Why can't I add borders and shadows to graphic files (such as logos) in advanced graphics like I do with fonts? This was possible in older versions.

I've spent 3 days going through about 10 hours of interviews cutting and color-labeling sound bites in multicam sequences to correspond with chapters/subjects of the film I'm working on and this morning, when I opened my project, every sequence has reverted back to its original color. All of my labels are gone.I've tried restarting the project, I've tried toggling on the "show source clip name and label" , I've tried copying and pasting footage into a new sequence, which were all suggested on another post about this problem and none of these worked.Has anyone discovered a solution for this? I feel sick at the thought of going back through for another couple of days relabeling everything...(Premiere Pro 25, windows 11, 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12650H (2.70 GHz, 16GB RAM)ETA: I also went back to my last autosave from yesterday and the labels were in tact. I saved the file with a new name and with the file open, it reverted the colors back to default on most of the sequences.

I have a very specific workflow that really drags down Premiere, and I’m wondering if anyone else works the same way and has come up with a speedy workflow.I shoot mostly interviews on green screen using three cameras. When I go to edit, I composite each angle over the background, and then create a multi-cam sequence that contains each angle so I can “switch” between angles during the interview.This really bogs down Premiere. I have to hit “play” multiple times for it to start playing. If I have to adjust a cut, it takes forever, and then try to start playing again can take 10-45 seconds for the sequence to begin playing again. I have an otherwise fast machine. I’ve tried turning off FX while editing. This makes little difference because what seems to be happening is that Premiere is still factoring in the composited version in the background. I create subtitles and save the preset as a style. Other properties apply to all subtitles on the track when I click ‘redefine style’. But when I move the position of the subtitles with the controls under ‘align and transform’, the position doesn’t apply to any other subtitles on the track, so I am having to manually move each subtitle which takes a very long time! I can’t find another way to apply the position to all subtitles at once.   Hey there!   I cannot for the life of me figure this out and I have scoured the preferences, settings and all the adobe forums looking for an answer, perhaps someone here knows the trick!   Formerly, I used to be able to zoom in and out of the timeline using Option+Mouse Scroll just fine. If I zoomed out all the way, the timeline would stay in a maximum-zoomed-out state. This was great because I could quickly zoom all the way out to the timeline with a quick scroll of the mouse and then navigate from there.   Now, all of a sudden, when I scroll zoom-out too quickly, it's as if the timeline gets to max zoom-out and then zooms right back in to Maximum zoom-in (Sorry for all the zooms!). This causes a infinte zoom out cycle. I'm not sure if this is a setting, a bug or something to do with my computer, but it doesn't seem to happen on every computer, nor does it happen on every project as far as I can tell!   Just wondering if anyone has seen this or knows whats

Dear allI have used video from an ipad, the video looks fine in the preview, when i export, i have the audio but a blank screen. After much co piloting it suggested the problem may be the source video and a variable frame rate. Dose anyone have any idea?  I am in the process of converting the video to CFR with handbrake, I lost a whole day yesterday thinking I could resolve this 🙄 Any ideas?

Why is it so fiddly to ask a question? I’m sure it never used to be this fiddly.That aside.I have a sequence after importing some 1920 x 1080 video files, I want to import some jpg images as stills for several seconds, they are 6720 x 4480, how can I import and keep the same dimensions as the originally imported videos?

After finding the pen masking tool, I tried creating a shape, but no visible indication. So I created a rectangle, which I have no indication is there other than I can move an invisible mask with no borders. My simple question is, how do I get the border of my mask to show?

I am color correcting individual clips to send to other editors. The source timecode is never included in the clips I am exporting as ProRes files despite having Metadata embedded and the source metadata set to “Preserve all.” Does anyone have an idea of how I can export the clips I color corrected as ProRes422 files which retain the source timecode (e.g. 16;56;54;25)? Every clip I export starts at “0.” For clarification, these clips have the exact same duration as their source because nothing about them is altered except for the color correction.I want to export otherwise identical clips with the source timecode I gave using my tentacle sync.

I was experiencing dips and hollowness after cuts here and there, then i found that checking off the auto-tag fixed my issue. it seems like AI was trying to decide which audio track was voice or music/sound. since i had a specific recording that had a lot mixed together it made every time i cut warbly sound. I hate AI and i wish i could turn it off. 

I've been noticing several issues since upgrading to the latest mac OS, Tahoe 26.0. Aside from general bugs (timeline unresponsive to hitting spacebar/play, shutting down unexpectedly, general lagging), the biggest issue is I am unable to export my timeline. Both the keyboard shortcut, File > Export > Media, and the selecting Export option at the top of the program screen do not bring me to the Export menu. It only works when selecting File > Export > Send to Adobe Media Encoder. 

I made the mistake of upgrading my Mac Studio to MacOS Tahoe, and now Premiere is practically impossible to use. Playback is choppy with the program choking on any timeline with more than one clip / effect, and simple edits have crazy input lag. I know how to revert back to Sequioa, but I don't have a Time Machine backup before Tahoe so it seems pointless. Based on last year's Sequioa release, does anyone have an idea of when Adobe would release a patch to support the new MacOS? Will it be this year since they normally only release 5-6 updates and we're already at 25.5? Anyone else struggling with this and found any workarounds? DON'T UPDATE YET IF YOU HAVEN'T

Tried using shorter clips, selecting channels, raising/lowering audio levels… still not working. What’s up? 

