When I click on the Lightroom Classic open button, a loading spin appears during few seconds then nothing happens (the soft doesn't load/appears). The strange thing is that I'm able to see Lightroom working in the Windows task manager. The other strange thing is that Photoshop lauch well. I tried :Every button that is possible (Lightroom.exe from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic or open button from the Create Cloud Desktop application)Execute Lightroom as administratorDowngrade Lightroom Classic to previous versions (13.0 and 12.0)Uninstall all Windows updates from 2024 My configuration :Lightroom - version 13.4Windows 11 - version 23H2
The Export option Add To Stack option isn't available when exporting from a smart collection, though it is available when exporting from a regular collection. Since the stack is created in the folder even when exporting from a regular collection, there is no valid design reason to restrict the option when exporting from a smart collection. To reproduce on LR 13.4 / Mac OS 14.5: 1. Select a smart collection and then a photo in that smart collection. 2. Do File > Export. 3. Select the options Export To: Same Folder As Original Photo and Add To This Catalog, and observe that the option Add To Stack is not visible (incorrect): 4. Select a collection and a photo in that collection. 5. Do File > Export. 6. Select the options Export To: Same Folder As Original Photo and Add To This Catalog, and observe that the option Add To Stack is visible (correct):
I cannot choose add to stack in export settings. Yes, I have "the same folder" option selected and "add to this catalog"Windows 11
Hi!I have an issue where my monitor keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. This only happens when using Lightroom. It happens when I execute tasks in Lightroom, which can be everything from reducing noise to adding a gradient. Can someone help me with this? Hi there, I've been having some troubles with the Adobe Creative Cloud app. When trying to access the Apps it's stuck on 'Loading Apps Tab' with the round loading symbol. I've gone through a few other posts with the different reccomendations of making sure everything is up to date (including Windows), turning off Firewalls, restarting computer multiple times etc...I've also seen the reccomendation of uninstalling the Creative Cloud, however this would uninstall Lightroom as well. I'm really hesitent to do this because I've got many years worth of presets and settings saved, and presumably when uninstalling the entire program it would remove those? How can I save all of my current settings/presets so if I uninstall it all, when I go to reinstall the program I can theoretically copy those settings/presets I've made back into the newly installed version? Or is there any way I can manually update Lightroom classic without going through the CC? Thanks in advance!
Hi, I have 3 monitors and have selected the 2nd monitor in the Lightroom Preferences (Display - Choose a monitor for the secondary window).Regularly on starting the programme, my choice is not respected and i have to re-enter the prefernces pane to change the secondary display.
Dear Community, I am designing a book in the Lightroom Classic (13.4) Book Module. The photos I want to use, are in different collections. But I cannot figure out how to change the collection in the Filmstrip section without also changing the book I am looking at. Can you help? I could of course put all the photos in one collection, but that would make the layout process extremely slow and annoying. Thanks!
Hello, I recently noticed when scanning some 120 negatives with my v600 & Silver Fast 9 the DNG files do not properly import to my LrC catalog. I scan them as 48bit/16bit raw dng files to convert in LrC with the Negative Lab plug in. I have done this for a few years now and never had an issue until yesterday when importing some scans. LrC will set up a preview of the file but won't show a numerical presence in the side menu. Any ideas?
Good morning all. My first time posting on this forum so please be kind. I have been using Sony XQD cards (64GB and 240GB) G Type cards for some time now and frequently experience import failures when attempting to import into LrC. This does not happen all the time, perhaps 2 out of 10 imports but I have not recorded the failure rate. I (mostly) always format my cards in camera before a shoot, but this does not seem to reduce the occurences of a failed import. I use Nikon D850, D500 and Z6II cameras. The choice of camera does not seem to have a bearing on when a failure occurs. When I begin an import the card appears to be read OK, and generates the image thumbnails in the import window. I then set my destination folder, create my keywords, and press IMPORT. I then get an Import Results pop-up window stating; "Some import operations were not performed" - Could not copy a file to the destination folder because it is not writable or there is not enough free space (xx - numb
After importing images and when I go to the Develop module it onlt shows changes to the Preview image not the main image on screen. Using Lightroom Classic CC v7.5
This problem is driving me crazy. I rate portraits with stars on my camera (Canon R6). The stars appear on the camera display, but when I import the photos into Lightroom, the stars disappear.I've already checked the box in the Metadata section. I've also unchecked it, but the stars seem to no longer be imported. I'm not sure if it could be an update. It worked perfectly before, and I didn't change anything.I'm using a memory card reader. I would really appreciate it in advance if anyone could help me.
