I need to do this since I have a project catalog I work in occasionally that needs to stay in sync with another computer that only works up to ver 14.0.1. ChatGPT says it should ask if I want to keep an old version when updating but it did not. Adobe support says that's right no option is given and it will always remove an older version. My idea is to change the CC program file location, then re-install the old version I want, then change the location back. Is that going to work or will Adobe still find a way to disable my current updated version? Adobe support says they don't know if that will work. Windows 11.
Title: Restore direct Flag and Color Label assignment in the Develop module toolbarFor many years, Lightroom Classic allowed photographers to assign flags and color labels while working in the Develop module. This made perfect sense in a real-world editing workflow.A typical workflow is: Cull and make an initial selection in the Library module. Edit the selected images in the Develop module. After finishing the edit, immediately decide whether the image should be promoted (for example, from Yellow to Green) or receive a Pick flag. Today, the toolbar icons in the Develop module act as filmstrip filters instead of assigning flags or color labels. Because the icons look almost identical to the original controls, it is easy to activate a filter by mistake. In many cases the current photo disappears from the filmstrip because it no longer matches the selected filter.Filtering the filmstrip while editing is rarely part of an efficient workflow, whereas assigning flags and color labels im

This happens on every photo. I don't remember this from previous versions of Lightroom Classic.
I am using an Nvidia 4080 on Win11 pro. All drivers and software up to date. I have no idea why Lightroom sees it as windows 10 business. It's windows 11 pro. Regardless, the card obviously blows the system requirements out of the water. Any idea why I can't use this new, 1200$ card for full acceleration?
(This post isn’t really a “Question” but I felt it made sense to put it under “Questions”)LrC 15.4.1I realize that a chain link fence is not a "reflection", but I got a little crazy and tried Reflection Removal on this photo of a Black Howler Monkey at the zoo. First, the image before Reflection Removal. Next the image after reflection removal. I think you will agree that this has improved the image.
When updating metadata fields for a multiple selection in the grid view, only the current photo field updates. It used to update the metadata field for all selected photos.I use this lost feature to update metadata fields such as sub location, caption etc for a couple of hundred photos at a time.I am now having to enter the data per photo which becomes a huge task.
Print module preview randomly turns blank. Sometimes the image appears briefly before disappearing. Epson ET-8550. Reset preferences, disabled GPU, restarted Mac, issue persists. Apple Photos and Epson Print Layout work.
Currently I use the gauss tools from Photoshop to blur faces. Is there something within Lightroom I can use for this? There is this new feature for getting parts of the image out of focus but I could not find a quick way to use it for my task. Thanks!
Hardware & Storage Environment Workstations: MacBook Pro Max (M1, macOS) & Windows 11 Pro Desktop NAS Model: Synology DS920+ DSM Version: DSM 7.3.2-86009 Update 3 Lightroom Version: Lightroom Classic v15.4 / v15.4.1 (Currently parked back on v15.3.1 for data safety) The Workflow & The Breaking Point My core catalog runs locally on a high-speed internal SSD. All original RAW files, heavy Linear DNGs (HDR/Panos), and asset folders live on an SMB-mounted network share mapped via a Synology Drive Team Folder. The moment I updated to Lightroom Classic v15.4 / v15.4.1, heavy transactional network writes—specifically bulk metadata flushes (Cmd+S / Ctrl+S) and file saving operations—began dropping out. This resulted in truncated file sizes, corrupted DNG headers ("file appears unsupported or damaged"), and failed catalog backups directly to network paths. Crucial Note: Completely rolling back to Lightroom Classic v15.3.1 and restoring a catalog backup completely resolves th

My lightroom has been crashing constantly all day since the new update loaded. I can’t import and if I open an existing catalog I might get to edit a photo before it crashes, but usually not.
I've been using Lightroom Classic to share albums for years using the Share & Invite feature, and this is the first time I've run into this issue. My workflow:Create a shared album. Enable Allow Downloads. Send the shared link to desired party.Recently, I’ve been told that the downloaded JPGs are much larger than expected. I confirmed the same thing myself. When downloading a single photo from the shared album, I can choose between a full-size JPG or a smaller version. However, when downloading the entire album, there is no size option, and it appears to download only the larger JPGs (my last album averaged about 8 MB per photo, some 10-20 MB).I don't remember this being the case in the past. Has Adobe changed how shared album downloads work, or is there a setting I'm overlooking that allows entire album downloads to use smaller JPGs instead of full-size files? My goal is share reasonably compressed JPGs without having to export and upload a separate gallery.
For the second time in a month, LrC when opening says it can’t find the catalogue. Today that happened and I had just used the catalogue yesterday. Today I am trying to use the most recent back up. Last month when it happened, I had to reconnect all my images. This was time consuming. Am I doing something wrong or different. Have not had these problems in the six or so years using the app.
I have just got an ASUS ProArt 279CRV monitor and 8GB Graphics card but I cannot get Lightroom Classic to develop HDR. I have ticked the HDR boxes in Preferences presets and performance. I have uninstalled Lightroom Classic and reinstalled but still no joy. Any ideas?
