Hey Premiere community, I've been using premiere for a long time, and have just started a new project and I'm hitting a wall that's completely throwing me. I'm certain it's got to be some button that got turned off somewhere, but after a bunch of research I'm coming up empty.(latest version of Premiere, MacBook Pro M3 Max)I've prepped all my dailies as I usually do, merged the production audio with the camera dailies and created clips in the media bin that usually have 5 tracks of mono audio. 2 from the camera, and then a boom and 2 lavs. In the media bin, I've used Modify Clip Audio to turn off the camera audio, leaving me with tracks 3, 4 and 5: I've set my IN and OUT in the Source monitor, which shows 3 tracks of mono audio:Then I remap and select which tracks I want to go into the timeline when I drag the selected clip in, so I drag the clip in and THIS happens: It's not just dragging the sound source tracks I've selected, it's pulling all 5 tracks out, even t
I'm time poor and think automation blocks could be a fruitful investment. I'm hoping to understand if my use-case is feasable and get a leg-up in creating scripts that I can implement. I lose a lot of time in performing repetitive tasks on the timeline. Premieres order of operations requires lots of nesting in relation to effects, warp stabilizer, time remapping etc. A lot of what I do is a variation on the following: Insert clip from source (w I/O points) Apply Warp Stabilizer preset Hit analyze Nest Add a zoom in/out with scale parameter Apply speed adjustment or speed ramp preset (or at least the keyframes to do so). Variations of this can be: nesting, reversing, then nesting AGAIN (keyframe paramaters become useless post-speed adjustment requiring a "pre-compose") If all of this could be completed with one click or a keyboard shortcut it would be a lifesaver. I understand from other threads that applyin
I wanted to say that I was ELATED to see some MUCH (!!!!) awaited changes to PP, what particularly comes to mind is the ability to more easily navigate the Program monitor. Yes, it took far too long to implement. But better sooner than never! I did my usual muscle-memory mouse and keyboard strokes that I'm used to from every other program I use, to zoom in to the Program Monitor, and WOW I was shocked that it actually zoomed in! Then I tried to pan and sure enough, the typical alt-click-drag that I know from 3D did the trick! So thank you Adobe for finally taking care of this enormous improvement to my workflow, I cannot stress enough ow much
Does anyone know how to restore presets I had saved before I updated to the latest version of Premiere? I've spent so long fine tuning all my presets and I selected an option when updating to keep all my settings which I assumed would keep the presets as well.
This is for the benefit of others who run into this same export problem that I did. I have a MacBook (OS Sequoia 15) with Premiere Pro 2025 and a G-RAID Shuttle 4. When I upgraded to Premiere's latest version, suddenly I couldn't export projects to the G-RAID (Error message: Could not write destination Media File <DESTINATION> because it is locked. Access is denied.). I could, however, export internally to the Mac or to other external flash drives. I checked Privacy-->Files & Folders, as others have recommended in other posts, but it only listed my Documents folder -- there was nothing else to toggle and change. So, I called Adobe. Bottom line: he told me it was a G-RAID problem and there was nothing he could do. End of call. After the call, did more digging and, in Privacy-->Full Disk Access, I noticed Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 wasn't toggled on. It is now and I can once again export. Problem solved!
On Premiere pro my video is fine with working audio however after my export has finished the video only plays a portion of its audio and the rest is muted. I have checked my timeline and none of the audio is muted and in the export settings, both video and audio are ticked. I have exported my video twice and the same thing keeps happening! If someone has any advice or reasons why this is happening it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi there, When I export a sequence using a CEP panel with the command: app.project.sequences[index].exportAsMediaDirect(outputPath, presetPath, workAreaType) the output file does not contain the metadata corresponding to the project path (among other details). https://ppro-scripting.docsforadobe.dev/sequence/sequence/?h=exportasmediadirect#sequenceexportasmediadirect However, when exporting using the same preset (.epr) via Premiere's built-in export tool, this metadata does appear. I have attached a screenshot comparing the metadata outputs: On the left, the export was done via script. On the right, it was done using Premiere's built-in export tool. As seen on line 97, the project path appears in the Premiere export but is missing in the script-based export. What could be causing this? Any idea? I've attached a screenshot containing all the generated metadata. Thanks in advance! Joan
Running the latest version but Transcribe Sequence is greyed out when i try to transcribe in order to create closed captions. What gives?
