and then suddenly stops working. It often displays a small loading circle near the brush when this happens, and I cannot seem to figure out the problem here. Hey there guys, I'm having trouble filling in my PNG image with a swatch. I've viewed tutorial after tutorial and seemed to be a straightforward process, but nothing I have tried is successful. Anyone have any idea what I need to do or what I'm missing? I need the logo to be the swatch shown, keeping the transparent background. Bonus: First things first, but I'd eventually need/like to make the logo overall thicker, if anyone could help on that would be soooo greatly appreciated, I've also looked everywhere and couldn't find anything. Thank you in advance! 

ch habe ein Update in Illustrator auf die Version 2024 gemacht. Seitdem werden mir die Eigenschaften nicht mehr wie gewohnt rechts in der Leiste angezeigt, sondern oben in der Leiste. Bei den Eigenschaften rechts in der Leiste stehen jetzt nur noch Schnellaktionen. Wie kann ich das ändern?

I've got a project with LOTS of linework, and don't want lines to automatically join when I draw. Is there a way to do that on the same layer? TIA

I am migrating to Illustrator from Corel.  Beginner question: If I draw a shape like a square, and assign it an outline, is there a way for me to remove the outline from one segment of the square (like I recall doing in Flash back in the day).  Example image attached. 

When I go to Swatches>Open Swatch Library>Other Library... and select another Illustrator document, nothing happens. I don't get the new swatch libary appearing anyhwere. I have tried selecting Show All Swatches and still nothing happens. The name of the swatches does appear on the Swatch flyout window. See the image below. The two documents at the bottom "BMV Chrismtas ornaments.eps" and "BMV Primary CMYK.eps" I selected those files and the swatches are not showing anywhere. Any help is appreciated.   

I have been using my Adobe Illustrator regularly.. And since the past 1 week or so, I was making one portfolio in which it consists of 12 artboards... On saving and trying to convert to PDF, when the pdf is opening in chrome, it's showing me continuously, "This is an Adobe® Illustrator® File that was saved without PDF Content. To Place or open this le in other applications, it should be re-saved from Adobe Illustrator with the "Create PDF Compatible File" option turned on. This option is in the Illustrator Native Format Options dialog box, which appears when saving an Adobe Illustrator le using the Save As command" I have everything I could so in order to convert and print the exact Pdf, it's not helping me.... Please I know that you don't know me, I got you from Adobe community in chrome... Please help me and connect with me..

I am trying to understand why, when I add new vectors or graphics via Illustrator to my CC Library, some thumbnails randomly display with a white background. ...and if there's a way to display all of these without the white background. Using the 'Show Transparency Grid' option still shows the white background behind the graphic.
