Hey there,I am dumbfounded, so one day ago, my premiere pro decided that it no longer likes hardware encoding and my encoding randomly stops at random %'es and doesn't move.I tried encoding older projects that were encoding fine a week ago and same results.Software encoding works but it takes so long so I am here looking for a solution after exhausting these:Cleared the cache,Uninstalled, reinstalled premiere proTried doing it with media encoderDrive has more than enough space so that shouldn't be a problemGraphics drivers are up to date.My system:intel i5-1340032 Gb ramIntel b580Video info30 fps1080pH.264 formatNo effects or stuff used, just some crop and zoom and a bit of pics.
Hi, I can't find anything online about this problem I have. Everytime I start Premiere Pro, after a minute or so the timeline stops working and so I close the app and try to open my windows 11 start menu to try and open the app, but the start menu will not open, as well as the windows search. I have opened task manager and attempted to close everything to do with adobe running in the background, everything closes BUT Premiere Pro, and it wont let me close it. I have a shortcut for Creative Cloud on my desktop which lets me open Premiere Pro, but after a few seconds the timeline stops working and my start menu still does not work. If I restart my computer everything is back to normal until I open premiere pro again. I have looked and my laptop says it does not need any updates. Please help me figure this out, its very odd and very annoying.

Recently updated to Premiere 25.2.3 (from 25.1), and now the MOGRTs in my sequences are acting strange. When I highlight some MOGRTs and open the properties panel, the text displayed is shown from a completely different MOGRT in a different sequence. When I make edits, it effects the other MOGRT too. I am unable to edit the MOGRTS in some of my sequences, because they are just referencing others. You can see in the screenshot that the MOGRT properties don't match the MOGRT on in the program window. Using Mac OS Sonoma 14.7.4
Hello,My 1st post. Does anyone know how I can stop these errors appearing while trying to export/encode my projects on prem pro?Today's failure happened around 75% (12gb of 17gb) and after 18+hrs of encoding, with the following error "A font that is required for this export has changed, please restart export" Otherwise can anyone suggest a alternative windows based application to Prem Pro, as this is the 4th instant now, of this type of font based error occuring at a late stage of the encoding process, as its infurating!
Having the same issue with stuttering upon moving footage to timeline or attempting to play through sections. Not using overtly large files. Tried using footage stored both on the SSD or good old spinny disc backup boi with no changes. Rolling back to an older version to see if that helps. New to the adobe world and video editing as a whole but After Effects works like a dream (To the extent I am able to utilize it) but I had always assumed that would be the laggy one. Specs: Windows 11Intel i9 -13900Nvidia RTX 4500 ada x2Samsung 9100 PRO 4TB SSDWestern Digital Black 10TB HDD128 GB DDR5 RAM Side note. I do use this PC for development also but on a separate boot system (Second Samsung SSD partitioned for Ubuntu and another install of Windows 11) I doubt that it would influence anything but maybe?
I have a "master" project which works as a template for my team, with a few sequences and shared assets on a shared server.I update this template monthly, updating the destination folder for every sequence (6 destinations for 8 sequences). This process is quite time consuming and prone to error. This project is then shared with 4 workstation, each of which has 3 different user profiles. Is there a 'smarter' way to update this template? Can I, for example, copy the destinations, presets files folder from one workstation's profile to all the others?I had a look at Productions but it seems to be more for collaborative projects, non sure it would fit this purpose. Thanks!
Premiere Pro v. 25.2.3(Build 4)Apple MacBook Pro M1 After wrestling with horrible UI lag, I rebooted my Macbook and reopened Premiere. It's sitting at the 'welcome' screen with no project open, doing absolutely nothing of importance while running the CPU at 100% for over 15 minutes and counting. Can anyone explain?
When creating captions in Premiere Pro (Mac), any numeric content followed or preceded by symbols like %, -, or / gets automatically flipped. For example:Typing 90% displays as %90Typing 2023-24 shows as 24-2023This only happens in captions/subtitles, not in Essential Graphics. It appears that the subtitle text renderer is interpreting the numbers as Right-to-Left (RTL) even when the rest of the text is in English and the language direction is set to LTR. Adding a space (e.g., 90 %) avoids the bug, but it's not a proper fix. This issue breaks subtitle accuracy and readability, especially for percentages, dates, and data.Platform details:Premiere Pro version: [25]macOS version: [15.3.2 (24D81)Affects both open captions and subtitle formats (SRT, etc.)Please fix this by forcing captions to honor LTR rendering for numeric sequences or offering a proper control to set text direction in captions.
I'm trying to import a multicam clip into Adobe Premiere Pro using an XML file. However, when I do this, Premiere Pro treats the multicam clip as a regular sequence rather than recognizing it as a multicam setup. Is it possible to import a proper multicam sequence using XML? Or is this a limitation of the FCP XML format?Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I'm trying to upload a corrected transcript file to PR in order to create both a .scc and .srt file for captions. I have a .doc file, with timecodes matching the video. Adobe rep told me to convert to .txt file, but can't get the file to import. Right now, I'm having to correct the AI transcript line by line to match the corrected file, which is taking an absurdly long time. I know this question has come up a lot in the past, was hoping maybe Adobe has figured it out - any insights on this one?
