Restore backup of catalog with 2391 folders and 48695 photos. Open current catalog. Select Import from Another Catalog. Open restored backup of the same catalog. Catalog Contents does not show all folders; stops at 2024\2024-12-28; folders for following years not shown, boxes to left of folders do nothing. Restored backup catalog passes integrity check, opens and works normally, and 2025 - 2026 folders are present.Folders 2025 - 2026 not shownRestored catalog backup
Hi, I have been using Lightroom for years. I discovered that the last edits I did on images for a job were not saved -150 images :(. My images are Raw (NEF), all the settings are good: “saving metadata” not on pause, “automatically write changes into sidecar files (xmp)” set, I am not editing my raw files from images where they were imported (they are in the right explorer file) All of my other RAW images in explorer have their xmp next to them, but not these 150 ones. The thing I have been experiencing lately is, when I close Lightroom, it tells me that it is still writing the xmp. And I wait and wait (for hours sometimes) and the status never changes. So I have to close Lightroom nevertheless. I don’t know if the xmp files have not been created or if they have been saved somewhere else. And I don’t know how to solve this problem, at least for the next edits I’ll do. One of the weird things is that the rating of the files (one, two stars) was saved - the ratings should also appear in
Does anyone know of a good, expert paid support service for complex LrC problems that cannot be solved with standard Adobe support or within this community? Thanks.
When multiple images are selected it is possible to Right Click then choose Create Virtual Copies. However, if you use the keyboard shortcut (Cmd + ' on Mac or Ctrl + ' on Windows) it only creates a copy of the currently active image in the selection. The behaviour between the right click menu and the keyboard shortcut should be consistent.

