Hi,I am currently using the Salesforce Connector for InDesign extension, which supports InDesign versions 12 to 17. However, I am using a version of InDesign that is not within this supported range.Could you kindly provide me with an older version of InDesign that is compatible with the extension, or suggest any alternative solutions for integrating InDesign with Salesforce?I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter. Please let me know how I can proceed.

Our previous indesign template was set up in such a way that the defaul PDF export location was the same folder where the indesign file was saved. That was perfect and exactly the way I want it to be. However, when I was creating a new version of the template, I created and exported a test PDF. Now, no matter where I save the indesign file when using the new template, exporting a PDF always defaults to the folder that I exported the test PDF to.How can I fix this? I could swear I remember seeing an option somewhere in some settings dialog that allowed you to set the default export location to the same directory where the indd file is saved, but I haven't been able to find it.I know there have been older threads that have talked about this, but the answers were all basically that it's not possible because that's just how indesign works. However, like I mentioned, our old template that was created by someone else functioned that way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a problem setting my Paragraph style numbered list to sort by certain alphabet (in my case Slovenian). Is there any workaround to do this? The only one for now i see is to manually correct it (converting d) to character and change it to letter "č"). Example:my list goes:                 But i want to go:a)                                    a)b)                                    b)c)                                    c)d)                                    č) would really apriciate any tips.Thank you!

J'ai conçu un livre avec des signets et des hyperliens avec renvois de pages, j'ai renommé les fichiers et les liens ne fonctionne plus.Une fenêtre m'informait que les liens ne fonctionne plus et qu'il fallait les mettre à jour depuis la fenêtre Hyperliens.En premier sur l'un des fichiers il n'y a que des signets et pas d'hyperlien et deuxièment dans les fichiers qui comportent des hyperliens avec renvois de page l'onglet pour mettre à jour les hyperliens est grisé.

InDesign is crashing perpetually. I can't figure out why but it looks to be related to either the command or cntrol keys. I have restarted, uninstalled it and tried againg and it keeps crashing! On deadline so I am starting to fume. It never used to crash on 19...? Any ideas how to solve this 'making my job (cursing removed)' riddle?

Does anyone know how to control the UI Sizing slider in Preferences > User Interface Scaling via AppleScript? (And, if so, would you please show me how 😁?)   I have a need to toggle the user interface scaling between Small and Medium fairly frequently.    

Hello AllI'm an experience Indesign user, but I rarely use the "Book" function. I'm working on a very large document (about 400 pages) and have added many separate Indd fiels to my indb file. I created a table of contents, and have been using text anchors to link to pages, but when I export the book to pdf, the links go to the wrong pages.When I go back into the Indd doc, the links have changed and are wrong in the hyperlink panel. I've done this over and over again--so I know it's not just a mistake.Any help would be appreciated. 

I have InDesign versions 2025 and also Beta installed on my laptop (Macbook Pro, Sonoma 14.5). I would like all InDesign files to open in version 2025. I have taken the steps of Get Info > Open With > choose version 2025 > Change All > then "Continue" with the verification window. After doing so, it will default back to Beta. Is there a way to fix this?

With the latest version of InDesign, I’m encountering an issue. When I choose the export option for HTML5, it directly opens the "Export HTML5 Package" overlay, bypassing the "Publish Your Document Online" pop-up. Does anyone know what might be causing this? (See image below.) This happened with both V20.0 and V20.1.

Hey!The new endnote feature in Indesign CC 2018 is a feature I've been waiting for for years, but I can't figure out how to use link to the same endnote in multiple places.I'm working on a medical brochure. Specific published studies has to be referenced to in multiple places.But, when I try to add a endnote it automatically makes a new one, how do I reference to one that is already entered?Example:This text references the first endnote(1)This text references the second endnote(2)This text is supposed to reference the first endnote once more(1)Please, Adobe or anyone in here – why is this not possible? Or is it?

Is there a script (that works) or does anyone know of any way to rename pages in indesign rather than 1,2,3,4 etcI manually export each page separately and have to rename them accordingly. Which takes too much time. I have to rename them the page size and language it is in. Two examples of exported page names-  1080x1080_DE.jpg   1080x1920_FR.jpgIf there is a way to rename all the pages on a template that I can use in the future as it would save hours. Ie, click export all and they would be saved with the correct file names. I have had a look online and have no joy.

Our programme consists of around 70 children's books that constantly need to be translated into several languages. I'm trying to fit a text frame to its text content using the keyboard shortcut. When I type the shortcut (OPT+COMMAND+C), nothing happens. When I do it via the menu (Object > Fitting > Fit Frame to Content), it works. There are no extra line breaks after the text which might prevent this, and my keyboard is functioning perfectly with no dead keys.Any help much appreciated.

Here’s one of the most requested features for InDesign!    InDesign now lets you import the SVG and SVGZ format files in InDesign and InCopy documents. Hi,I'm having issues with InDesign. At random times, I'm all of a sudden unable to save my document. I can't save, save as or undo anything. All these options are "grey" in the menu, and all I can do is close the document and hope for the best. First I thought it was because I had an old iMac, but recently I bought a brand nye iMac with the latest version of InDesign,  but the issue is still happening, with several different documents pretty often.   Working with a lot of books and deadlines, this is very stressful and extremly annoying. I always use the shortcut for saving, but then I realize nothing has been saved for a long time, and I have to start all over again.  Is there a way to fix this?

I would appreciate help writing code to find the first character of footnote text on a page, even if the first character is a continuation of a note from a previous page.I tried using AI, I managed to achieve the desired result but it works very slowly...Thanks in advance

I'd like to add a cross-reference link to my selected text, but every option I try in the Cross-Reference Formats dialog *replaces* the text I highlight. I want my text *style* to change, not the text itself. Example: in this sentence, "All features from the basic module can also be used within any advanced module.", I want to link 'basic module' to a relevant section in the document. I do *not* want to insert the page number or section title; I just want the link added to the existing "basic module" text. Does anyone know what I'm missing? Thanks in advance. (If you're wondering why I don't want to add page numbers or section titles, there are 2 reasons: because I have 100s of cross-references and the document becomes unreadable with all that inserted info; because it'll just be a digitally-viewed PDF that no one will ever print or care about page numbers.)