Hi, does anyone know how to fix this error code related to failure of audio playback, the video doesn’t even play. Some context: I did install a new hard drive since my old one is full. I already deleted the media cache files as suggested in other posts. I set the location for the media cache database and file to the new hard drive and also the project as well…and it still won’t playback so I don’t know what’s wrong. I also tried uninstalling Adobe on the old hard drive and installing it on the new hard drive. But still won't work. Please help! See attached video.
Hi all, this is my first time posting here so please bear with me if this is too much info or seen as a simple problem. It's not simple for me as I've spent over 2 hours trying to solve it 😞 I'm making a 15s slideshow only using photos that are all under 12 MB each for an IG story (1080x1920). The black vertical lines begin on the third photo/at 8 seconds. There's no reason I can think of that explains why I'm having this many playback issues with a project this small. I've gone through all related posts and tried multiple solutions, listed below. Nothing works. After I replace the "footage", the lines will temporarily disappear even though I didn't render again yet and the bar above the clip is red. But once I render the sequence they appear again after all bars above clips are green/rendered. What I've tried so far:Replacing the problem "footage" (photo in this instance) multiple timeschanging from CUDA to Software Only Rendering based on a
Today a new version came out, release notes are here in this PDF:577.00-win10-win11-nsd-release-notes.pdf For those with the 5000 series cards, having issues, it might be worth trying this driver and advising if it corrected some/any of your issues. I noticed there was some nvenc encoder changes in the list, also Cudu and Open CL subsystem updates that may be relevent. I dont have a 5000 series card to test with or I would. 2.7.5 Behavior Change in NvEncCreateBitstreamBuffer API of Video Codec SDK In the NVIDIA driver, Release 415 and later, the behavior of the Video Codec SDK API (NvEncCreateBitstreamBuffer) has been changed to return NV_ENC_ERR_UNIMPLEMENTED instead of NV_ENC_SUCCESS when the encoder instance is configured to run in the motion estimationonly mode. As an indirect consequence of this change, the AppEncME sample application from the Video Codec SDK prior to SDK version 8.2.16 will crash due to a bug in the NvEncoder class.
Ayuda porfa.
Hello, I can't seem to find the answer to this problem and I'm really new at Premiere so I'm not sure how to navigate the program enough to word this question properly or figure it out myself. What's happening is whenever Premiere is open, no sound from other applications (even the master volume mixer) is coming through my default audio device (bluetooth Powerbeats3, I have tried other, wired headphones with the same results). All that comes through headphones with Premiere open is a strange popping/static sound. The only way I have found to restore audio back is by closing Premiere entirely. This is a problem when following tutorials on how to do something in Premiere because I have no audio. It is also a problem when I am primarily editing clips with no sound. It would be nice to be able to listen to Spotify while editing in After Effects and cutting in Premiere. It's really a huge time-waster having to close Premiere every time I switch back to editing in After Effects just to listen t
I am still fairly new to use Permiere Pro but I have created several video projects in the last year and a half. I have muddled along and been able to create videos for personal use but I am definitely not yet a pro. Well, this evening I had been editing a 1 hour long video and had edited down to just about 45 minutes. All had been going well. No problems with clipping or deleting small parts of the video with the connected audio. I was almost done with the editing as I was working on this project tonight when suddenly I could not hear the audio in the playback. I must have hit some button or clicked on something but I have no idea what it might have been. I had been using my space bar to move through the timeline and was using "L" to go through it quickly for the ensure all was done correctly. Again, all was going well when I just all of a sudden could not hear the audio in the playback. I closed the project without saving&nb
Hi everyone! When I use Premiere, it disables the audio on my system. That means I can’t play anything on YouTube with sound, and other applications won’t play audio as long as Premiere is open. Does anyone know how to fix this? I’m on a Mac. Here's some data from my computer: Premiere 25.3.0 (build 84) MacOS Sequoia 15.5 (24F74)Chipset Apple M1 Pro 16 GB
Latest Version of Premiere 25OS: WindowsI am trying to import custom .kys settings from my desktop computer (windows 10) to my laptop (windows 11). The problems I am facing:1) I cannot find the keyboard settings folder under my %UserProfile%\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\25 - that folder does not exist on my laptop. 2) When I create a new custom .kys, it is not saving anywhere. I have searched for that file, but it does not appear anywhere. Why would Premiere be behaving so differently? I have reset preferences, reset computer. I have not fully reinstalled premiere, but maybe I should? It's just strange that those folders were never created under my userprofile on this computer, when they exist on the other. Thank you in advance.
