I'm relatively new to Premiere and trying to insert a brief pause into the video. I used the razor tool to make a cut in the narration audio, and now I want to budge over everything to the right.I thought I could do this with the track select forward tool, but it's not moving my section markers. So, two questions:1. What's the point of the track select forward tool if it doesn't move markers? Isn't it virtually useless? Or is it not recommended to use markers in our projects? I would find it very difficult to work on a large, complicated video without markers to let me see the overall structure at a glance.2. Am I doing this wrong? Is there an easier way to budge everything over to the right? I'm just trying to create a gap in the narration, which I will later fill with a title (but I haven't started adding slides and titles yet).
Hello,I have recently installed Adobe Creative Cloud and I have uploaded some programs. But I have a problem. My app language shows Turkish in Creative Cloud but Premiere Pro is still English. How can I change it to Turkish?
Hey guys! I am new to using Adobe premiere pro and editing in general. I am having major lag spikes when doing any type of editing. For example I have my facecam and gaming video on 2 seperate tracks. When I simply want to move my camera on the playback screen it will cause adobe to completely freeze or if I do any kind of edit. At first I was able to add edits and perform tasks like this with no lag but I am a third of the way in on this 30 minute video and it lags with every action I try to do. I can't continue with how bad it is. I have 64GB of ram with an intel i9 cpu. Storage I have 2 1 tb firecuda nvme drives and a 10tb hdd. This video was recorded as a double wide 3840x1080 at 60fps so I could split my facecam and video by duplicating the track in adobe. I have included a video of the lag as well. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Hey Folks How are people organising their folder structures on disk versus their bin structures inside the production? What is the best practice?egIf I have this on disk /path/to/production01_cuts02_rushes03_audio04_gfxetc etc But I also want to mirror this inside the production01_cuts02_rushes03_audio04_gfx Do I create the production here? /path/to/productionOr should I put it here? /path/to/production/00_production for exampleWhen I do it the first way, I end with media in the directory eg audio, but also project files mixed in, eg audio/music, audio/vo, etcBut if I have it in the 00_production directory, I'm doubling up on the folders on disk. Any thoughts? suggestions?
Hello all. I am currently a sophomore in college. In December of last year, I made the slow transition into the field of digital media. After a while of figuring out how everything works, I decided to join the Adobe family. Things have gone okay for the most part, but as I have progressed I have gotten more opportunities and taken on more responsibilities in my field of work. This often becomes difficult when I have to deal with constant Premiere Pro bugs, glitches, crashes, all of which somehow always result in none of my projects being auto-saved, causing me to lose HOURS of work. I cannot keep taking steps backwards when I have such a great opportunity ahead of me. What can I do about this as I have been searching for hours with no results.
Hi Folks. I've done some research but can't find an answer for this...yet. I'm working on a doc project and logging footage. Syncing dual system and multicameras using the Create Multi-Camera Source sequence as Adobe suggests in their literature. Working in a Production. I need to find a way to get metadata added to the source clips, to carry over to the synced sequences. For instance if I log 'Scene' information on the video clips, Premiere dumps this when a synced sequence is made. Ditto keywords, ditto 'Description' column. Is there any way to fix this? Really trying to avoid loads of repeated data entry. Tedious and susceptible to error, and ideally I'd have the metadata info on both. Really easy in Avid as synced clips are subclips of Masters so share simple metadata by default.Any thoughts / ideas greatly appreciated. (Premiere Pro 25.2.3)
I am noticing after the 2025 update that my timeline playhead is very choppy. However, this issue only seems to happen when the timeline is docked. Once you undock the timeline the playhead runs smoothly. What is the cause of this, and is there a way to fix this? I am running Windows 11 and a 3 monitor setup, but premiere's workspace only takes up 2 of those monitors.I am taken a screen recording of the issue on my main monitor. https://www.loom.com/share/5fa79c8824514308bf9e717bd5a06374?sid=49265cee-ff94-4e46-84bb-b94ab876877e
Hi,I have an issue with my preview on Premiere Pro : it freezes too often and the only thing I can do when it happens is to restart my project, which can be very tedious when it's a big project with a lot to clips to load. The thing is, all seems to be good EXCEPT the preview that is freezing, all the project is usable, I can naviguate as easily as always but I can't have the preview. I've also checked all the performances in the task manager and there is nothing to report, neither my CPU nor my memory reach more than 30%. So, here is my computer setup :- CPU : Intel i7-11700F 2,50GHz- GPU : NVIDIA GeForce 3060 Ti- 32Gb RAM And, for Premiere Pro :- Using GPU acceleration- Preview in Apple ProRes 422 LT- Always previewing on the minimum resolution (1/4 on HD and 1/8 in 4K) Everything is on latest version, my drivers, Premiere Pro... Thank you for your help !
