On my Mac book pro the premiere pro shortcut has recently disappeared after an update, its not in my dock, app launcher or on my desktop, but my other apps like after effects and photoshop are still there. The only way to access premiere pro now is going through creative cloud which is annoying.Is there a way to get the application shortcut back in my dock or on my desktop? I’ve tried dragging the app from creative cloud and uninstalling and reinstalling the app but none of these worked

What's new in this version and is it safe to update to it? I haven't found any information about what this version contains, whether it's improvements or new features.

I recently started working on a new video, editing it in Adobe Premiere Pro. I’m using Helios 300 2019 model (PH315-52-78VL), I7 9750H, GTX 1660Ti, 16GB DDR4 ram. I have been using Premiere Pro since Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 in my PC (not laptop). Up to Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019 I didn’t encounter any rendering issues & CPU usage (and in between GPU usage as well) used to be very high (40% - 100%) during rendering (even in laptop, no issues). However, my recent project (in laptop) & I think my first project in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2020 is rendering very slow, same is the issue with rendering previews. I noticed CPU usage is very low (max 24%) and GPU is barely ever used. I’m using CUDA for rendering engine (I tried openCL & Software only as well). I have tried several tutorials on this and tried several optimisation settings, even tried rendering in Adobe Media Encoder CC 2020 with different settings but none helped fix the problem. Crop masking is missing in Adobe Premiere Pro 26. It's nice that cropping has been built into the clips in this version and the object masking is nice but I don't like how difficult it is to crop backgrounds in a variety of shapes. I would love to see the masking option returned to the cropping section instead of having to take three extra steps for every clip I want to custom crop in version 26. I'm going back to version 22 until this gets fixed.

The Creative Cloud app only offers the latest and previous versions, and the support chatbot keeps redirecting me to those.I really need version 23.6.8 for compatibility reasons with ongoing projects. In this mode, the program does not respond to commands, and the mouse and keyboard do not work. At the same time, the processor, disk, and card load is 2%. When switching to Icon Views mode, the problem disappears. Problem on all versions 23-24 in different versions of drivers and Windows operating system.Materials from different cameras and different formats. “this project was saved from a previous version of adobe premiere pro and must be converted” even though I saved it yesterday, yet, I have other projects that still open with no problem and this seems to happen in random situations. How is it than a file older than a year still opens but a saved file I did a few days ago must be converted, and opens another premiere (One says “Adobe Premiere” another says “Adobe Premiere 2025”) and in “Adobe Premiere” I can’t use a mask on Opacity?!?!?!It’s extremely annoying.

Everything was fine then all of a sudden I loaded and all the footage in the preview is all just white/black pixelated.  If I render out the footage it is all a mess.  It seems to play fine when I hit space bar in premiere but when stopped the white / black screen is there.

An Adobe please publish the official release notes to each version already?26.0.2 - no release notes anywhere. And my IT department asks why they should update my current version (26.0.1) and I cannot answer, why, because I don’t know. I think not releasing the patch notes for every software version is a very deep and sincere disrespect towards the users.

After Effects Clips werden von jetzt auf gleich mit Media PEdning und im wechsel als MEdia offline anzeigt. Dann gibt es einen Blackscreen es komt nur noch Ton. Da hilft dann nur noch ein Neustratr und das ganze wiederholt sich. Gilt für alle Projekte.Neuinstallation/ Neustart/ Chache lösche/ CPU rendering Optioneveränderungen haben kleinen Unterschied gemacht. Hello.I’m using Premiere 26.0.2 on Mac OS 15.7.4I like to check clip(s) duration in the timeline with the info tab. I discovered today that Premiere interprets still images with the wrong FPS and that it affects the duration info.For instance, in a 23,976 fps timeline, a png file is tagged 25fps in the info window. The duration that is shown is not correct.I don’t know if it’s a known issue.Thanks!Max