I’ve reported this before, many years ago, but it's still there, so here goes:I have some video on tracks 1 and 2.I want to move the location of the clip on track 1.I switch off “Enable” on the topmost video layer (track 2) so I can see the video on track 1 below it.I double-click in the Program monitor and move/scale the clip...but what’s this nonsense? I’ve just moved/scaled the “disabled” clip on track 2, even though it’s invisible!OK - let’s try something else - I turn off the visibility of Video track 2 in its entirety (click the eyeball in the timeline), and try again….what is this?! I am moving the invisible clip again! Obviously, if I disable a clip (and it rightly becomes invisible in the Program monitor) I should not be able to select or transform it in any way. But his bug (that has been around for years) means that I will inadvertently move the wrong clip. The only way around this is to LOCK the topmost track as well as making the clip invisible. Silly.

When I apply an audio transition, it defaults to the fade shape Cosine @ 19 fade value.Is there a setting to have it default to Linear @ 0 ?

Hi!as title says: In Premiere Pro (not beta) comments made by client are not shown with time code. Instead you see many NaN:NaN:NaN:NaNWhen I want to see Sesame Street I will join my kids. But in Premiere I need the time code! This is the base reason why I use (and now even pay for 4K) frame.io.And: Premiere Pro BETA works!!! Just normal Premiere doesnt work. Should this not be the other way around? How can I fix this?Thanks in advance!

I have a Windows 10 computer. I lost my Premiere version 22.6.2 In Creative Cloud there is no option when I click on the little 3 dots to use an earlier version. HELP I am stuck! What am I paying Adobe for if I can’t use the versions that are compatible with my computer?

I am developing a custom UI panel for Premiere Pro using UXP Developer Tools.  I have the following questions:  - Is it supported to apply a preset (.prfpset) by clicking an item (image) in a custom UI panel?  - Do standard users have the permission to perform this action via UXP?  ### What I have tried (briefly)- Displayed preview images in the panel  - Attempted to apply presets using ExtendScript via CSInterface.evalScript()  - Also tried applying presets via drag-and-drop  Currently, clicking does not apply the preset reliably within UXP.  I would greatly appreciate any insights, guidance, or workarounds from Adobe engineers or experienced developers.

While migrating from CEP to UXP, I noticed that the Time object available in CEP does not appear to exist in UXP.In CEP, I used Time.getFormatted() to retrieve the current sequence In/Out points as formatted text. For example, I could easily convert time values into display strings using that API.However, in UXP, the Time object does not seem to be available, so I can no longer use Time.getFormatted().I would like to ask: Is the Time object planned to be added to the UXP API in the future? If not, what is the recommended way in UXP to format sequence In/Out time values into text (e.g., timecode format)? Currently, this functionality is missing compared to CEP, and I’m looking for the correct replacement approach in UXP.

I left a project exporting last night, and came in this morning and the project had crashed.  When I try to reopen any of the multiple projects in this folder - they all "get stuck" on the "Open Project" screen.  If I make a new project in this folder, it opens, works, and has no issues.   The error seems to be associated with just this project.  When I hit cancel or close the loading window, the program goes white screen and crashes.  I get no error codes.This is a multi project project.  I have been working on it for over a year without issues.  I had opened multiple projects to move items around before I left it to export.  But as best I could tell everything was working when I left it ot export.Here's what I have tried to fix it, none of these have worked:-Cleared the media cache.-opening it project manager.-importing the project into a newly created project.-importing it in as a sequence-tried using project manager to import-went throug

Hi all...Is the following a bug in version 25.3.0? I've placed markers throughout a sequence that is an interview. The markers note different sound bites. I find that when I have the markers panel open and when I click on a marker to go to that part of the interview, then Premiere Pro will take me to that location in the timeline. BUT once I hit the space-bar to play, the playhead indicator jumps to the spot I last played in the timeline before I clicked on the marker (in the marker panel) to go elsewhere. I do not have any mark in's or out's in this sequence. Looping is turned off. This happens all the time and it's really annoying because it basically means I can’t play at the markers that I’ve placed. Has anyone else come across this? Is there a setting I should have off or on? Advice appreciated. Thank you.  

Hi after updating to Premiere Pro 25 I cannot switch out of Software enconding, it is greyed out saying: "Hardware encoding is unavailable, please make sure this system meets hardware and minimum OS requirements for this funcionality"  I am running a GeForce RTX 3070 with the latest Nvidia Studio Drivers (576.02)with AMD Ryzen 9 5900x64 RAM andWindows 11 Pro I have tried everything Reinstalling Premiere Pro, purging the driver with DDU, running Premiere Pro as admin, forcing CUDA through NVIDIA drivers, changing settings in Premiere Console with no success. And it's the same story in AME.   Any other suggestions?

Just opened Premiere to edit a video and the beginning of one of my clips is slowed down or delayed (whichever you call it), which isn't the case in the video file on VLC or the YouTube video I downloaded it from. I did not slow it down myself, that's the raw clip. It's only the beginning of the clip that's slowed down/delayed, the rest of the clip is fine. Win 11 25H2, Premiere Pro 26.0.