I’ve been using 15.4.1 for the past 10 days now and thought I’d share some experiences and issues I’ve found with the latest version; The new subject selection tool in masks is superb! I rarely need to make further adjustments after using it now. I’ve not noticed any change in speed over 15.3 either way and I use a fast W11 PC with 64GB of RAM and multiple SSD’s. My catalog contains circa 15,000 images which are stored on a NAS with the catalog on an internal dedicated SSD. Every time I start LRC since the upgrade, the NAS is running flat out for the first 5 minutes after which it calms down, why? Initially I assumed it was a catalog upgrade but considering I use it every day surely thats been completed by now? Duplicate image detection and catalog sort functions are both turned off in the preferences panel as I have no use for them. I’ve included this comment to try and help isolate the issue in point 3 above. With a slider active, you lose the RGB or LAB read outs below the histogram
1. Disconnect from all internet2. Try to open Maps module3. Switch back to Loupe/Grid modules Result: error message is stuck on screen. Won't go away until connecting or quitting Lighrroom. Expected: error message disappears after switching modules, pressing the Escape key, or something. I've seen two different messages. One said: "Unable to connect to Adobe servers. Map module will not work." (screenshot) The other was much shorter, I don't recall exactly but it was to the effect of "Map not connected". Both got stuck. I don't recall having this problem in the past, so possibly this a regression in 14.5.x or other recent-ish version.
Hi everyone,I'm having trouble downloading the version of Lightroom Classic that I need.Because of my computer's operating system and hardware compatibility, I cannot use the latest version of Lightroom Classic. I specifically need Lightroom Classic 13.5.2, but the Creative Cloud Desktop app only offers the latest version and does not provide an option to install version 13.5.2.My system information:Computer Model: (e.g., MacBook Pro 2017) Operating System: (e.g., macOS Monterey 12.7.6) Adobe Creative Cloud Subscription: ActiveI'd like to ask:Is there any official way to download Lightroom Classic 13.5.2? Can Adobe Support provide an installer or an official download link for this version? Are there any other safe and officially supported solutions? My Adobe subscription is active. I only need version 13.5.2 because it is the newest version compatible with my computer. If anyone has experienced the same issue, I'd really appreciate your advice.Thank you!
I purchased sever profile packs from Cobalt. These require base packs which I also purchased and installed (for my specific cameras).I installed the Cobalt profiles with no error message. I open a raw file taken with a camera I installed the base pack for. But the Cobal Film Emulation Profile do not show up in the profile browser.I checked via the manage profiles if it is hidden. It does not even appear in the list of profiles inside the manage profile window.Any tips on what to do? I checked the profile folders in LR and I can see the Cobalt Film emulation profile in the directory.
I am working with an Epson SC-P700, Windows 11, Photoshop & lightroom classic. The Epson drivers can show a preview of the image to be printed before committing ink to paper. I am trying to print grids of photos on A3 and A4 sized paper which will be folded into booklets - the folding process means alternate rows are inverted. In lightroom classic I start by selecting A3 borderless in Print Setup. I can define a cell 419.8x297mm which is the full size of A3 without any border deductions. And in layout style I select custom package. I want an 8x4 grid, so I set a cell size of 52.475 (419.8/8) x 74.25 (297/4), having set the size I just keep clicking the cell size button under add to package, and I get all 32 cells without going to a new page. I put pictures in the cells and print. What the Epson preview (and print if I allow) shows me the lightroom image been heavily clipped at two edges and lightly clipped at the the other two, but it does print right to the edge of he the paper.
Hello, I need some help please.I can't import photos into Lightroom Classic. When I try to locate the folder, the thumbnails appear gray with no preview. When I try to quit the software, it crashes. I've tried everything: updates, creating another library, uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom Classic, restarting—nothing works. Thanks
I'm running into an issue with Lightroom CC's Denoise feature and wondering if anyone else has experienced this.In the past, when I wanted to denoise an entire album, I would apply Denoise to the first image and then sync/paste the settings across the rest of the photos. Lightroom would take some time to process everything (sometimes several minutes or even hours), but it worked correctly.Today, I tried the same workflow and noticed that although Lightroom indicates the photos have Denoise applied, the images clearly have not actually been processed. The Denoise check mark appears to be there, but there's no visible noise reduction. So far I've tried:Restarting Lightroom Restarting my computer Checking that Lightroom is up to date Syncing settings from both Library and Develop views Reapplying settings multiple timesHas anyone seen this behavior before? Is there a known fix, or could this be a bug introduced in a recent update?I am using Lightroom Classic (15.3.1). Any suggestions would
When exporting a developed and saved closeup ,psd of a subject from Lightroom, the skin tones on the resulting .jpg are splotchy, exhibiting random areas of pink and yellow. It is doing that consistently. This morning, I also found a .psd with the same problem. I’m rendering the .psds in ProPhoto RGB and have tried, unsuccessfully, to see if the GPU might be causing the problem. I also received suggestions to try to export the .psd from Photoshop, as well as adding a very low additional noise (.3%). They didn’t help.
When I use the crop tool on an image and select next image the crop lines remains but the only tool option is zoom. I then have to close and reopen the tool to do the next image. This cropped up a few months back in questions but thee was no apparrent resolution
Lightroom will not open the icon pops once then noting happens, it doesn’t even seem to try.