I know I am doing something wrong here (I am fairly new to this), but I don’t know what. I am frequently editing +1-hour videos containing speech by several individuals and groups. The raw material I get often contain multiple individuals speaking at wildly different intensity levels (men, women, big vs. tiny voices etc.) plus other individuals scattered across a big room, again, speaking at different levels, al interspersed with laughter, clapping of hands and sudden outbursts of enthusiasm that send my levels deep into the red.I have tried to normalize these audio tracks using different functions of Premiere, but nothing produced an actually normalized audio track, e.g. one with a single mostly consistent level. While getting somewhat attenuated, the level usually retains its wildly different sections and I have to compartmentalize individual sections and reduce/increase their levels by hand.What am I doing wrong? All of a sudden, I am having issues with adobe Premiere Pro not automatically rendering effects or color corrections for clips in my timeline. In order for me to see the effect I applied or desired color correction that I applied, I need to manually go to “Sequence/Render Effects In To Out,” in order to see the effects in the Program monitor. For example: I have a clip a person in front of a green screen. Even after using ultra key to key out the green, the program monitor still shows the green screen. If I export the premiere pro project file, it exports properly, without the greenscreen showing (with the green keyed out).  I’m essentially editing blind when it comes to effects and color corrections. Premiere Pro is adding the effects but it is just not displaying them in the program monitor. Hoping someone can help me diagnose this because I’m suddenly dead in the water on an important project. Premiere had been feeling increasingly sluggish over the last few days, but now it has escalated to the point where the project is basically unusable. Here’s exactly what’s happening:  I reboot the Mac fresh No other meaningful programs running Open only Premiere Open this one project I do literally nothing — don’t touch timeline, don’t scrub, don’t hit play, don’t open sequences Within moments, memory pressure goes from green → yellow → red Premiere memory usage climbs absurdly high (I captured it at 105 GB) Swap shoots up massively Premiere then crashes, or the whole app becomes unresponsive and macOS shows it as “Paused” in Force Quit   If I actually try to edit, it gets worse even faster. Important detail: the moment I quit Premiere, the system immediately returns to normal memory behavior, so this appears isolated to Premiere / this project.  What I’m seeing in

Hi Folks,Would someone be able to explain me how would I achieve this effect/feature/edit in an image using Adobe Premiere?Please do not suggest photoshop. I work only with Premiere and sometimes Adobe express (I couldn’t achieve this). The white part at the bottom has a stretched feather that leads to the top image making it partly blurry. 

I found an issue with the latest update of Premiere pro.The WAV Files doesn’t seems to play correctly, everytime this happen, I have to restart the application. I’m uploading a recording. I’m in a new Macbook pro m4, with a fresh installation of Adobe Cloud, so it’s not a Hardware issue.

I drag a video to the timeline, cut it into individual clips and change the label color of that clip, but it changes the whole file. The same occurs when I rename just one clip. It changes it all. 

I’ve created shortcuts to toggle my target video tracks. But when I press them, the selected video track flickers on or off and goes back to its original position, never staying in the desired position.  I’m working on a Mac Studio 2023 (OS 14.5) in Premiere 26.0.1

I have a brand new MacBook Pro M4, 48GB Memory, Sequoia 15.6.1 and am using the latest Premiere Pro 2025, and still it keeps happening that quite often I have the Timeline selected and the focus jumps from the Timeline to the Source or Program monitor without me doing anything. The other thing is that when I select an item on the Timeline to work on it in the Program monitor, it often automatically jumps to a different item than the one I've just selected. Not sure if the two issues are interconnected but any help would be appreciated. I have a tourbox device and want to have horizontal zoom in/out of the current sequence always assigned and available to one of the wheels on it. Unfortunately, any time another panel has focus, the wheel changes to zooming the program or even the effects control panel. If I preface the command with the F3 key to force focus back on the timeline, it “works”, but if multiple sequences are open, and it alread has focus, it toggles to another sequence instead because of the poor decision to double up that mapping of F3 (both focus and cycle through open sequences).  This seems like the most elementary function, but is seemingly impossible to accomplish. 

Newbie!!!!I'm receiving the error message Sequence Settings Mismatch in Premiere Elements 2026 as I start working on a video a friend sent me. Most of the articles/videos I find about the best way to fix it only apply to Pro, not Elements. Any suggestions?

When I open Premiere Pro it says that the media cache can't be found as it was returned to its original place. Then, when I try to open up my recent project, which I could open up the night before, it says unknown error and can’t open it. I don’t know if this is because when I was saving it, it said it couldn’t be saved as I didn’t have access to (even though I did previously), so I had to try to save it to a different location. I also just updated my computer yesterday, but I opened up the project after that to make sure everything was fine, and it was. It’s just that today it's been unopenable. 

I am working on a Motion Graphics template for my school, which will allow them to highlight the name. of a person speaking out of a list of speakers for a podcast segment we are creating. Currently, I have a fully fleshed-out MOGRT that can switch between speakers, and plays a small animation to transition between them.However, upon reentry to Premiere Pro, I discovered that the properties of a .mogrt are static once created.Splicing multiple clips together where the setting is simply altered is not really possible, given how I programmed the .mogrt (yes, it took coding in JS to function), and also would be way more time consuming for my editors.If there is some hack to get this to work, I would appreciate any advice!Speaker Control is what needs to change, that value changing triggers an animation to switch to the highlighted speaker.It is possible to just simply take my system and make a pre-rendered version where my editors tell me the timecodes they need, and I do it in-house. Hi, I have the latest updated version of Adobe Premiere Pro and I’ve run into a problem. The keyframes for the Mask tool don’t work at all. The AI Mask tool also doesn’t work and seems to have broken the entire masking functionality. I can’t even create a simple hand-animated mask.Because of this, I’m unable to animate mask movement, which is seriously slowing down my workflow.What could be causing this issue, and how can I fix it?
