Hi everyone,I’m having a strange issue with a Photoshop Action that I’ve been using for more than 5 years without any problems, but in the last 2–3 weeks Photoshop always considers the file as “modified” even after the action saves it correctly.We use the same Workflow for many Pictures in our Company, hence we use the same “Action” for almost every Picture.The action includes: paths / clipping paths profile conversion TIFF save At the end of the action the file is properly saved to disk, but the document title still shows the asterisk (*) as if there are unsaved changes.If I manually close the file after the action finishes, Photoshop shows the popup asking:“Do you want to save changes?”Things I already tried: deleted and recreated all Save / Save As steps left only one normal “Save” at the end added “3” and I repeat “3” normal “Save” at the end of the action removed every step after Save disabled “Save in Background” recreated the action from scratch tried Purge Histo

When working with files in Lightroom Classic, selecting “Open As Layers in Photoshop”, when Photoshop was not previously running, the pressure sensitivity of the brush tool with a Wacom tablet does not work. The brush uses the Opacity setting, not the pressure sensitivity. If the file is saved, closed, and then reopened, pressure sensitivity works again. On all files opened after the initial one, pressure sensitivity works. It seems to only not work correctly on the first instance of a file being opened.This is on a Windows machine, running Windows 11, Photoshop version 27.9.1 and Lightroom Classic version 15.5.

I’m using Photoshop v 27.9.1 on my Windows 11 Pro laptop. I noticed yesterday that when I open a file via the “Recent” section of Photoshop’s Homepage, I cannot use Undo via Ctrl Z. I can only get Ctrl Z to work if I: minimize / maximize Photoshop, tab to another program and back to Photoshop, or undock and redock file tab. It’s almost like the Ctrl Z keyboard command doesn’t relate it’s to Photoshop unless I do those things. Possibly due to my file being a tab? Ctrl Z works no matter how I open the file if I have the file set to show as a window first instead of a tab.The only way I can get Ctrl Z to work consitently as a tab now is by opening a file via “File, Open / Open Recent” or starting a whole new file to work on. This issue happens more times than it doesn’t now. There were sometimes when I opened a file via the recent section of the home page and Ctrl Z worked right when I went to use it.      My Photoshop 2024 was tweaked to include some important steps I wished to include when I set up the “Automate Batch” to save my original tiff and/or jpeg processes files back to their original locations.    When Photoshop 2025 became available, I check with support and was assured that all the little tweak regarding saving files would be transferred from the 2024 version to the 2025 version.  All three attempts, to install 2025 version FAILED to transfer the tweaks I am so pleased to have in my 2024 version.    My assumption is that when version 2026 comes out that it will have been improved and I would very much like to try it out.    However I am wondering if I can delete my 2025 version from my computer and try to update to 2026 from my 2024 version and not from the non-functional 2025 version that currently resides “unused” on my computer.   The BIG question!!!!   Can I update directly from verion 2024 to version 2026 (without going through version 2025)  OR am I stuck with us

How do you crop a single layer in Photoshop?That’s all I want to do. I have a series of images all laid out on my board, I want to crop a single photo of those 10 photos to fit in my grid better. That’s it. I want to crop. I want to select a single layer, and crop it. 

Looking for new graphics card.With the most recent update of Photoshop, I can no longer select 'device' with my 12GB graphics card. Looking at the ASUS Radeon RX 9070 Prime OC Graphics Card (16 GB). Anyone with experience with this card? Thanks for any suggestions.EditCheck for similar questions

How do I fix Camera Raw Masking Select People 

After the latest update the Remove tool is no longer working for me. Even when I click on a tiny area on the same layer it results in a programm error. When I disable AI, it works but the results are terrible for larger areas.I have already increase the available RAM to 12 GB, deleted the cache and the preferences, checked the GPU compatibility, switched the Remove toool to More Stable  and tried unchecking GPU. New update yesterday and new problem... After yesterday's update, I opened Creative Cloud for a plging I wanted to uninstall and surprise! half of the Plugings are missing!!! The PC is newly formatted, all clean installation, and now, PS update and again with problems. You will have to look a little more at what they do with the updates and how they manage the information and preferences we have, we can not waste the time fixing problems that should not occur, put a little more love, simulate the updates, I do not know, do something, I´m wasting too many hours.

