Somehow, a bunch of my objects got duplicated directly on top of each other. I want to find the duplicates and delete them. Is there a script to assist with this?

I'm fairly new to AI and there is a lot that confuses me. Currently I am trying to hole punch my white paths through the black image underneathe. The reason I'm doing this is because the programe my artwork is going into needs to follow the paths, so the white area on my drawing needs to be transparent with no remaining paths or anchors.   This is what happens when I try to use the minus front feature : It deletes random areas in the artwork and doesnt actually cut through in the areas I'm trying to...Any ideas why this is happening and how I can fix it? I'm so stuck and have a deadline 😞

Installed Illustrator 2024 two months ago & everything has been working fine at first.Then one day it started freezing whenever I double-click on a layer to edit its options (see 1st photo). It also happens whenever I change things by increments, e.g., moving objects using keyboard arrow keys, changing font size by clicking the up/down arrows (see 2nd photo), or anything else that allows incrementing with those up/down arrows like corner radius, stroke width, etc. I haven't been able to find anything related to this specific behaviour online. Not sure if this is related but I mainly use cloud documents for work purposes. Machine info:MacOS Sonoma 14.5Macbook Pro (M2 Pro chip, 16GB RAM)Adobe Illustrator 2024 v28.5 Thanks a lot!

I have never made a clipping mask on this project file but a clipping mask appears. I am tired of having to release the clipping mask every time I visit this file. As far as I have googled, nobody else has had this problem other than a user in photoshop.  

How can I create an offset out line with a graphic style instead of having 2 layers like the bottom text?

 good morning,I would like to understand how to draw the die path shown in the upper part of the image starting from the dimensions of the box (width, height, depth) indicated in the lower part of the image.it is a double-wave corrugated cardboard box.in this specific case, the die path shown in the upper part of the image does not have the measurements in proportion to the box and therefore I am not sure whether the cutting of the flaps is correct.is there a tutorial or a guide for drawing the die path of a carton box?other best practices?thanks. may be I'm a little bit off topic... 

I have searched the forums and found questions about this, but no answers.  I am pulling my hair out every day hating Illustrator because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to disable docking behaviour when I'm moving around windows with artwork.  I accidentally dock/join windows all day long and have to tear them back off.  I understand some people like this (can't fathom why, but to each her own) but please, can anyone assist me here? It's become a real stress inducer because I often work with multiple files open and want to be able to move things where I want.  Yes, I have gone through all of the options in preferences, many times.  Nothing seems to work. The behaviour where one graphic window joins another as a tab is especially infuriating.  Yep, I have disabled "open documents as tabs."  It did not work.   

I'm using Adobe illustrator 2024 on a Mac Studio Apple M2 Max. The application is glitching and the workplace window is resizing on its own, whenever I zoom in or zoom out, what can I do to fix this?As a point of reference, Photoshop 2024 works fine on my system and does not have the same issues with auto-resizing.I'm using a Samsung QN90BA50 for my monitor, and I use a program called "BetterSnapTool" to size my windows to fit the screen.thanks in advance for the help

hello, ive been tring to get the stroke to show in my font but for some reason when i add the 3d extrude effect the stroke wont show on some of the letters. Not sure why i was wondering if someone could help me. I noticed  it only happens to the letters i used the shape builder tool on. 

Why don't I feel that it's not centering right.The guid is in the center, but when I center align to the artboard it doesn't seem to aling to the center??

I know how to turn off layer thumbnails for a single file, but is there a way to make it the default? I think my complex files work better when they aren't using resources to render the thumbnails.

Can anyone tell me how to select a bunch of images and text and then make them proportionally smaller or bigger? I used to select what I wanted and then grab a corner, hold down shift, and drag inward, but it didn't give me that option. Am I missing something here?

I've been having issues with my top menu. Since updating my Illustrator the top menu on my 1920x1080 screen gets automatically shortened and I'm forced to clic top and bottom arrows to look through all options.The menu looks normal when I use my 2560x1440 screen so I assume there must be some kind of option to change back the menu to normal. Does anyone know how to fix it? 

I have installed new drivers for my gpu (nvidia quadro p2000), uninstalled and installed illustrator as well but nothing happens. In photoshop however does everything work fine 

Unbelievable I pay $400 per year for Adobe when all it does is crash and bug out.  I cannot select or move text on my design in Illustrator. It is not locked, I have shut down my laptop and restarted illustrator a few times.  

I try to create a portrait in pencil strokes of a photograph and I can't get it to respect the model of the photo. I've been doing tests for 3 hours and I've gotten close but it's not what I'm looking for. Could you help me with any advice? Thank you.

I'm experimenting with Transparency.I have one object which I want to set the "Fill" opacity to 50%.The stroke should not change accordingly? But it does not seem to stay at 100% opacity?What am I missing?Looks like I can't set the Fill and Stroke opacity separately, such as in InDesign?
