I have a message of and error of the modules when I open any catalog, Many technicians of Adobe had try to solve the problem by delete and reinstall the software and nothing is working, only when one of them install the version 13. All my recent work is on the new version so I can't use my catalogs.
Looks like I finally have to leave Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 running on Mac Mojave and go ahead with a perpetual monthly subscription to Lightroom Classic (Dropbox just quit supporting Mojave):1. Am I correct in that this would be the app that replaces the editing and organizing features of Lightroom 5 with its catalog method?2. Can I store the photos and catalogs on a hard drive or on Dropbox? (Or do I have to use Adobe's web server.)3. Will my Lightroom 5 catalogs transfer over? Note: I'll probably not transfer over everything but start new catalogs in Lightroom Classic. However, eventually I'll want to update the platform for the old photos. Thanks
I’ve been using Lightroom since version 1.0, and I’ve never had to fight this hard just to get my files into the app. This issue has persisted for months and is now actively disrupting client work.Setup DetailsCamera: Nikon Z8 (RAW only)macOS: Sequoia 15.6.1Lightroom Classic: 14.5.1Import Method: “Copy” via USB-C direct from cameraSecurity Settings: Full Disk Access enabledGPU Acceleration: Disabled❌ The Problem Lightroom crashes instantly when I attempt to import images directly from the Z8. The crash occurs before I can even select files. The camera doesn’t mount properly in Finder, and I have to physically disconnect the cable to eject it. Once I manually transfer the RAW files to my drive, Lightroom handles them perfectly. So the issue is clearly tied to the import handshake—not the files themselves.Troubleshooting I’ve Already TriedDisabled GPU accelerationReset Lightroom preferencesCreated a new catalogTried importing with minimal previewsVerified camera firmware and macOS
Avez vous trouvé une solution à ce problème ?merci d'avance de vos réponses Transitions are still not that... When I select a sky in a landscape, I often have to subtract the vegetation (trees) and then it gets bad. I have a white border around the treetops that is difficult to select. If I push the highlight or haze correction slider a little to the left, it gives a not very pretty effect on this border. Have you found a solution to this problem?thank you in advance for your answers
*Solved- Resetting preferences and deleteing all previews seems to have cured the issue.Looking for some help here. For the last few days, when I open LRc no folders or folder structure appears in my Library Navigation Pane, only a filter folders box is there. (see photo)I can go to catalog>all photos and everything is there, but under folders it's completely blank. I can go to Collections and all is normal and working there. Eventually it (slowly) fixes itself and repopulates the folder structure, but something is very wrong. When folders are missing, if I try to right click a photo I get no dialog box, no way to chose "show folder in Library". I have Windows 11 and Nvidia 4080, everything current and up to date including GPU driver. All other functions on my PC are perfect and Photoshop is functioning perfectly. Also today my LR crashed during a large export, which has NEVER happened before. I don't know if I should reset LR preferences or reinstall LR? Or is it maybe a corrupt ca
After lightroom classic has started any menu that I click on freezes Lightrrom completely. Has anyone any idea how to fix this please?
Updated to macOS Tahoe 26.0.1. today and LR Classic will not play 4K videos even in Library mode - it grinds to a halt as soon as 'play' is pressed. Looking at Acitivity Monitor it shows VTDecoderXPCService taking up 2-300% of CPU resources. Play appears to continue in the background without moving the display and when it has finished the VT... file clears. Before this the laptop would play OK in Library mode but not really in Develop. LRC version 14.5.1 running on MacBook Air M2 with 8GB. Any fixes out there please or should I roll back the OS for now? Thanks in advance.Simon
I wanted to export my images for my client but when previewing them, I noticed the color of the woman's dress is off from the proof in Develop. I haven't had issues in the past on any session before this one. Color space SRGB. Please give guidance. I have updated Lightroom after this screenshot and it is same issue.
I have just installed LRC desktop from within my new creative cloud subscription. I want LRC to use (migrate?) my Lightroom 6.14 catalog, but before I can look for the migrate option as suggested in some help searches I am being prompted to upgrade the LRC catalog or choose another catalog? Not sure what to do and I am paranoid I will destroy my current Lightroom 6.14 catalog before it gets input to and then the default catalog for my new LRC desktop?
