I'm looking for someone with advanced Adobe Photoshop experience who may be able to help recover or diagnose a very important PSB file.The file is stored on an external hard drive and opened without any issues yesterday. Today, however, it refuses to open and Photoshop displays the following error:"Could not open '[filename].psb' because of a program error."There have been no Photoshop updates or macOS updates since the file was last opened successfully. As far as I'm aware, nothing changed between yesterday and today.The file is extremely important, and I'm hoping to determine whether the issue is with the PSB file itself, Photoshop, or the external drive. Ideally, I'd like to recover the document with all layers and edits intact.If you have experience diagnosing or recovering Photoshop PSB files, or have successfully resolved this specific "program error" before, I would be very grateful for your assistance.

I was wondering how everyone approaches this.When you're sharing a packaging design with a client for the first time, do you usually show the flat artwork or a realistic mockup? I can see benefits to both, so I'm curious what works best for you and why?

I'm selecting an area of an image in a project with the rectangle marquee tool, I click edit and CUT is not a highlighted option.  I want to remove a piece of the jpeg image.

How to remove or disable color profiles not related to printing (Photoshop)? Like those etc.

My remove tool stays like this and never does what it is supposed to do. Lightroom Classic doesn’t has this issue. Then, after a long wait it ends with this error message.Yes, I have an internet connection. Lightroom Classic works well. Takes some time, but it works.Feels like I pay too much for these tools… They either don’t work properly or are SLOW as hell (both the interface and the cloud services).

When I open Photoshop (Version 27.7) , the Adjustments panel disappears from my workspace’s docked panels. Also, when I try to open the panel from Window > Adjustments, nothing happens. The panel does not open, and no check mark appears next to Adjustments in the Window menu to indicate that it is active. The Adjustments panel reappears when I reset the Essentials Workspace, but the Adjustment Panel disappears again after I close and reopen Photoshop. Currently, the only way to restore the Adjustments panel is to reset the Essentials Workspace each and every time I launch Photoshop. This is not a great workaround because it requires re-customization of my workspace every time I open Photoshop. Could someone please help me resolve this issue? 

There was a problem with our network over the last couple of days and when we got back up running, all of my creative suite workspaces have completely disappeared. Is there any way to get them back? In particular, Illustrator - I have a rather specific setup I use for certain tasks, made specifically for my multiple monitor set up, and I really don’t want to waste precious time redoing my workspace just because there’s a glitch in the network.

I need to move some of my text layers on an invitation to add one in between them. When I do move a layer, or turn off it’s visibility, it leaves behind a white cutout in the original position.See here where I’ve moved the black text up.

Hi everybody, I have a very big file which I can’t open in PS because the scratch disc is full. The size is 6800 x 4900px. The advice I have found online suggests creating 100GB of space. I have roughly 25GB on my Mac which only has 251GB in total. Is there a way of working out how much space you would need to open and work on a particular file rather than creating 100GB of space if that’s not necessary for that particular file. My file is very big at 6800 x 4900px but it’s only 4 layers. Does anybody have any ideas?Thanks,Gareth

Hi everyone,After installing the latest Photoshop update, the application has become extremely slow. Opening PSD files, switching layers, using the Brush tool, applying filters, and saving files all take much longer than before.I've already tried:Resetting Photoshop preferences Clearing the cache Updating GPU drivers Enabling GPU acceleration Increasing RAM allocation Disabling pluginsUnfortunately, nothing has improved. My PC meets the recommended system requirements, and other Adobe apps work normally.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Hello, sometimes I get a weird bug where I can't Paste a copied image into an active canvas in photoshop. To fix the problem I have to jump through some specific hoops (hoping this is helpful to you guys for fixing the bug, too)The problem:Sometimes when I Right click (in my browser for example) > Copy image > Paste into my acvtive photoshop canvas > The previous/wrong/cached file from the clipboard is pasted in. No matter if i use Ctrl+V or Edit > Paste, same result. The solution:I have to goto File > New (note this is actually the wrong canvas size, it should be the copied file dimensions like it normally is) > Create > Paste now works > Close this new file > Paste again in my canvas and NOW it does work.It's bizarre. Note this doesn't always happen. Maybe 50% of the time only. I'm on windows 10, and I keep my photoshop up to date (subscription)Any help is much appreciatedThanks