In my LrC catalogue I have my images organized in a logical hierarchy consisting of a root collection, collections, sub-collections, sub-sub-collections and albums, e.g.:AlbumAlbum > Year 1990...Album > Year 2022Album > Year 2022 > Travel to PeruAlbum > Year 2022 > Travel to Peru > Location 1Album > Year 2022 > Travel to Peru > Location 2Album > Year 2022 > Travel to Peru > Location 3Album > Year 2023Album > Year 2024 Only Location 1, Location 2 and Location 3 are actual albums. Album is my root collection. The years (e.g. Year 2022) are sub-collections in the root collection, and Travel to Peru is a sub-sub-collection in the sub-collection Year 2022. This is a logical collection structure inside my LrC catalogue and not the same as the physical folder structure on my computer. I know that the migration will convert collections into folders and albums into albums - but does the migration understand and migrate this 4-tier-hierarchy
I would like to export my edited RAW images to jpg files while keeping the date and time that they were taken.I recently switched to a windows computer, I never had this problem before whilst using a macbook. Are there any settings that I should change so the date of the jpg isn't the date that I exported the image?
But other upgraded catalogues can. Plus I can create a new catalogue and access the images perfectly happily. All the files are on the same hard drive in the same location they have been forever. If I try and see the original file I get this:Then when I try to loacate the files I get this. This is my main catalogue with 71,000 images in - It was working fine with previous versions of Lightroom Classic until I updated the app. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
Hi, Is it possible to rename files by inserting in the file name the name of the people present in the photo identified via facial recognition?Thank you
Hi guys, If I apply a preset in lightroom and make my adjustments, and then right click and edit in photoshop all worked great. I saved the image and the edited copy shows up in lightroom like normal.I haven't changed any settings, but now once I save the image in photoshop, the copy shows up in lightroom BUT it is re-applying the same preset again over the photoshop edited image? I have checked the lightroom import settings just incase, and have reset Photoshop preferences. It doesn't make a difference how I save and exit photoshop, the same thing happens. Is there a setting I have missed? Lightroom Classic v13.4Photoshop v25.11.0
See: https://community.adobe.com/t5/camera-raw-ideas/camera-raw-tone-curve-as-local-adjustment/idi-p/12221231 Local adjustments in Camera Raw now feature Tone Curves as one of the settings. If you want to try out the Tone Cover as a Local Adjustment check out the latest updates from Camera Raw.
For whatever reason attempting to Ai Denoise in PS or importing a lot of files to LrC makes the software crash. The computer itself stays running. If i relaunch LrC it appears to have imported *some* files but not many. All drivers are up to date. Windows is up to date. Full Adobe suite is up to date. I've even attempted uninstalling and reinstalling PS. System is an i9 14900k, 192gb ddr5, asus 4090. Crash logs submitted when it allows me to. Sometimes it crashes without a prompt for submission.
Hello. I updated to LR 12 classic this morning. After it converted my catalog, it crashed stating that the catalog was corrupt. It then repaired it. It then crashed again, stating that the catalog was corrupt. The first corrupt catalog is 1.6GB. The second is 1.2GB. It then repaired it again. This final catalog is 300MB and contains zero history. The photos are in their last edited state, but I can not go back to previous steps nor copy settings to another file.
Since upgrading to Lightroom Classic 13.3, the performance has become extremely slow. Various operations have become very slow; for example, it takes about a minute to move to the Develop module or to move between images in the Develop module. There were no issues when using Lightroom Classic 13.2. Is there anyone else experiencing a similar issue? I have about 200,000 images in my catalog, so that might be one of the reasons, but since it was working fine with version 13.2, I suspect that there might be some degradation associated with upgrading to 13.3.
