HiI have a multiple pages pdf file that i want to open in AI so i can edit texts.The problem is that when i open the pdf in AI, all fonts are automatically outlined. I do have the font type on my system but it doesn't prevent Ai from outlining all fonts.Is there a way to "tell" AI not to outline fonts when opening the pdf?

Hi all, Please bear with me as I'm not technologically gifted (nor, often, competent). I have googled this problem as best I can but to no avail. When I started scrolling through the 'Find More' fonts list this morning, a good number of them were not previewing. After some experimenting, these are (I think) the pertinent details: The issue is only manifesting on the 'Find More' list, not the 'Fonts' list;Every font family up to 'Karmina' is previewing with no problem;Thereafter, I estimate 80-90% of families not to be previewing;When I click to see the fonts within a family that is not previewing, they all individually preview with the exception of the regular font (I assume this has something to do with the lack of preview beforehand);This issue is affecting font families I have activated as well as those I have not, but it is not affecting them when they appear on the 'Fonts' list as opposed to the 'Find More' list. I hope this makes sense and I would be extr

I am creating a rack card and I made a hexagonal pattern to have in the background. When saved as a PDF black intersecting lines appear throughout. Is there a way to remove them? I don't want that to show up when it is printed. Everything was created in Adobe Illustrator. I attached pictures to show:

Recently, I deleted some Illustrator [ai] files accidently. And, I searched tmp files from auto-save [coz, I turn on Auto-Save on preference] , but the folder is empty. Then, I tried a lot of recovery softwares [free version].But, I found nothing.So, what kind of softwares should i use? . Help me, please.

(Please excuse my English is not that good) my experiment was bad with the refunds , I subscribed with the free trial and I used just one app nothing more just one app and used it once,so I forgot to cancel my trial just to find its already paid, I called customer service then they told me there is no refund and u need to pay another fees. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK PLS

Made a file in Adobe Illustrator CC2018 and saved it as an uncompressed PDF file with all possible options selected for it to remain an Illustrator file. Made some changes and saved. Now one day later I opened the file and to my surprise it opens into an older, earlier saved version. The preview (spacebar-click in the finder) shows the correct data, opening the file in Acrobat Reader or rendering it in Photoshop shows the correct data, even placing the file inside a new Illustrator file shows the correct data (this doesn't help as the file loses its text boxes and masking effects). But opening in Illustrator opens an earlier saved file. Beyond comprehension.Anybody had this happen and found a solution? The changes I made between the initial file and the editing took me 2+ hours, don't want to do them again.

Bonjour à tous,Je me retourne les neurones depuis un certain temps sur ce problème. J'expérimente la 3D d'illustrator sur des formes simples. Je les exporte en svg afin de pouvoir les utiliser sur d'autres supports, comme Figma. Mais j'observe que mes éléments sont légèrement rognés. Quand j'ouvre le fichier svg, que ce soit sur Figma ou de nouveau sur Illustrator, mes formes sont altérées. J'ai essayé de nombreux exports, forme par forme ou en groupe, notamment d'exporter tout le plan de travail pour avoir un cadre large, et bien rien ne change.Je pense que la 3D est mal comprise lors de l'export.Comment puis-je régler ce souci? l'avez-vous déja rencontré?Merci pour votre aide. Avant export: Screenshot du fichier svg:

Could someone take a look at my script and see if you can get a file to be saved as a TIFF?  VBscript is my main language so maybe I missed something in JavaScript.  The script will run... No matter which program I use (Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign) if I save my document as a PDF, it saves as an "Adobe Illustrator Document". Therefore whenever I go to view a PDF it opens in Illustrator, even though my default program for viewing PDFs is "preview". The only way I am able to actually see them is if i switch to cpu but its very slow when im scaling objects. Im not new to gpu and its issues with rendering complex things and i usually dont have an issue when gpu doesnt render a stroke or glitches the fill of a shape when Im zooming in and out but completly vanashing almost half of my objects is crazy. Also i just realized it was working fine before its just that when I changed the document to rgb from cmyk thats when the gpu stopped rendering those lines (even though theyre black). BTW I have already tried turning animation mode off but that doesnt work either. lmk what i should do next (first pic is the document w cpu and second pic is it with gpu). 

Help! I'm under deadline to update my wine labels and my designer from last year "created outlines"so now all of my fonts are un-editable. They just appear as thousands of blue dots when selected.Is there a way to change them back to regular text?

Hi, I'm writting stunned- but hopeful to resolve this issue. Yesterday my illustator crushed, without any reason.. and files that I've been working all this week- are gone, even though the were all saved in creative cloud. Is definitely unacceptable to be real. So there has to be a way to restore it, even if it seems evaporated. Otherwise I'm afraid to put my time into another project. Please help. Thanks

See the attached image. I just want to drag an image into Illustrator and have it make one path automatically. Is this possible? I have to do this with many images, so pencil and pen tool (manual method) won't do. Thanks

How do I dimension objects that are 1/16"? I only see the ¼" option. Am I missing something?

hi adobe community, i am an architecture student who has watched a few tutorials on how to use pre-made custom patterns as hatches for sections and in each of them, the eydropper tool has been used. I have downloaded a few illustrator patterns from adobe stock and proceed to use them in my drawings - from what i understand: select desired shape > click eyedropper tool > click on the pattern and voila. I have done this multiple times with various keys pressed at the same time (ctrl, alt, fn etc.), but all it does is colour my main shape with the colour of the pattern (black), and not with the colour itself.  Please can someone help, I really don't know how I can fix this Many thanks!A

Hi I used the font Richela Kids on my other mac  for 5 years. I just bought a new mac so i downloaded the font. I just noticed since a couple days, everytime i used the font after i save and go back to the file. : The letters are all slightly messed up.  I deleted the font and re installed, same issues.  Any tips? Heres a picture of what it should looks and after with the red circle to show here its messed up.  Thank you 

I've download the font Rubik in arabic language from Google Fonts and copy-paste a sentence in arabic from gmail. Illustrator displays the font wrong while checking this same font in text edits and displays it correctly. The same happend with Baloo_Bhaijaan_2 and Lalezar, both from Google Fonts... Any help?

Beginning around CC2018, it looks like the Adobe export code for PNG is stripping out existing XMP metadata (that is in the AI file still). Other formats maintain this metadata (in particular JPGs). Every version from CS until sometime after CC2015/17, this worked. XMP is an Adobe supported standard; how can they justify stripping out the XMP metadata?

Preview mode produces this dialog box as well. What is the reason for that? 

I have this logo and the customer wants me to print it with a tie dye pattern. What is the best way to make it a tie dye pattern. I will be screen printing shirts with the logo.

Hello,Can I place and Run Illustrator Extension from other place than C Drive ?

When I select a range of artboards to save as PDF, numerous times Illustrator saves all the artboards as PDF. This is very annoying. This happened with me 4 times in a row this morning.