Hi everyone,I’m working on an animation in Photoshop 2026.When I go to File > Export > Render Video and click Render Video, the export window never appears.Appears a loading bar but it never ends. There is no error message or warning. Nothing happens, and I can’t access the export settings.I’ve already tried restarting Photoshop, but the issue persists.Has anyone else experienced this?I’m running Photoshop on rosetta and normal way and even not works.If I run Photoshop 2026 on Rosetta mode, I can’t create Video empty layer too...I have to use Photoshop 2021 to work and it’s confusing but in this version all works.Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

How can I remove the grey background so can print on a black shirt

Updated photoshop to 27.8 and the banding on gradients is really bad, PS27.7 was absolutely fine.Attached is a screenshot of PS27.7 alongside PS27.8.You can see clearly the banding, this has only happened because of the update, not anything that I have done.Anyone else had this issue? As I can't seem to find a solution online.

This concerns Adobe CS5. Recently, Windows 10 had catostrophic crashes on both my desktop and notebook PCs; after which neither was operable to be able run my Adobe software and Deactivate my licenses on each machine. Up until the crashes, my CS5 software has always worked fine on both machines. I upgraded to Windows 11 on the desktop, and reinstalled Windows 10 on the notebook. After reinstalling CS5 on both machines, CS5 won’t work on either, telling me “Activation limit reached...”I called Adobe Support, but they refuse to reset the Activations, and I’m unable to do so when logged-in to my Adobe account. Adobe Support and their website states that “Activation servers for end-of-life software have been disabled.” But this is contradictory to the facts! If the servers are disabled, then why was I able to run CS5 on both computer under Windows 10 for all these years, including until recently? Something stinks. Photoshop 27.8.0's Remove tool leaks memory that isn't released between operations. On a 32GB system, opening three files via Lightroom and applying about four Remove passes drove RAM to full capacity and caused a complete system freeze, not just an app hang. The OS itself stopped responding, including Task Manager, and required a hard power off to recover. Afterward, GPU hardware acceleration was disabled in Photoshop's Performance preferences as a workaround, since the leak appears tied to GPU memory accumulating per Remove pass with no ceiling, meaning more installed RAM would only delay the crash rather than prevent it. Current testing with GPU acceleration off shows RAM around 20GB with two to three files open and no Remove passes yet, holding steady in a normal one gigabyte band rather than climbing, though a pre launch baseline reading is still needed to confirm whether 20GB is itself elevated or just the normal cost of having files open.

Applescript error: file ([filename]) doesn’t understand the “open” message." number -1708  This error is currently only happening within Adobe Photoshop. To be clear, most of these are scripts that have been running fine, some for years, until just recently. This only just started happening with a recent OS update to Mac OS Tahoe 26.5. (I have also posted this in Apple forums. Hi,I’d like to ask a question regarding Photoshop's 3D features:- When I have an EXR file open and click the 3-axis icon, a small window appears in the top-left corner of the monitor. However, when I change the view there—to "Top," for example—and click the "swap main and secondary view" icon, the main window displays only a checkerboard pattern (or pixelation) instead of the image corresponding to the view I selected.Could someone please tell me what I might be doing wrong?Many thanks.

I’m setting up a Photoshop layered file with a bulleted list. It will be easier for the other users if the text has the bulleted list style automatically applied, so I used the bullet style in the Paragraph panel. But is there any way to change the bullet color? Right now it’s the same color as the text, and I would like there to be a contrast.Drawing the shapes manually is not the best solution for a template that various people will have to use. Is there a hidden option somewhere that would allow me to change the color, as in InDesign?
