Questions

I use Lightroom cloud.  I also shoot lots of video.  I want to keep everything off my internal harddrive and also have the rumoured better Lightroom processing from working from a faster SSD. There are soo many confusing instructions regarding the use of lightroom and SSD, especially because of the confusion in lightroom names.  A lot of the threads that boast increased Lighroom editing speeds are dealing with the desktop Lightroom Classic.  (1)  Will there be an increased processing/editing speed in Lightroom (cloud version) if I use an SSD to store the files or the catalogue (edits)?(2)  I've seen some threads recommend storing both the files AND the catalogue to the SSD and then some threads recommend ONLY moving the catalogue to the SSD.  Which should I be doing?(3) How do I do this transfer?  Do I need to change any settings? 

I have recently installed the latest version of lightroom, and man do i wish i didnt.My denoise feature no longer works and everything in general is slow and buggy. Its not an issue with my computer as i have just purchased a new one.  Has anyone else had any issues.  Thank you in advance,

Whenever I import images into LR, they show up in reverse order. So if I want to rename them when I export, they end up in reverse order in the destination folder, which is annoying for example when dealing with images from an event. Also, when I am working on a timelapse and would like to use the export to also fix any numbering issues, this creates a problem. I end up having to reverse the direction of the video to have it turn out right in the end. Is there a way to just import in the correct order?

Hi...sorry if this is a rookie question.  But, I am not able to re-order images in a local folder in Lightoom.  I'm guessing this is something simple but can't seem to find it.  Any guidance would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Can someone explain the reason why Lightroom Camera on an Android mobile accepts only six images clicks, so I have to keep restarting the camera all the time?

I am using the newer version of lightroom but as i am editing pictures it keeps freezing. 

Can anyone please help to edit a picture? I need the dark shadow on her face to be gone. I would like to see her face natural without any dark spot or shadows on her face. Thank yall for your help. God bless  

Until a few months back, I was able to simply select any photo from any album in the app and share-download or share-export to get it on my device, and forward it with eg whatsapp. Then, I started getting the "couldn't complete export" error on every attempt. See screenshot. I let go and assumed the bug would be fixed and the problem would go away by itself... not so... Pls help Note -this happens with every photo, not just a few-clearing the cache does not help-reinstalling the app does not help-yes, the device has ample storage and is up to date-I presume storage permission is ok, as there is no toggle, and no way to check whether it is switched on   Seems people have ben having this issue since at least 2018?? I already posted this a few months back, Adobe support jumped in, but then the line went dead 😞  

I am currently running Lightroom (subscription) on an iMac with macOS Sequoia 15.2; Lr and OS are up to date. Lr fails to respond when trying to open and I get the hypnotic spinning color wheel. Eventually I have to force quit. Restarting the computer, even disconnecting it from power before restarting helps inconsistently. The same issue occurs with Creative Cloud and I have to go to the uninstall-repair and repair the app before it will open. Once the Creative Cloud app is repaired it will open and Lr can be opened from the shortcut in Creative Cloud. Any clues as to what the issue is with Lr not playing nicely with the macOS? I'm reluctant to uninstall & reinstall both Creative Cloud and Lr as I understood Lr can be opened without opening the Creative Cloud desktop app as long as I've logged into my account once every 30 days. Help?

I like to create a mask around the subject of my photo; when I do, I select the item, and then it creates an area around it; however, Adobe Lightroom is awful, and I have to spend hours on photos with the little brush to make it go around the edges of the subject. For some reason, it is terrible at edge detection, and I am spending hours on end trying to separate my subject from the back as I change the colors of the background/lighting. Any help? Thank you!

I have a bunch of images I need to rotate 90 degrees, can I do them all at once?

Buenas tardes, Uso generalmente la versión de la app en una tablet pero para poder exportar las fotos lo suelo hacer desde la versión web pero no logro saber como se le puede poner la marca de agua. Desde la app no hay problema pero desde la versión web no lo encuentro en ningún sitio.¿Alguien sabe como se hace o si no se puede hacer? Muchas gracias de antemano

Just had to get a replacement Samsung Galaxy 21 ultra because there was an error on my old one. Transferred everything over with no issues. But when I went into my Lightroom app, all my custom presets were GONE!!! I need those for my business! I tried to use a previously edited photo, that used my go-to custom preset, and save it as a new preset, but it didn't seem to change anything on a new random photo.  Help?!?! If you know a way to get/find/save my preset information from photos I'd already edited and are saved on the app, please share?? Just be sure to make instructions simple and straight forward, as I'm not very good with technical stuff. Makes losing my perfect preset even harder.

In my local computer ( Laptop ) i have set multiple folders with different naming as ALBUM . I need to upload all these - the way i have in my local computer - to Lightroom Cloud. so that i can all the folders-subfolders-photo in my "cloud" too. Is this possible or how is there any workaround to make this possible.  KINDLY check the screenshot . I have Adobe Lightroom version 8.1 working in Mac Sonoma 14.5 . Why is it that when I export an image from lightroom mobile it can be a relatively large (10-25mb) file, but if I add a border it's around 1mb or less for the same exact file? why can I not export a photo with a border and have it remain the same file size? additionally, there is no option in my lightroom on desktop to add a border. I have seen online options for a stroke border or developer settings, but these do not exist in my lightroom and do not show up in searches? 

When editing a photo in lightroom, switching between Edit Mode and Mask Mode the image very visibily changes. Color profile completely changes, making me unclear about what part of the editing process i am currently in and Removes the trust I have in the exported file. I have a screen recording of this, but considering the size limitations on uploading a file here, i cannot supply this video.

Hi, I recently got myself an Ipad Pro and am trying to set-up a proper workflow for my lightroom classic to the lightroom app. I have enable the sync functions, which makes me have control in the app over my already edited photo's from Lightroom Classic. I understand that when I open these photo's in the app these will show as Smart-Previews. But I would like to edit on Originals if possible. I also would like to export higher quality of files and not exports based on smart previews. I was wondering if it is possible, when I connect my SSD with the stored RAW files to the ipad, for the lightroom app to now show the Originals. I would like to acces all my previous and new edits in Original quality on the Ipad while also being able to export these images to the highest quality / original quality on the ipad. Hopefully my question is clear, Thank you 🙂

HiI  have Lightroom plan with 1TB storage for which I pay £9.98 a month, I'm in the UK.  I use exclusively an iPad and iPhone no desktop or laptop.Forgive my somewhat Luddite ignorance but my understanding is that the original full resolution photo is kept in the cloud and a lower resolution version is stored on the device.  Changes are made to the lower version and sent to the cloud where the the same changes are made to the full resolution version.  I get all that.  I think.Im a retired photographer and as I get on in years I'm troubled that I don't have an original full version of these pictures in my physical possession.  The process of downloading to my iPad or iPhone seems laborious and time consuming.  If I go to an album select>share>export I can only send about 20mg of pictures to the device.  With 8000 photos I'll probably be dead before I finish which defeats the reason for doing it.I conceded being uninterested in computers is w

I just upgraded to the free trial for Lightroom IPad. They premium tools are grayed out. I have signed in and out of the app, restarted my iPad and still do not have access to premium tools as they remain grayed out. It shows that I am subscribed and I am using the same email as here to sign in. Please help this is very very frustrating !

Hi everyone! I am new to lightroom and trying to add/download new presets. In the header of the program, it used to be options for library, develop, map, book, slideshow, print and web, but it´s all gone and I can't find a way to get it back. Anyone who knows how to get it back as I understand you need to press develop in order to add the new presets? Thank you in advance, Sincerely, Ida
