Hallo! I need a new Mac with an up to date OS - but I dont want to rent Photoshop as I am a basic user. So - can I transfer all my pics (originals and optimized) from Photoshop CS 6 to Elements 2023? Thank you!

When editing photos in PSE2023, the layer thumbnail does not show detail, especially layer mask thumbnails.  After either returning photo to bin or closing the photo, and then reloading the photo to edit screen, all is well until the next layer is created and edited.  The photo in the edit screen is correct as to the edit actions.  I have reverted to PSE 2020 and all works as expected. I am using windows laptop, and have been using PSE for many years.  This if first time I have had problem like this

In Photoshop Elements 2021 and Photoshop and Premiere Elements 2021, I can't download updates. In Creative Cloud desktop, under Applications, the two products are not listed for update.In the two products themselves, update is inactive in the menu selection.

I just started using the Adjust Sharpness instead of the Unsharp Mask. I read somewhere that the Amount percentage would be lower in Adjust Sharpness than in Unsharp Mask to get the same result from the same radius setting. However, that doesn't seem to be true for me so far (just beginning). If anything, maybe the opposite has been true so far. What have your experiences been in using these two methods??Elements 2018 (v. 16), Windows 7

I would like to add a watermark or signature to some of my photos. I read that I can go to the "type" box in editor and simply write or type what I want. I have done this but note when I do, it saves the one copy with the signature and is how I would like it but leaves a copy of the original one as well. I really only want one with my signature or watermark on it. Can this be done with some of the watermark programs that are on the market or is there a better way to do it? 

I'm a newbie using PS Elements 2018 so I apologize up front if my terminology is incorrect. I have a simple PSD file that contains my "signature" in a black script font.  Other than the text, the rest of the work-area is invisible.I have "imported" this signature PSD file on top of a photograph using the FILE and PLACE... commands.  So now I have two layers: the photo (on the bottom) and the signature (above the photo); the signature shows up as a "smart object" thumbnail..MY PROBLEM: I want to edit the signature text in the signature (smart object) layer (e.g., change the color and font size) but cannot find a way to do so other than doing a custom edit in the signature PSD file and then placing that on the photo.  I am hoping to be able to change the signature size and color based on the nature of the photo I am working on.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks for your help!

Photoshop Elements 2023 restore from my full backup to a new installation is stuck at 99%. It first hung at 81% for several hours and then moved on.  Now it has been at 99% for several hours. I have a new installation of Windows 11 and Photoshop Elements 2023.  Am restoring from a Full backup; probably about 20,000 pictures and 50 videos.  Do I cancel or wait? 

hi I have recently upgraded to Adobe photoshop Elements 2023 and am having issues ie when using Shadow  - Highlight it hangs an takes a long time to see what changes are or just part changes to settings also is much slower than previuosly used 2020 version which had no problems. iMac 13.1 ventura up to date. Mikey

I have an outdated CS5 Extended teacher edition PS program with the product and serial #'s. It will no longer run on my Mac. Is there a way to update the program to run on a Mac mini 2012 running Catalina 10.15.7? I am a beginner getting back to taking pictures. Bonjour, j'utilise Photoshop Elements 2019 sans problème depuis 3 ans. Or, là, je n'arrive plus à ouvrir mon Photoshop. On me demande de me connecter pour utiliser mon logiciel. Je me suis connecté, j'ai entré mon n° se série comme on me le demandait mais je tourne en boucle.. ça revient toujours à la fenêtre se connecter. Je n'arrive donc plus à accéder à mon logiciel sinon en version d'essai 30 jours. Mais je n'en veux pas puisque j'ai acheté ce logiciel ! . Que faire ? Je vous remercie.

Using little thumbnails some pictures are shown correct, others only grey with a hourglass. Changing to a greater size these grey-with-hourglass change to the correct picture, but back to smaller thumbnails they change again to grey-with-hourglass. This phenomenon is attached to specific pictures (correct and hourglass-representation of the same camera, same day, same hour; see screen dumps). What tot do?

I am not a computer whiz.  I have Adobe Elements and use it to create graphics for scrapbooking and collage projects.     I recently installed a Canon G6000 printer.  It prints fine.  The newtork connection is fine.  Every test worked fine.  But when I go into Elements and try to print anything in the PHOTO EDITOR, it will not recognize the new printer as the default printer.  I receive an error message that reads:  X because the default printer could not be opened.     This error message comes up whether I am printing a jpeg, tiff, gif...very frustrating.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Moved from Premiere Elements to Photoshop Elements... I recently purchased Elements 2023 Mac version.  When I import from a folder on my computer it says it's done but I still see No Media.  If I try to import again, it says the photos are already in the catalog.  Under view I have all media types and show hidden files.  The photos I am importing are a mix of jpg and pdd.  I had Elements 2018 which worked fine.  I didn't want to import the 2018 catalog, I wanted to start fresh.  Thank you very much for your help.

I have a disc copy of PSE 15 which is installed on my Win10 machine and has been working quite happily until today. Now when I open the program, it demands the licence key/serial number. I have input this from the printed key on the CD sleeve, (making sure to enter the PSE one not the Premiere Elements 15 one also on the sleeve). There is a longish delay, then I am prompted to retry after deactuivating on one of my other devices (it is onloy on one other device, and both were working correctly simultaneously before today) or to try a different serial number. There is also a contact support link on the failure page, when this is clicked, it says the licence is either expired (it is a disc version so should not expire) or invalid (well it was valid last week when I used the program without issue). My colleague with her own licensed disc version in use on two machines is also experiencing the same thing today. Please note, I am not re-installing the program, or transferring

After importing lot of photos from a vacation, I received a message that I had made enough changes to my (PE2019) Catalog on (Windows 11) that I should back up my catalog so I tried to. After I gave a location for the backup, while it was preparing files but before it gave any percentage complete, it just stopped. No error message. So I closed out of the program, logged off and back on and tried again. When I went to bed, the back up was 90% complete. In the morning Photoshop Elements program was closed. I just saw my desktop. There was not the usual message that the backup had finished and press enter to refresh. When I got back into Elements I received the same message that a catalog backup was recommended. So it looked like the backup never ran, but the new backup file is on my external hard drive. The last two lines of the backup file are .tly and .buc, as usual. What happened? I use a custom location for my catalog and it is on a different external hard drive from my photos, if th

In PSE 2020 Captions in "Full Screen" mode are in the middle of the picture. I want the captions at the bottom of the screen. I would upgrade to get this.

Back when I had an earlier version of Elements, I was told how to set things up so that when I clicked on File > Import, I would immediately see my Epson Perfection V500 Photo scanner, and not just WIA Support.  I now have Adobe Photoshop Elements 20.  Does anyone know how to set that linkup?

Is it the same for Nikon?  I have been processing RAW files for as long as I can remember with Elements.  Why would they change it now?  Where so I find the Nikon file for the Camera Raw plugin?  Thanks  

Hallo, ich habe Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 gekauft. Zuvor hatte ich 2022 auf meinem Rechner (Windows 11).Die Installation funktionierte einwandfrei. Wenn ich nun Photoshop Elements geöffnet habe und zwar den Organizer dann haben die oberen Reiter Datei, Bearbeiten, Suchen usw. keine Funkton es tut sich nichts wenn ich dort drauf klicke.Wenn ich den Button Importieren drücke passiert nicht. Kurz um ich kann das Programm nicht bedienen!!Hat jemand einen Rat?MfG