Hi, I'm editing on a Mac with Premiere Pro 2019 (but I tried and I get the same issue with Premiere Pro 2020). I'm working on a project for a video production company. 50% of the editing was done from somebody editing on a PC, then I took over the project with my MacOS (Mojave). I used his own Premiere Pro 2019 project file. The other editor kept telling me he felt my exports didn't look as good as his. We made sure we were using the same editing and exporting settings. Then he sent me a comparison of one of his exports vs one of mine. There was a clear difference between the opacity of a green stripe in his export (darker and the constancy of the opacity looks better) and mine. But the problem didn't seem to be with the exports settings, because the green stripe looked the same in my timeline preview as it did in my exports. I then thought about changing the preview renderer : when I put it in SOFTWARE ONLY mode instead of GPU ACCELERATION mode, the green stripe looks exactl
I have linked a screenshot as refference but first I want to explain what I am not able to do. In the transfrom effect when I zoom from 100 to 150 %, below there is a section with dot slider called "toggle automatic range recaling". The values are set to negative -200 and positive 200: like this -200 x 200 I want to set it to positive x positive like this: 200 x 200 but I am not able to find a way. This is a screenshot link https://ibb.co/DDgQzHb0
I've just installed Premiere Pro on my computer but when I try to open the program I get an error message saying: "Adobe Premiere Pro.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". I've got a PC running on Windows 11 Pro.Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10500 CPU @ 3.10GHz (3.10 GHz)64-bit versionGraphic: Intel UHD Graphics 630, version 31.0.101.2135 (Latest update)Memory: 8 GB RAM I've tried to re-install, I've tried to run PP as administrator, I've tried to reset preferences but nothing seems to work. Sidenote: I installed InDesign the other day and that works just fine. Would really appreciate some help 🙂 Thanks, Jakob
Hello everyone, I hope this is the right place to ask this technical question. I'm developing a adobe premiere pro plugin with UXP. I understand it's in beta but hope I get some light on my issue. I can't get my panel icons to display. The panel shows a default/blank icon instead of my custom icons. What I've tried:1. Following Adobe's icon documentation with proper naming convention (icons/plugin-icon.png in manifest,icons/plugin-icon@1x.png and icons/plugin-icon@2x.png as files)2. Using both 23x23 (panel icons) and 48x48 (plugin icons) sizes3. Testing with different paths and filenames4. Verifying icons are correctly copied to dist folder when building my plugin Environment: My manifest.json structure: { "version": "0.7.17", "main": "index.html", "manifestVersion": 5, "host": [ { "app": "premierepro", "minVersion": "25.3.0" } ], "entrypoints": [ { "type": "panel", "id": "apps", "icons": [
When I try to use the effect Corner Pin it shows this error message: Even though I am not even close to 30,000 pixels in either dimension, here are my dimensions:Why does it do that? and it's really awful when it happens because it freezes premiere and sometimes it makes my entire computer really slow and there's nothing I can do about it.
Hello Adobe Community,I’m writing this post out of sheer frustration and to hopefully get some constructive guidance. I recently worked on a project for a client who provided HDR footage (iPhone HEVC, Rec. 2020 Hybrid Log Gamma). Despite spending countless hours troubleshooting, the project ended up getting canceled because the rendered videos always looked different from the source. Here's what happened:The Problem:Mismatch Between Source and Exported Colors:My source footage looked fine in VLC but was oversaturated or weirdly mapped in Premiere Pro.I tried changing the project settings to every combination: Rec. 2020 HLG, Rec. 2100 HLG, Rec. 709, etc., but the exported video always had mismatched colors compared to the source.Rendered Video Looked Different in Players:The exported HEVC video appeared oversaturated or flat in VLC but looked closer to the source in PotPlayer.Even H.264 exports, while closer in color, were blurry and lacked the source quality.Client Rejected the Final Ou
