Hello all...I recently upgraded from Sony A7rii to A7riv.  I'm trying to import into LR Classic (v6.14). I tried importing directly from my SD card.  Message: "files cannot be opened by Lightroom."I imported to Sony's Imaging Edge Desktop (IEDT), then exported ARWs onto external drive.  Tried importing into LR from this external drive.  Same message.I have not tried importing directly from my A7riv into Lightroom.   Should I?Thanks for advice everyone. Rob 

I am on LR Classic 2024 1. Is there some way to change the names of every preset, and have them display with the new names within the Preset Panel? I changed the names of the preset files on my computer, though it does not seem to affect how it displays within the program. I do know what to have to rename each infdividual preset file within Lightroom. 2.  Sometimes I want to click on a preset to see how it will look and then I want to try a different look. When selecting a preset, do you need to undo it before adding a different preset OR does Lightroom automatically remove the effects from the prior preset before adding the new one? Thank you  

Hi, I am working with the Lightroom Classic application (v.13.2) on my MacBook (macOS 14.4.1). When copying photos (by Lightroom Classic) from the SD card from my camera to the destination folder in iCloud, all the disk space on my MacBook was taken up. Why?For example - I copied 400 photos (by Lightroom Classic) from my SD card to iCloud yesterday and finally my photos were in iCloud, but the whole copying process took about 3 hours and took up all the disk space on my Mac!!!Next I tried copying the same 400 photos from the SD card directly to the same folder in iCloud as before (excluding Lightroom Classic) and the process took about 4 minutes without using my MacBook's drive!Should I change the configuration in Lightroom Classic to skip the MacBook drive when copying from SD card to iCloud? What should I do so that copying photos using LC to iCloud doesn't take up all the free space on my MacBook?Jacek 

I've been editing some engagement photos off and on this past month. I was having zero issues making edits, using masks with lots of updates. I had to take a break for about two weeks and when I went back to doing the same thing I was doing before it was almost unusable. I would go to add/subtract from a mask and when I was done it would beachball for a few seconds then render. I would start again and it wouldn't even recognize that I had started again so I would have to wait again for several seconds and try again hoping it would work. I've made sure LRC and Camera raw were up to date. I updated my OS to the latest version. I moved some content to an external to free up hard drive space. I updated the driver for my Wacom Intuos S. I increased the camera raw cache from 5 to 10GB and turned off "generate previews in parallel" as suggested by a post somewhere else. It still does the same thing. So I figure I would try here since I haven't seen anyone posting with a mac with an

When I am in the Basic Panel I notice that under "Profile" the only thing that shows up is "Color".  When I hit the browse button nothing comes up.  I seem to remember that I usually had "Adobe Color" as my profile and when I hit the browse button I got a number of presets to select from.  How can I get back to that situation?

I create a folder to store photos for editing in Lightroom Classic, the folder is added and after editing the phottos, this folder is no longer visible in Lightroom and I only see a folder with the data the phots were taken, but the original folder is still in my local disk.

Hi All So I had an issue with My Mac mini which meant the SSD had to be errased and a new OS installed at the Apple store. Now my Mac Mini (Intel) is running Sonoma 14.5. Running LR Classic 13.3 I have it back now and all is running well. I was advised to do a clean install and it felt like a good time to have a bit of a reoganisation anyway.  So I have restored 30,000 RAW files from my Time Machine backup, but none of the files have any edits applied. Looking at my old TM backup I can see various LR files for the correct date.  Which (if any) will get my RAW files back the way they were?   LR Catalog 2-3v13 lrcat LR Catalog 2-3v13 Helper.lrdata LR Catalog 2-3v13 Previews.lrdata   There is also a folder called Backups.    Many thanks.   [Moved to Lightroom Classic forum by moderator]

Synchronization errors occur after installing Lightroom Classic 13.3. Pictures are no longer synchronized or have errors. There are already numerous articles about this on the Internet. Dear Adobe team, please fix this as quickly as possible, this is very annoying

Hi All, any ideas why my lr classic update fails? Trying to update from 13.1 in creative cloud to 13.2 but update fails. PS updateds properly. It has been like this for a week or 2 now.. On MacOS 14.4thanks

So I have files where a remove/Heal element occurs on top of a masked area. In version 13.2 the thing removed/healed properly disappeared in areas affected by masks - eg. reducing the exposure. In this example, a dark mark on the background is removed by the Heal tool but when the background is made darker using a "Background" mask with exposure reduced, it removes the mark but also introduces a light area in its place which can't easily be removed by other masks. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Tried LR 13.0 update today and totally unuseable.  Kept crashing LR.  Simple actions like scrolling or zooming in caused the program to shut down.  Kept trying for about 45 minutes and sometimes it would work for 5 min or so and then a simple mouse click would cause it to shut down the app.  No pattern, i.e. while zooming caused one shut down, later zooming did not but scrolling did, later neither zooming or scrolling did but simply clicking on an image did.  Very frustrating Had to roll back to previous version.  