Hi community Has anyone come across the issue when uploading a book from Lightroom Classic to blurb where it immediately fails when trying to upload? It goes through all of the 'rendering pages' steps, but fails immediately when it starts to upload the cover. It produces a very generic programming language error: An internal error has occurred?:0: attempt to perform arithmetic on filed 'chunk_size' (a nil value) I've seen 'workarounds' exporting to PDF and then sending to Blurb, but it's not really a workaround but rather simply not using the integrated upload feature. Uploading the PDF to Blurb seems to work okay, even if it does complain that the page size is slightly different (which it is able to auto-correct during the web upload process) Lightroom version: 11.4.1Mac OS: Big Sur 11.6.8 ThanksMichael
Sorry for the lengthy post, but it has to do with the LensTagger plugin for Lightroom. For several years, I've been successfully using this to edit EXIF data for manual focus or legacy lenses adapted to a non-OEM camera (e.g., Leica M lenses on Hasselblad or Sony cameras). The plugin uses exiftool and is not exactly robust, but if you set up the path for exiftool correctly and use the plugin's workflow as designed, it works. After I installed LR Classic 14.5.1, LensTagger stopped working. I endlessly get Error 256 or 512 or some other codes once in a while that I don't understand. About the only thing I can think of is, this plugin uses the /tmp folder to write/read some files, and it looks like there is some issue with the LensTagger plugin logic under macOS sandbox / integration and permissions. (My macOS is Sonoma version 14.6.1.) I've given both Lightroom and exiftool Full Disk Access on my MacBook, but that has not helped. If anyone else has experience with this issue or if the Ad
Hi - hopefully somebody here can help. I use Lightroom Classic on a desktop and have over 200,000 photos in the library. I've used this for over 10 years and it has performed well through multiple upgrades. I am transitioning to an iPhone from my SLR and trying to set up Lightroom correctly. My first problem was that my 20 GB allowance on the cloud was exceeded, so synching wasn't happening between the iPhone, iPad and Desktop. Right or wrong, I went into the 'All synced photosk folder and deleted all those photos. The way I understand it, this does not delete the originals, and I backed up all the synced photos before deleting anyway - just in case. I now have the desktop where I want it, with zero synced photos and the cloud has 20 gig available. What I want to do is when I go on a photo shoot or vacation I want to sync just those photos with the cloud, process them in the field on my iPad and when I get back, sync them with the desktop and clear o
I just upgraded to LRc 14.5.1. I had 2000+ photos in All Photos. Now I only have 335 photos. What happened? What can I do? All my photos appear to be intact on an external hard drive. Also intact on a backup external hard drive. Using Mac OS Tahoe 26.0.1. What can I do to return the photos to LRc?
I'm at a loss here and cannot find an answer anywhere. I just bought an external hard drive for my photos. I've fairly new to lightroom and have been figuring things out as I go. I am stuck on the importing process, I cannot seem to get it down. I plug my memory card into my Mac and I copy/move photos to my external hard drive first. Just drag and drop. Then I open LRC, click import, choose my photos on my external hard drive and click "add" at the top and then import. They show up in LRC under my external hard drive, I create my collections and collection sets and organize how I like. Where I get stuck is when I eject my external drive, LRC can no longer find the original files and gives me that little exclaimation point in the top right corner of the photos. I understand that it cannot find them because the external drive is no longer connected... but how do I go about this? I've tried googling this problem in all sorts of questions and I am so frustrated. How do photographers n
I have been experiencing a problem with the brush in Lightroom Classic 14.5.1 on my MacBook Pro running MacOS 15.6.1. When selecting to create a new mask, using the brush tool I used to see the cursor showing the size/shape of the brush straight away. Just recently I noticed this behaviour change and the cursor reverted to the arrow as soon as I moved it. It would only go back to the brush shape after clicking in the photo. Adobe took over my computer and seemed to solve the problem, but as soon as the remote session ended the problem returned. I have since discovered that this unusual brush behaviour only happens when I am in HDR mode. As soon as I revert to SDR mode the brush behaviour normalises. I just started using Lightroom after using Gimp for a long time and I am not finding it intuitive at all. Yes, I can theoretically drag and drop in a single image I want to work on but then the import dialogue loads in a very laggy way because its trying to load all the thumbnails of every single photo in the folder unnecessarily, and then when I click import, it takes about 20s for the single picture to show up. The drag and drop function is instantaneous on every single application I've ever used. What gives? For context, I have tens of thousands of photos so it's not really worth the hassle to me to import everything into the Lightroom Catalogue. I just want to import what I've decided to edit. Is there an easier/ faster way to do this?