Whenever I try to save a video to my iphone from Dropbox i get this error message. "Sorry this video cannot be saved to this device"It's just some 20-40s clips each under 100mg from footage I captured on my iPhone that I edited in Premeire ProI exported the videos from Premiere Pro using H.264 with the Match Source - High Bitrate preset. I've tried all the things Dropbox reccomends, is this a Premiere isssue?
Believe this issue must have something to do with the nested sequence not matching the timeline sequence, but I haven't run into this issue before... In my project I have nested a clip in my sequence to do some basic rotoscoping, I've replace the photo in the frame with a JPEG:This nest was originally created for 1920x1080 (16x9) timeline, but the client has also asked for several other versions including a vertical edit, so I'm exporting a 607 x 1080 (~9x16) version here:In my 607x1080 timline the nest looks perfect, but when I export it the JPEG slipsThe work around is to simply render out the sequemce inside the nested clip, which is okay but I want to know why this is happening - any ideas? A few details:I'm working off a Mac M2 Max StudioI've used the following effects on the JPEG to get it to match:MotionCorner PinLumetri ColorGaussian Blur
This is one of the strangest bugs I've encountered in Premiere. I have an audio file which explains a crime case. At the start of the file it's describing a person and then at the end it's supposed to conclude the case, but at the end the audio returns to describing the person again, and it doesn't look like a glitch in the sense that the voiceover follows the audio waveform perfectly as though it was just recorded like that. I open the track in the Music app in Mac and it's entirely different (it's normal and plays as it's supposed to). I've tried re-exporting the track as a different file type, different quality, different name, different folder, everything I can think of. My last resort is to get back in touch with my client to reupload a new track but I'd like to solve it first if possible and just wondered if anyone's come across this before. Tldr; the track I'm trying to use is perfect and plays find in the Music app but as soon as it's in Premiere it's like it turns into a diffe
I wanted to use this motion template in my Premiere project where I already created some clips I like and now I want to add some essential graphics available in Premiere. I'm interested in this one with the circles and has underneath it say's the word "presents". Looks ok, not the greatest but I'm willing to use it, but I need to be able to change the text. There's an additional line of text in the middle of the circles that says "LOGOTYPE". the "presents underneath I was able to find and change the properties a little; I added a blue stroke to the text. I'll probably change the text too but I didn't mess with that yet cause I wanted to adjust properties for the first line of text that reads "LOGOTYPE". But I've been looking and looking and looking and can't seem to find that line of text in any of the panels that I see in the graphic. It's missing from the properties as something that can be adjusted. Now am I missing something or is there no way to change the li
Can anyone tell me how to remove the translucent V/A timing screen from my program sequence? I do not refer to it when I am assembling a video and it blocks my view of the captions.
Steps: Render comp from After EffectsBring .mov file into Premiere Pro... leave Premiere openMake a change to comp in AE and re-render over file Tab back to Premiere Pro and it refuses to play the file back and spits out hundreds of frame retrieval errors: I don't remeber when this change happened but I feel like Premeire Pro used to be able to refresh or reload changed files without having a heart attack in versions past. Workaround: unlink and relink the file or close and reopen premiere. Wish: Give us a "refresh file command" or maybe have some sort of file system notification system that so that Premiere can re-load the files without shooting out a bunch of silly irrelevant error codes. For example, In After Effects if you save over an .AI file in Illustrator and tab back to AE, it will usually scan the layers for changes and apply.
So my automatic generated captions stopped displaying also in old projects without me changing any settings. I already tried reinstalling and downgrading several times but nothing seems to help, been on this problem for the last 4 hours maybe anyone has some ideas. It feels like the bug occured after changing to 25. I also tried exporting and reimporting the captions nothing helps it seem like they are still there just not displayed in the preview or the exported file.
Hi,I work with a colleague who cuts on PP while I am on Avid (a hangover from past lives).Currently, we are working on a music documentary, and I have started. The thing is, I created proxies in Avid (Apple Pro-Res), and the way Avid does things it creates a separate video and audio file for each original file (the proxies generally share the same filename, though there is a signifier for one being video and the other audio), and while in Avid its architecture allows for the reading of both files at the same time. Not being an expert on all this, but I believe PP would have made a single file containing both video and audio. Ok, it is what it is. But if I pass the work over to my colleague (with an AAF file), then he says that PP cannot read/coordinate the two files produced in Avid now while it's in PP. How to solve this issue? Thank you,D.
Hello,I have noticed about an MP4 file that :1) If I play it from PP timeline, all is OK about video quality.2) If I go in PP export tab and choose "Match source adaptative high bitrate" and export it from PP (not by using Media encoder), the exported MP4 file has a very bad quality (pixelation). Why the export with PP is worst than the original ?
Deep in a Premiere project and I have been using nested sequences quite a bit. But I’m told that in order to mix it with Audition as well as export to Davinci (for color work), I need everything to be on one timeline. I don’t want to picture lock to achieve this.Wow, I’ve made really wise and good use of nesting. Now I need to undo it? It’s daunting as I look at my work.Am I missing something? Thank you.