I'm unable to pan in the Program Monitor using my mouse and trackpad. It zooms in and then stays stationary and the hand tool doesn't work like it does in photoshop or after effects. Has anyone found a work around?
Is there a program that will work with the virtual studio and such from Visual Communicator 3?
Hi all,I’m using Premiere Pro 2025 and I’ve noticed the new project template system, including options like "Social Media Template Project.prproj" when creating a new project.Inside that template, there are prebuilt overlay elements like visual guidelines nd 9:16 formatting helpers. Is it possible to extract or locate these overlays so I can import and use them in older versions of Premiere Pro?Is it possible to locate these assets via File Explorer (or any internal directory) so that I can import or reuse them in older versions of Premiere Pro (v22.2)?Is Premiere storing these templates and overlays as separate media files or are they fully embedded within the .prproj file? What are the options for extracting or exporting these overlays for backward compatibility? Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to generate Keyboard Shortcuts for the Insta360 Plugin Reframe components (Pan, Tilt, Roll, etc.)?
Hi, Since I updated to 2022, my keyboard doesn't work with premiere pro, whereas I have not had this issue on other Apps. A simple action like play/stop with the spacebar, or even deleting with the delete button, nothing works. Some days it works, and some days it doesn't I Am obliged to edit with the mouse and this gets me slow, Please help.
I've started doing color correction in a Premiere Project with some Panasonic V-Log and Sony S-Log footage. I changed the Color Setup for the sequence to Wide Gamut (Toned Mapped) and the Output Color Space to Rec 709. Everything looks great, until I bring in either footage that is already Rec 709 or some motion graphics I created in AE. These clips look darker and desaturated when placed in the timeline. I tried to change the Source Clip color space, but none look correct. What must I do to get them back to their original look? Thanks!
Hi all I have a timeline with 3 tracks and i want to cut the end of all clips on the 3rd track. When i choose them with the ripple edit tool and trim the ends it moves all the clips forward a bit obviously. I dont want that because i am using a timecode timeline and when the clips move they are out of sync with the other tracks. Is there a way to trim the ends (all clips from track 3) without them moving? Thanks in advance
I am having issues with Premiere Pro 2022 outputting video through my Black Magic Ultra Studio. I am on a new MacStudio running Montery OS. My BMD software and firmware are up to date and the I/O works fine with AVID and Resolve. Audio does come out through the device just not picture.
I am on a mac mini m4Sequoia 15.5Premiere pro production on 25.3.0 (build 84) When I search for text in a transcript from the search panel, I will right-click the relevant search result and "open in source monitor". Then, if I cut into my working sequence from there, it creates a duplicate sequence that I am unable to remove. If I erase, it will erase everything I cut into my working sequence.I try to reassociate, and nothing happensIf I drag the duplicate sequences into the project I am trying to reassociate to, they will all disappear if I select "Consolidate duplicates"However, I cannot move them from the project where they are duplicated. If I drag them out, they will only duplicate to the other project.I tried taking the working sequence AND duplicate sequences into the same project I am trying to reassociate to, consolidate duplicates, they disappear. Then try to drag the working sequence back out to the original project, it repopulates the duplicated sequence in that p
Hi guys! Im really hoping that someone can help me understand why After Effects will not just leave my text files alone. I mainly edit "gaming" vidoes for youtubers and I do a lot with subtitles. So I add stroke, drop shadow, etc... BUT when I try to "replace with after effects composition" for the sake of tracking text to an in-game characters head using AE's motion tracker, it completely ruins how the text looks. The stroke gets skinnier and the drop shadow is completely gone! I've tried to look up why this is and the best thing I can find was about how AE interperates text files, and it doesn't share the same effects panel with PP.I need some way to protect the look of the text as it goes into AE, any ideas?
I'm not too wise with PC hardware - my past housemate used to support me on that subject.I keep all my camera footage on an 8TB NTFS HDD with other document types and render to another local drive as I was advised the rendering would be faster like that rather than read/write on the same drive. Now I'm wondering whether I should set my dedicated 465GB render drive (Crucial BX100 SATA SSD) to NTFS or EXFAT? Any recommendations/difference for best performance? (or is it more about the speed of the HDD drive reading the original 150Mbps multicamera footage?)
Using Premiere Pro CC 2015, I'm faced with footage from 3 camera's:1) my Sony RX100: 1280x720, 25fps, mp42) A cell phone: 1920x1080, 30fps, mp43) another photo camera: 1920x1080, 25fps, movCan any of you please advise me how to go about importing these 3 formats (best sequence settings), and when I'm done editing which format to choose for the output file ?Many thanks in advance,Peter