Lightroom seems to be stuck in Grid/Loupe/Compare/Survey/Slideshow. Pressing Esc or Tab doesn't bring back the sidebars. When I relaunch LR, the Develop setting preset panel shows momentarily down the LHS and then it goes to this which I can't seem to get out of. Have I pressed a shortcut key inadvertantly?? Help please!
The following has been tested on both Windows11 24H2 and macOS 26's latest LrC build(14.5.1), and also for both external and internal drive to store the catalog. My catalog is somehow big, 60GB, but not too big. I find that LrC keeps failing for backing up the catalog. After a track, I find that it successfully copied the catalog. But when zipping the catalog, it will fail and says that it may be disk space or permission issue. But I tracked that at the time it fails, there's still plenty free disk space, and right before error, the partial zip file created has a size of just slightly smaller than the unzipped files, meaning that zipping seems to just to be succeeded but somehow runs into an error. So currently I have to fall back to manually copying and zipping backups, but not let LrC one-click do this.Because catalog optimization happens after a successful backup if not manually triggered, I have to manually issue catalog optimization. And it was when I find another bug. Unlike an er
Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 crashes when I try to open videos. This was not previously an issue. Upgraded my Mac to Sequoia 15.1 to see if it would help, but still having the same problem.
The Cameras supported by Camera Raw page incorrectly lists the OM Digital Solutions OM-5 Mark II as unsupported in LR Classic: But in fact, support appeared in LR 14.5. You can verify with this sample raw from dpreview.com:https://www.dpreview.com/sample-galleries/7014780791/om-system-om-5-ii-pre-production-sample-gallery/5974454125 I haven't tested LR Cloud.
I have a MacBook Pro and use LrC v 14.5.1. My photos are stored on an external HD.What happened: The first thing I noticed that in the Library module my entire folder heirarchy was no longer showing. I didn't have a folder name that was grayed out with a "?", they just weren't there. So I went to my xHD and while trying to figure things out, I wrongly changed a primary folder for my photos further messing up the association of folders/photos with LrC in the Library Module. I have been trying to re-associate the folders and photos by searching for missing photos and then finding the location of individual photos. This causes some of my folders to appear. When I available as an option, I synchronize a folder to bring more photos in.Questions: 1) Why weren't my folders showing in the first place?; 2) Why aren't my folders showing grayed out with ? marks?; 3) Today when I first opened LrC my folders were showing and then when I tried to do the link
Mac OS Sequoia 15.6.1PureRaw 5.3.1Camera OM-5 MarkIILightroom Classic 14.5.1, Camera Raw 17.5I’m using Lightroom Plug-in Extras to transfer a file to PureRaw for processing and then the DNG is exported back to Lightroom. The original ORF file has the profile – Adobe Color. When the DNG is automatically imported back into Lightroom the profile has changed to Adobe Standard and there is a message: !Profile missing. The profile browser only has four options: Adaptive Color, Adaptive B&W, Color and Monochrome. It is missing all of the Adobe and Camera matching choices usually available. In the lefthand panel under Presets, the preset I had used to import the original ORF file is now greyed out and in italics. At the beginning of September, I was using my Olympus OMD em5 mark III together with PureRaw 5 and did not have this problem. All of the profiles were available for my camera after the DNG was imported. Then 2 weeks ago I upgraded to an OM-5 MarkII and