The before and after of raw photos is not correct.the before of most of the photos i took in raw has a yellow predominance, very warm, even though at the time of shooting the WB had been set correctly. i use sony a7IV and edit with Macbook pro m1 max . i have already restored lightroom to factory settings or reinstalled the program, but i have not solved the problem. can anyone help me?

Since updating to the new version of Lightroom, 13.3, i was forced to update my catalog. Which btw is large.So after spending 2 nights a few weeks ago having to resync my entire catalog with Adobe due to an unspecified error in syncing, tonight I come on to find 8,028 images stuck in error sync mode.  When i reached out to Adobe support i was 'hung up on' after having more than 40 minutes wasted each time by the support agents when they realized they probably couldn't figure this out. The website version of LR says the system has to open the images on Lillith, my OLD laptop. But opening lightroom on my laptop i have now shows no issues with syncing etc? I am so confused and frankly, annoyed about how Adobe support handled me.

Hello, I have a huge problem with a light room after reinstalling. To all pictures LR automatically applies a preset. By default its adobe color.  Edit on PC/ File on Mac; Preferences; Preset; Global and you were able to set to a camera settings. What it does is apply any presets to your photos. This is the way I always edited my pictures. The settings are still there, but it doesn't do what it is supposed to. Even with these settings on, LR applies very poor brown colors with a terrible HL and destroys all beautiful work that was done at the set. Does anyone has a solution for it? Thank you very much!

Hello everyoneMy Lightroom classic edit icon showing without changing anything. Any one khown how to fix it.My step is just click on that photo without edit something the the edit icon +/- will showing. I would like it to shown when i edit somthing like whitebalace or exposure .

 I have problems exporting JPEGs in LightRoom Classic release 13.3 on a MacMini with the M2 chip and 16 GB of memory. The operating system is Sonoma 14.5 I initiailly tried to export 62 photos from a collection as JPEG files. Three photos exported (not the first three and not in sequence) and then there was no progress. after a half hour I stopped the process and tried to export just one of the images and got the same result. I have uninstalled and reinstalled LRC. And I have disabled the GPU.   Another problem has developed, when I select the people view from the Library menu it jumps to a screen that says loading, but then nothing happens. Any suggestions?

It seem like the middlepart of Lightroom is to big so the left side is to narrow I can't see some things in the left panel. I have Windows 11 and latest LRC. Regards Micke

hey, I am struggling witth Lightroom panel size. How can I make it smaller? (Dragging to corners does not help). 

[I've completely rewritten this bug report -- I originally thought it was a difference between Windows 10 and 11.][12/22/2023: I've updated this bug report to include viewFactor:checkbox() and clarify the scaling settings.] On Windows 10 or 11, when Preferences > User Interface > Font Size is set to Large (150%) or larger, the "width" property doesn't work for viewFactory:popup_menu() or viewFactory:checkbox(), making it hard for plugins to align controls. LR is forgetting to scale the width of the two controls, whereas it does it correctly for the other LrView controls.  (Users often find it necessary to set scaling on high-resolution displays.) To reproduce, set Font Size to Large (150%).  Then run the script below.  Here are the results with Font Size set to "medium" and then Large (150%):   With scaling set to 150%, the popup menus and checkbox with the "width" property are too small. I have a hardware calibrated monitor, with two custom buttons to change calibration profile, both calibrated by me : one in sRGB colorspace and one in Native colorspace. I have already verified that when I switch from sRGB to Native profile on the monitor and vice versa, also in Windows the corresponding profile is loaded correctly.  I do the editing with the monitor in Native.  To check how the image looks on "a generic sRGB monitor" (I know I can't control where people look at my photos, but I still like to have with an idea of how it look in sRGB), I have two options:  1. Use LrC's soft proofing functionality, using for the target photo the sRGB profile generated when I calibrated the monitor.  2. Simply set monitor to sRGB.custom profile.  I noticed that with option 1 the difference between Native and sRGB (which in this case are side by side, with LrC simulating sRGB for the target photo) is limited: if there are large areas of red

What are the Smart Collections in LR Classic put there by Adobe such as 'No Keywords"  with all of my photos in there? I did not create that collection. Can I delete without losing my photos? There are other ones as well with less images. Would like to delete them as well.

In LR development module, I suddenly get very blurry images, no matter what extension (see screenshot attached).  In library module the pictures are still okay.  Has anyone encountered this problem before? Kind regards,Helena
