Questions

The OpenTimelineIO (.otio) export option does not appear in Premiere Pro's File > Export menu, despite successful installation. Only standard formats (EDL, OMF, AAF, XML, etc.) are listed. OTIO is completely missing.   

Hi @Mathias Moehl  I'm crafting a variation of the Update Texts of Ae Mogrt with Spreadsheet script (another upskilling from my current knowledge base given the way it works).I want the target coumn index to be dynamic, and dependent on other data in the project (potentially sequence name).To start that process, I'm hoping you can answer this first question - can the variable "target column index" be tied to the text in row 1 of the spreadsheet, as opposed to just the column number? Example - Cell 1B is titled "this column" and we've defined the variable "target column index" as "this column"

I searched it up and found the same answer for a similar problem (click A1) but it wasn't mine. Basically, if I drag in a clip to make a new timeline, the audio comes too.But when I drag in another track, the audio clip does NOT come.I've tried restarting my PC, uninstalling then reinstalling the app, etc. Nothing works. And my problem seems to be uncommon, as I can't find anything on it. PLEASE help if you have experienced this before. It's annoying, especially since I help make promotional videos for a local company, so editing is a big part of my life.

Might be a very small issue to bring up here but one thing that keeps slowing down my workflow every time I start a new project.When I select a Location to save my project in the "New Project" panel, and click on "New Folder" in the Finder window that opens, it does not allow me to paste a name for it.Is this a Premiere issue or just a general Mac OS thing? And does anybody have any fix for this mildly infurating problem of mine? Thanks a lot! 🙂 

Hi guys, i am a new user in Pr 2025, I want know where can I find the effect that i save in effect area, every time I want to find it, I can't find it in presets in effect area

This is a video & check mark in red color is a standalone PNG layer drag & drop on the video. Is there any effect to move & scale down the check mark when video plays?  

My Premiere Pro is lagging while editing. I can't preview the video because it's constantly jumping forward and backward, and the sound in the videos is completely garbled.I've tried several things to fix it, but nothing is working. This is such a simple thing to do in any other tool (that I can think of at least). All I want to do is copy text from one text layer (A) to another layer (B) while ignoring the text attributes of (A). Basically I just want to paste "plain text". Has anyone found a workaround for this?

I am only using Adobe Enhanced Speech to clean up some old VHS tape files that I digitized where the audio is poor.  It works great.  I am able to download the video with enhanced audio to the hard drive on my computer without any issue.  However, I am transfering some of the files to a USB Thumb drive and keep getting this error: I don't know why it should matter if it is an MP4 file.  Any suggestions?

Suddenly, I can no longer use the arrow keys in Premiere. They work fine in other apps. My jog and shuttle device also stopped working. When I use the keys or my ShuttleXpress from Contour Design, I do see movement in the playhead, as I see minimal movement in the audio playback tab when using both options. So the problem isn't with my keyboard or the ShuttleXpress. What could be causing this?

 Above is a short reel video. I want to add text to that video as below. I tried with adjustment layer but it did not work. How to do it?  

This still isn't fixed for me in Sept 2025. I have to Reset To Saved Layout before importing any media, and I have do so repeatedly for each batch of files I am importing. Worse, Premiere does not actually save the correct layout of my preferred workspace, so I have to recreate it every time I want to import media.   I have to do the same before using the Replace Media function in the right click menu.   I have to do the same before selecting the save location while exporting.   It seems to happen any time Premiere has to access my computer's file system   @Fergus H you were a rock star at solving the interpreted footage proxy issue from a few years back. I wonder if you would mind taking a look at this import issue? All the best.   [This post was branched from an older post for troubleshooting]

Hello,I have several clips with sounds which are linked with video together. I want to put the title at the beginning. Title is five second long and there is no sound and it has black background. The problem is that if I put it at the beginning with CTRL key only video moves for five seconds forward. Sound from the clip is still at the same position. I do not know why if the video and audio is linked together.I use the newest version of Premiere pro.Thank you for your help.Jakub

Aujourd'hui, même , j'ai installé la mise à jour de  (la version 25.2.3). Alors qu'elle fonctionnait très bien hier, aujourd'hui après la mise à jour, impossible de l'ouvrir ! voici la fenêtre d'erreur : Adobe premiere pro est endommagé et ne peut pas être ouvert. Vous devriez placer cet élément dans la corbeille.  J'ai désinstallé et réinstallé plusieurs fois l'application (j'ai tout supprimé, j'ai réparé...) et rien n'y fait. Il ne veut plus me l'ouvrir ! Avez-vous eu ce problème ? Qu'avez-vous fait ?  

Hi, I have an old premiere file - it was created about 5 or 6 years ago. I've just opened it up in the latest version of Premier and the audio layer is not playing. I get the following errors shown  in the screenshot below and the second screenshot shows what the audio layer looks like. I was just wondering if anyone knows a solution to this? Thanks in advance.  

I recently upgraded to 25.4.0 and now the Luma Key effect says that it is offline.

Hi:I was wondering how many clips I have between minute 1 and minute 0 (for example)Selected them all with the A tool, and no indicator of how many clips were selected showed upI feel this is a lack in the ergonomy departement.I am suggesting to add this option. Thanks

Hi everyone,I’m importing HDR video footage shot on an iPhone into Premiere Pro, and the colors look completely washed out / desaturated compared to how they appear on the phone.Has anyone dealt with this? Is there a specific workflow, LUT, or color space setting I should be using to preserve the original look of the iPhone HDR video?Thanks in advance!     

I find the whip transition very useful as I'm sure many do.  There is just one small problem for me however -  the transition goes only from left to right.  Any chance of it going from right to left as well?  It seems odd to me that the first clip doesn't appear to move "out of the way" (i.e. to the left) before the second clip appears.

Set poster frame isn't working for me in Premiere 2022. Anyone else having this issue? Did premiere change the way to set a poster frame thumbnail?

When generating a transcript it becomes possible to remove for instance silences and breaks. You can search for a word within the transcript, but you can't actually delete it when right clicking for instance. How do you delete a section of the timeline directly by deleting the word?

Is there any new feature make it possible to convert a reel into usual video without lossing it's quality?

Hola a todos, ¿alguien solucionó esto?  He etsado trabajando en premiere pro, y hoy quise abrir la aplicación y me dice que no puedo abrir la apliación, pregunto al chat de adobe y no me da solución.   Uso una mac m1 actualizada y no he tenido problemas antes.  Tambien noté en el centro de notificaciones de adobe creative cloud, dos cosas que llamaron mi atención y que no he podido resolver, y ahora pienso que pueda esto ser una causa del problema:    1) Me marca error 136 en Media Encoder, dice que vuelva a actualizar, pero lo hago y no pasa nada, o sea llevo una semana tratando de entender qué hacer con esa notificación. 2) Dice que las bibliotemas no se están actualizando pero la manera en la que me indica que resuelva el problema no es efectiva. Entonces..... Si alguien me puede ayudar con esto porfavor!

Is there way to add any file extension other than *.mp4 in the save as list of options?
