Questions

I'm a long-time Elements user (since Elements 3 I think) and I have some recently acquired .jsx files I need to use in Elements 2024, but I cannot find an answer anywhere on the web, including the Adobe forums. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I've been using Elements 11 for years and am very familiar with formatting and cropping photos and printing them.  However, recently after editing a photo, when ever I am in print mode and I choose a photo size to print, if I rotate it and move it on the page, it will crop the sides off when I print it out.  Is there a setting I need to change so this doesn't happen?  

I purchased Photoshop Elements on a free adobe account a couple years back and installed it on my PC.If I now wish to install it on a laptop as well, do I need to purchase it again or does my original purchase cover me across both systems?

I have just installed Photoshop Elements 2024 on a new IMac (first time user of Elements) and when I open photos from my IPhone in Elements they are opening as thumbnails. What am I doing wrong? 

I have been using Photoshop Elements 1.01 since I bought my computer in 2007.  My machine crashed last year and the hard drive was reformatted by a technician who installed current versions of the basic software.  I reloaded several of the programs which I used regularly.  However, Photoshop Elements would not install.  I get the error message that I need Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater to install it.  My Computer has IE 11.  Is there anything I can do to reinstall my PE?

Hello Adobe PSE Community members, When I purchased a new computer last year, I used the tools in PSE 2022 to move my photos. In my previous Pictures folder on my previous computer (Win 10), I had a logical folder hierarchy that ranged from 2-4 folder in depth. When I used the tool in PSE 2022 to migrate the DB to my new Win11 computer, it completely changed the folder hierarchy. Fortunately, I have the old hierarchy backed up on a portable HDD, exactly the way I want it. The question is two part:1) If I delete the current (messed-up) folders in my Pictures folder and copy the backed-up ones into the Pictures, will PSE autmatically re-connect the DB to the images in the replaced folder structure?2) Is there a better way to do this? Jay B.

When trying to open some photos, an error message pops up.  It is:  "Could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete)." These photos were downloaded from the same card and at the same time as photos that do open.  If you have a solution for this, please advise me on what actions to take.   Thank you.

In the lower left cornor you can see the little box with the CHECK MARK, and the CIRCLE  that denote save or cancel That little box is in the way and can't be moved.  If you try and type it ends up behind it. Adobe needs to make that box MOVABLE so it can be dragged OUT OF THE WAY.

I have downloaded Video files from my camera to Photoshop elements 12. I was advised to download quicktime tp view these in the organiser. This worked great, however one of the fles shows as side on or 90 degrees out of kilter. The option to edit the video is not an option. Has anyone an answer?

I am running Elements 2024 on Sonoma. Suddenly the clone stamp is totally unusable because of lag. I have tried resetting all tools but this hasn't fixed it. Do you have any other suggestions?

My previous Lenovo laptop and my current Lenovo T15p do not display text layers as I input characters until I hit the check tab button to lock it in. In other words, I am flying blind not being able to see what I am typing.For example, when I switch to text to insert over a blank page or graphic, I get the requisite Lorem Ipsum dummy text input window I then click into the beginning of the text window and start entering my text. The cursor may or may not move. None of the input is displayed. Then I click the check tab button to finish my entry and suddenly my text is displayed. I begin editing my typos and sizing it, etc., however, I can't see my corrections or resizing until I click the check tab.This same scenario happened with my previous Lenovo laptop Photo Elements 2003 and it is the same with my newer Lenovo and the 2004 edition.I have posted the problem on Lenovo Community Support and it was suggested to reset Bios to default settings and reinstall Elements. My Photo shop express for android has frozen. When I open the app it asks, as usual, do you want to finish off with your last edit, but does not give me the option to answer  yes or no then freezes.

There is a black box on the line tool with measurements I need to get rid of it

I loaded PE 2023 yeaterday . It scanned my computer the showed not  only photo files and folders but my music folders as well. How do I get PE to not show the music files?  I clicked media files/ photos only but nothing happened. Thanks

I'm probably missing something here. I imported some JPG+RAW images, using APD, with the option to automatically stack JPG+RAW. So far so good. Then I edited the RAW, saved a DNG, and then opened the processed RAW in Editor to Save As JPG, Include in Organizer, Save in Version Set. Now Organizer allows me to expand the version set, but not the stack. So the original in-camera JPG is inaccessible. The Manual says: A stack without this problem, expanded, looks like: A version set, supposedly nested in a stack, expanded as far as it can be, looks like this:The image on the left is the version set image, the image on the right is the ARW that was the "top of stack" of the original stack that the left image was versioned from. Note the dashed line brackets. But also note that there is no way to further expand the stack. how do you get the pencil sketch levels button to work? 2021 version

I have done a search to find out a solution but am struggling to know which terms I might be looking for.  Perhaps someone that tell me whether the following is possible.I'd like to scan in my family's old photographs.  Ideally, I'd like to (temporarily) store them on a latop which I can take with me when I visit my mother who will (hopefully) be able to tell me who the subjects were and, possibly, where and when the photos may have been taken.  It would make sense to utilise Photoshop Elements Organizer to help with this.When I return home I would then like to import all those photos onto my desktop PC - along with all the data regarding face recognition, dates and places.Is this possible?  Or am I constrained to writing it all down on paper and typing it in when I get home?

Hello, I just installed a payed version of adobe elements on my Mac. With the organiser  I can't play AVI files. Can you tell me how I can correct this?I use Mac OS Sonoma and my quick player is version 10.5Please help!

Loaded PE 2024 today. Installed Camera Raw and opened the photos, but instead of the controls I got "Camera Raw requires GPU acceleration to update photos". I use PE 2018 almost daily and Camera Raw has always worked perfectly. Can someone help me

I have a very old typed manuscript on brittle yellowed typing paper that I scanned.  I have it in JPG and PDF formats.  The text is fine for most of the pages, but in some of them the original was light, fuzzy, and unreadable, the scanned image is the same way.  I have Phtoshop Elements 24.  Can the text be made readable on the poor pages in PE 24 or is some other software better for this?  If so how do I do it?

I bought and downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements yesterday but each time I edit an image, save, exit and then attempt to reopen Photoshop Elements the program does not respond.  The online Adobe help technician reset my preferences last night.  I edited, saved, exited and reopened a couple of times and it worked.  But now this evening it is not reopening again.  The technician gave me a keyboard shortcut; Alt+Control+Shift, to reset Photoshop preferences when opening the program but it has not worked for me.  So far only restarting the computer or manually resetting the preferences seems to work.  I saw that on this and other forums that many others are having this issue also.  Does anyone have a genuine fix for this issue?Intel i7-4770Windows 10 Pro16 GB RAM256 GB SSD1 TB HDNVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