In Photoshop 2026 (v27.9.1), when exporting a jpg using the “Save for Web” interface, color profiles are not being embedded even after checking the option. Works just fine in Photoshop 2025.

I've been working with PixelLab for creating simple graphics and text based designs, and I'm trying to find a better workflow for taking those designs into Photoshop for more advanced editing.I'm particularly interested in keeping the image quality as good as possible when moving from PixelLab to Photoshop. I'm also wondering whether it's better to export as PNG, use a higher resolution canvas, or use another format before opening the design in Photoshop.I've been working with PixelLab resources and versions as well, and came across PixellabHub while looking for resources related to the app: For anyone who uses both PixelLab and Photoshop, what workflow would you recommend for getting the best quality and flexibility when moving a design from one to the other?

I updated Photoshop 2025 yesterday which apparently came with a camera raw update.  The denoise in camera raw stops after 15-25 percent then does not reactivate on the raw file when selected.  

I recently downloaded the latest Photoshop update and now none of my drivers/processors are compatible to allow me to edit in camera raw.  After digging around and trying to update drivers, I realized I need windows 11 and will have to buy a new laptop to be compatible with the new update.  Can I uninstall the update and install an older version? Which version is the last to work well with windows 10?

Last week it began returning unexpected results when tasked with fixing a small area. I noticed two things:First: it can’t help but hallucinate. It will reliably return a snake, a bow and arrow, a jar of something or what not. Usually in situations were it used to reliably fill in a texture perfectly and out perform Firefly Fill & Expand.Second, it seems to have lost the ability to seamlessly retian texture over a small area. Often it comes back mangled or oversharpened if it doesn’t have an ice pick or a toaster thrown in.Anyone else seeing this? It seemed like a pretty sudden server side thing so please please please don’t ask me to post 10 pages of my system info efectively killing this thread. 

I was using the Filter Aberration parametric filter extensively and suddenly stopped working. After the 27.5 update, when Photoshop is closed, it stays active in RAM. The same applies to opening and closing individual documents. I have 32 GB of RAM, and if I open several documents—for example, using up 16 GB of RAM—and then close one of them, the consumed memory does not decrease; it remains in memory. It gets to the point where, after an hour of work, RAM usage reaches 29–30 GB. And after closing Photoshop, the memory is not freed until you manually terminate the process in Task Manager. Also, until you end the process via Task Manager, you cannot restart Photoshop. When using the remove tool , as in these two example images, the new image information created by the remove tool is more pixelated and lower rez than the image being edited. See the before and after images where I am removing the road and Semi.  I have used REMOVE for years, and this is a new problem. Any ideas for how to fix this?

This bug has been reported before, but persists, making editing arduous. It only became a problem recently, so I feel it is a version issue, say after 25 or so. I have not downgraded as of yet, but may have no choice. After a few touch ups (nothing major, like skin blemish), the tool will freeze and then memory use will ramp up until entirely maxed out (64 GB). I see it in the Task Manager graph. After about two minutes (if a person was willing to wait), a dialog box pops up saying there is no more memory to complete task. When closed, I can save the image and proceed. This has happened each and every time I edit an image and I cannot go more than 5 uses before this happens.  I contacted support over the phone and was told to increase memory usage under performance. I does not help and resetting preferences also does not help. This issue needs to be fixed as I feel the remove tool is one of the core tools users now rely on. If it would be helpful to d

The Remove Tool freezes during processing and leaves the pink Remove Tool overlay stuck on screen. Photoshop becomes unusable and will not accept normal input.This has happened three times in two days. It happened once yesterday and twice today.Clicking anywhere in the Photoshop window only triggers the Windows exclamation sound. Alt Tab does not show any hidden Photoshop dialog or error window.
