I am trying to continue work on something I was working on yesterday and when attempting to open the .PSD file, I am greeted by the error: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"I have had a look for any others whove experienced the same bug with little luck.Anything helps, Thanks. 

GPT says it’s connected to Adobe but I’m always getting the 403 - access forbidden. This is despite me being signed in to both Adobe and GPT. I’ve tried signing out and uninstalling on both but nothing works. I’m using Chrome for my Adobe, the GPT app for GPT. Is this a technical fault on Adobe’s side or is there something I’m doing incorrectly? 

A custom Action (created in the Actions panel) does not appear in the Action dropdown of the File > Automate > Batch dialog.Workaround to make it appear: open a document, select the Action in the Actions panel, then close the document — after that the Action shows up in Batch.However, when running Batch with this Action, Photoshop returns the error: "The command '[command name]' is not currently available" — i.e. Batch cannot find a command recorded inside the custom Action. The same Action runs without any issues when played manually from the Actions panel (Play).Steps to reproduce:Create a new Set and Action in the Actions panel, record several steps. Open File > Automate > Batch — the Action is missing from the dropdown. Open a document, select the Action in the Actions panel, close the document. Hi, after a recent Photoshop or macOS update, I noticed a problem with Save As on Mac.When I open a PSD file and use Save As, the filename field shows the current file name with the .psd extension. If I replace the whole filename with a new name, for example testname, and keep Format: Photoshop selected, Photoshop saves the file without the .psd extension.So the saved file is:testnameinstead of:testname.psdThis did not happen before. Hi I am a new user for the app 

Hello.  I've been attempting to use Photoshop CC to stack images.  I have a camera that can utilize focus bracketing. I recently tried to stack 99 focus bracketed images, with a very small focus differential, with horrible results in Photoshop CC.  The process was: 1) auto-align; 2) auto-blend; 3) flatten layers. Below is the result of my stacked image. The result should have been a sharp picture from front to back. What I got was gobs of blur everywhere. Wasn't expecting such poor results from Adobe. Please, if anyone has any useful input/advice, I'd be very grateful!

Generative Fill was working fine all this while and last week, but for past few days, it has been a slow process (taking more than 5mins to generate results) and sometimes, I'll get the error:"The service is not responding. Please check your internet and try again" a few times and sometimes the results appeared after 5mins or more. Any idea what's the cause here or solution? -Internet is running fine-Had tried reinstall/upgrade/downgrade PS but not much difference-Allowed firewall access for PS

I've just been messing with some new brush sets and a few hours ago every one of my brushes started acting strange. Instead of adding the same color I have color picked from the painting, it's creating some sort of blend mode(multiply?) layer on top of wherever there is already paint. If I insert a new layer on top, I can paint one stroke of paint down and it will look normal on top of the painting(with the exact selected color) until I add another stroke over that piece on that same new layer, which adds the darkened effect yet gain. Opacity is 100% for all brushes here, each layer is set at "normal." I've hardly touched brush settings aside from brush size. Is there any way to turn this brush effect off for all brushes?  I only just started using photoshop today coming from a much simpler program, Autodesk Sketchbook. It's very likely I bumped a key or something by accident and now I'm just stumped. Any help would be absolutely appreciated (: !

I am trying to get ahold of anyone by phone bc i am in the sun and cannot see my phone. I keep getting hung up on. Why is it so easy to see me sell me on new products but I cant manage my account with you guys? 

When done editing a jpg. It says “save as type” and defaults to a photoshop extension every time. other versions never did this. Very time consuming when you have 400 plus photos to do. Any help here? 

I'm running Ventura 13.7.8 (yes, I know, its nearly as old as me!)

Most of the file type options are missing from my save menu. I cannot save JPGs unless I choose the 'Save as a Copy command. If I choose 'Save', or 'Save As...' I only see options to save as PSD, PSB, IFF, JPF, PNG, TIFF. I've noticed that for some files, I only have PSD, PSB, and TIFF.  I have my project set to 8-bit, RGB Color.I use photoshop regularly and this problem just started yesterday. The problem persists with all new projects I create.   

I'm trying to open a .png file in Photoshop Elements 15 and I get the message: could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Hello Adobe Support,I’m experiencing a connection issue with Adobe for ChatGPT.The Adobe plugin itself is visible and recognized in ChatGPT, and the available Adobe tools can be detected. However, whenever I try to use any Adobe function, the connection fails before the tool can actually run.The error I receive is:McpServerError: MCP streamable transport probe failed with HTTP 403 from adobe.ioHTTP status:403 FORBIDDENEndpoint:https://photoshop-mcp-service.adobe.io/...I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:- Confirmed that I am signed in to the Creative Cloud desktop app- Disconnected and reconnected the Adobe plugin- Re-authenticated my Adobe account- Restarted ChatGPT / Codex- Explicitly invoked Adobe using @Adobe- Tested again while Creative Cloud was signed in- Confirmed that launching Premiere Pro does not change the resultThe behavior is always the same: ChatGPT can detect the Adobe plugin and its available tools, but the connection is rejected at the Adobe MCP

When ever I open Photoshop 2024 (very latest version) it crashes giving me Error code: 14002.Can't find it mentioned anywhere, anyone have any ideas? I've re installed it, but no go.

Every time I try to use the liquify tool on Photoshop for web it keeps showing grey boxes

I never had this issue until recently, I’d say 2026?The pictures look fine when i finish the edits in Lightroom/ Photoshop but when myself or the client go to print the pictures, they look off or yellowish. even when i post them on Facebook they have this yellow tint.I dont ever remember having to make changes on every picture that i chose to print (or post on social media). the picture with the red backround is the one that looks yellowish/ off color as you can seeMacbook Pro (M1)Photoshop Lightroom Canon R5

In the latest version of PS, when I copy and paste layers or content, PS seems to paste the content out of it’s original position instead of perfectly matching where it was copied from.Please fix this, it makes no sense to have it moved as default.

When trying to use Generative Upscale (Topaz Gigapixel) on an Adobe stock image that is (5000x2813) - 16.667”x9.377” 300 dpi - 40.2M, I am getting an message that “the output is too large, exceeds 56MP. Try a smaller scale or reduce the image size.” The problem is this image is for a 20’x10’ booth background. Any thoughts? 

Hello all,I am trying to select the red from the outline of a piece of text to then erase it, however it simply won't let me because the color range option is grayed out.I was using a layer mask to make a "fade-out" effect with the gradient tool, I found a Yahoo! Answers thread and the best answer was to go back to regular editing by right clicking on the masked layer, but the mask has already been merged with some layers so it's not there anymore. Even if there are no masks anymore the grayout won't go.This is really frustrating... if someone knows the answer don't hesitate to help me, I'd be grateful, thanks!

I have Photoshop 21.2.4 When I select the Elliptical Marquee tool the Path button does not show up. I'm trying to write text in a circle.  If I select the Pen tool the Path button shows up

the move tool changed to hand tool in the work space only. Cannot resize 

Remove tool was working great last week, I've come to use it today and it's extremely slow! It's taking ages to load on removing the littlest things on an image, for example a little bit of dust on a bottle. Please help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled adobe photoshop. Everything is up to date, Photoshop, MacBook. Now what do I do??