It pushed me to finally look into why my setup has been struggling. For a while now, Adobe Lightroom Classic just hasn’t been running like it used to. Editing feels sluggish, and once I get into Develop—especially with masks—it really starts to grind. What’s frustrating is that it used to run smoothly on this same machine. Something has clearly changed, and I’m trying to figure out what.In the Adobe Lightroom Classic System Info, I’m seeing GPUDeviceEnabled: false, which (as I understand it) means Lightroom isn’t actually using my 3080 Ti.What’s confusing is that:In Lightroom Preferences → Perfo
Auto and vertical transform rarely work. They are often off and need to be adjusted manually. It's no big deal until you're editing 200-300 images a day. It would be great if it worked even in presets. I would get hours back of my life.
Using LR Classic 13.2 on a MacBook Pro OS 13.6.4. When creating and exporting a web gallery, using the Classic Gallery template, and sizing the images, the sizes are increased by 100% when viewing in LR or a web browser (tried Chrome, Firefox, and Safari). So a 1000px image becomes 2000px, and noticeably softer in sharpness. However it doesn’t do this on my lower resolution monitor (2 monitor setup). I can move the browser window from monitor to monitor and see the image quality change. Why is this happening and how can I maintain the image size specified (is this html code I can modify)? Thanks!
I used the Win11 OS to move a large number of files and a few subfolders from a folder to a folder of the same name on another drive. The receiving folder already had a large number of files in it. After the transfer was complete, LrC showed the folder and the files were missing. I clicked to locate the folder, navigated to the receiving folder and selected to merge. Nothing happened. LrC was using about 4% of cpu, but after a couple of hours no files or folders had been relocated. I then tried locate one the small subfolders (they contained a couple of hundred jpegs) and they were quickly found and LrC moved them to the new folder. There were 5 subfolders and I moved them one at a time to the new folder. I then tried locating a single file in the folder with the option to find nearby files selected. It found the single file, but none of the nearby files. It may be that LrC is failing because of the large number of files that were moved (~25K). Is there an upper limit? It m
Hi. After updating LR 15.1.1 to version 15.2.1, I can't use mask copying or templates using AI masks. After downgrading LR to the previous version, everything returns to normal.I have all the latest updates installed for Windows and my graphics card. I'm planning on purchasing a new laptop. My only heavy use is Lightroom Classic. I seldom use Photoshop. I never game. The rest is online stuff and MS Outlook.I currently have a Dell Inspiron 14 Plus with 16GB DDR5, 1x 8GB onboard + 1x SoDIMM 8GB, 4800MHz, an Intl i7-12700H (2.30 GHz) processor; a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, and 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive.I am upgrading to take advantage of advancements in components. I don't want to spend more than $1,200 and ideally less. Since most laptop makers offer specific choices, what I'm looking for is specific advice on what I should go for in order to improve/speed up LR Classic (perhaps the best graphics card) and areas where I don't need to get the best (I've heard that 16GB of RAM is sufficient for LR.Thanks in advance!
AS of a few days ago, when I create an object mask, LrC seems to have defaults for the masking (Exposure, texture, clarity)I did not set a preset for these, I don’t use presets. The preset is set to “default”Screen grabs belowIs there a way to eliminate these preset settings? Thanks
Lightroom Classic consistently freezes on launch whenever GPU acceleration is enabled, and the only way to use the application is to disable the GPU entirely and run on CPU. The issue is fully reproducible: Lightroom opens normally the first time a new catalog is created, but after importing photos and closing the program, Lightroom becomes unresponsive on the next launch, hanging during startup before the library grid appears and often leaving the .lock file behind after force‑quit. This occurs with both new and existing catalogs, regardless of whether they are stored on the C: drive or a secondary SSD and persists across multiple NVIDIA driver versions including the latest Studio Driver and previous releases. Other GPU‑accelerated applications such as Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve function normally, and no GPU errors appear in Windows Event Viewer, suggesting the problem lies in Lightroom’s GPU initialization rather than the driver. Resetting preferences temporarily helps, but the fr
I use different file formats In my Catalog, my original image files are [original filename] .NEF(Nikon Electronic Format) and also files created with DxO PureRAW, with extension .dng The Expected Result:To Sort my photos in Library module according to File Extension.(I wanted to see all .NEF files in consecutive order and all .DNG files in consecutive order)Using the Sort criteria ‘File Extension’, this was the Expected and Actual Result.BUT a FEW DAYS LATER:The Actual Result:A couple of days later, I tried to do the same thing with another folder, same Catalog, and suddenly, it doesn’t work. Images are sorting correctly according to ‘Capture Time’ but attempting to Sort by ‘File Type’ or ‘File Extension’ gives the same result and DOES NOT sort according to ‘File Extension.’I have tried everything:Optimise Catalog / Validate DNG Files / Synchronise Folder / Update DNG Previews & MetadataNothing works! It’s a bug!
In the attached raw image (and many other similar ones) shot from behind a window, there are evident reflections. The reflections removal tool in LrC leaves it essentially unaltered (only slightly darkened) while the corresponding tool in Camera Raw appears to do a fine job of cleaning it. The attached file is a jpeg rendition because the RAF file is too big.I am working on a iMac M4 running macOS Tahoe 26.4.1, LrC 15.3, Camera Raw 18.3Does anyone have an explanation for this? Does the case need to be brought to Adobe’s attention?
Today when I went to copy and paste settings between images it automatically pasted the previous crop. I never have the “crop” settings checkbox selected, and when I went to deselect it it was checked on and grayed out so I couldn‘t change it. I deselected all and the selected everything except crop and masking (my default settings) and it worked for one image. However as soon as I went to the next image it was back on and grayed out again. Is this a new feature with a hidden way to disable it, or is this a current bug? Any advice would be appreciated as I’m having to completely change my editing process because of this.LR 15.3 Macbook Pro M1 Max running MacOS 26.3.1 (a) (25D771280a)

Unable to import a camera profile for IR. Lightroom states it has b been imported but it is not listing ion profiles.
I absolutely need to use version 13.5.1 because I'm collaborating with a photographer who uses that exact version. If I update my catalog to anything else, they won't be able to open the work I send back! The problem is, Creative Cloud Desktop doesn't offer 13.5.1 for download! And to make things worse, my Mac is an older model and can't update its OS, so I can't install any of the newer versions either! Has anyone faced this before or found a direct download link? Please help! My work is completely stuck! #LightroomClassic #LightroomHelp #MacProblem #EditorLife #FreelanceLife #SearchingForLightroom" #AdobeCare

OM System has HR modes. Hand held (HHHR) and tripod (THR). HHHR uses camera movement to create a composite whereas THR is true sensor shift. For both modes, the camera can produce a HR jpeg and a HR raw (.ORF). It also produces a normal resolution raw tagged as .ORI.This was problematic for LrC but it appears to be resolved albeit partially. LrC will import the jpeg, the ORF and the ORI. However, if “Copy as DNG” is specified, the normal res ORI is converted to a DGN but the HR ORF remains as an ORF. This is strange in itself but often, not always, the thumbnail of the HR raw is tagged with “Photo is missing” and an exclamation mark. Sometimes this crashes the app. Attempts to read the missing file fail.
