says my 2026 version of PhotoShop is damaged

In Photoshop 27.5 on a Mac running 26.2 when I attempt to add canvas to a photo the dialog box contains an anchor box. This anchor no longer has the arrows in all of the boxes except the center which does contain a dot. How can I get the arrows back?The anchor box used to add canvas to a photo is missing the arrows. How do I get them back 

I’m converting jpegs to webps and Saving As into a new folder.Is there a way to have Photoshop simply close the originals without asking me about them?thanks

Remove Tool gives only either grey or black spot or says "could not complete your request because of a program error". I have set “More Stable” option and used “Reset tool” and closed program and installed it again. Nothing works.

Whenever I try to open a video file in Photoshop, the file just shows the blank white and gray grid background. The Timeline opens but when I push play, no image/video appears. I’m working in Photoshop 2026 v27.6. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I’ve resent all my info. I’ve even used the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool. Still no fix.

I’ve been vibe coding to create a Python app with Gemini and Claude that creates gradients that can be saved as .grd files for use in Photoshop.But when I try to import the gradients into Photoshop I get an error message that they’re not compatible with the current version of Photoshop. Neither AI has been able to resolve it, Gemini even had me opening GRD files in a HEX editor to try to figure out the problem. But no luck. Is there any guidance somewhere on how to create GRD files that Photoshop can use? 

The last thing I did was to hit the ‘generate background’ function in the actions panel, I did not try anything complicated and even got the error message when I asked for a white background!

started using the new photoshop reflection tool. it worked fine, i may have messed around with some preference tools, now all i get is a black layer when i attempt to use the reflection removal tool in photoshop. what did i do wrong? tried a variety of images . the tool seems to go through the motions with no error. just a black layer where the reflection pixels should be.

Would getting a compatible pen for my HP Omnibook X help me to use my computer in tablet mode while using Adobe Photoshop? I've turned on all the suggested settings but everything I'm seeing online seems to say that Adobe Photoshop doesn't support finger painting with a touchscreen laptop, and I'm trying to figure out whether getting a compatible pen for my computer would fix my problem.

MacBook Pro - Version macOS Tahoe 26.4.1New work computer, full adobe account, Photoshop 2026 Save for Web Error.“Could not complete this operation. A write permissions error has occured”I understand this could be a one drive issue, as we work from that and upload to our server - never happened with old computer, was running older system.This one is set up the same, Adobe photoshop has permissions etc.Won’t save anywhere, desktop etc. Have to view on web and drag to desktop for work around.I’ve always used this function to save my work gifs, pngs and sometimes jpegs.Will save to personal hard drive when I’m designing my personal things.But very strongly need this to work for current job position onto our server as before.

Is there a way to completely reset Photoshop to its "factory" settings? I have doinked it up so bad that it's driving me crazy.

Hello, Something changed with PS? Because I cannot resize the text box without automatically resizing the text size inside of it. I want my text size to be 10. But when I resize the text box, the text inside of it automatically adjusts to 14 or more. Why did you make it so cumbersome? 😞

I am using Photoshop 27.6/0 on Macbook pro 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 (2019) and I get message: Finding Distractions not supported on Intel Mac.I have reset preferences and changed setting to more stable and restarted PS after each change to preferences.Any ideas?

I am working to move from an old laptop to new laptop and an old desktop to a new desktop computer.  All Windows. When I deactivated the Photoshop CS5 license from my old laptop, it properly activated on my new laptop. Then, when I deactivated the Photoshop CS5 license from my old desktop, it didn’t make a license available for the new desktop.  Of course, it no longer works on the old desktop.The Production Premium CS5 bundle was purchased directly from Adobe.  It appears in my Adobe account. What is my best plan to get this situation resolved and get Photoshop CS5 working on the new desktop computer?

Yes, I know this is "Legacy" option, however, Save for Web gives more and precise control over images and auto adjusts the dpi saving me a step. It's a big part of our worklfow and Export As. I'd use Export As if it had GIF animation, webp output, etc.The last few versions of Photoshop on PC at least when you go to Save for Web works for a while in a Photoshop session, but then when you try it again, nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen. I then have to shut down all my files and open work and restart Photoshop which is a major time killer.What's the fix for making Save for Web work every time I select it? (No my images are not in 32 bit mode.)Thanks.

I cannot open PS or PS Beta.  I’m on a Mac M2 Max running Tahoe OS.   I haven’t opened photoshop in about a month because I am recovering from an injury, however, today I finally went out and took pictures, edited in LR and went to open one in PS and it won’t open.I thought perhaps if I went to the PS app directly that might do the trick but it doesn’t.  It won’t open.  Neither will PS Beta.   I could not do a shift+ctrl+command to reset preferences.  However, when I held the shift key only while I opened PS it worked but I can’t use any of my plugins in this case. Anyone know of some issues with this?

I am having a difficulty with the Automate batch function in Photoshop. I don't want to use image processor because I need to upsize images with the new Preserve details 2.0.  I create an action: 1 from an open image resize 200% saves as and close.Before I went to the automate batch option I could select the source folder and the destination and it would work perfectly.No more now.I always get this message "There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop". it is quite an absurd message as I point the source to the folder that contains the images. I know that I have not recorded the open image in the action but this was never necessary as once you selected the folder in the automate batch as a source it would open those files inside and run the action.Has this changed now? I have tried "supress file options dialogs" but same result. Is it now compulsory to also save the open file step so that the automate batch runs correctly the action?. I really think this

Is there any way to disable this feature? I routinely convert flat backgrounds into layers by option-double clicking the layer, but that also resizes the whole document window. Older versions of Ps didn’t use to do this.
