How can I move a video/audio clip left or right in the timeline, and move the audio keyframes with the audio? I have a short video clip with audio in my timeline. I used the (C) tool to trim the beginning and end of the clip to where I wanted it. Then I inserted audio keyframes to create very acruate audio fade-in and fade-out. Now, if I drag the video/audio clip to the right to add a couple seconds before this clip so I can insert a Title card... the audio keyframes do not "come with" the audio. They stay stuck in time/space.
After updating to the latest version of the Premiere Pro last week, everytime I am closing the project I now get a "Metadata. Metadata writing in progress (n files pending). If you quit before writing is complete, data will be lost. Are you sure you want to quit? Yes/No" error window. Please see a screenshoot attached for one of such errors. What is interesting, is that no matter how much time i give it the process is never complete.
My Independent documentary is now TWO YEARS in the editing bay! I'm not blaming Adobe entirely, but with all the updates and bugs and corrupt files and tons of drives plugged in, it's never ending! My Mac OS is updated, then 2022. becomes 2023 and must reload, now 2024 is winding down and MORE changes, bugs and workflows to change, adapt to, etc. I've worked with 4-editors, and a new problem pops up weekly. Has anyone else in here editing on 3/4, Betacam, mini-digital, DVC-pro and now chips? I have... and always mastered the craft, except for these past two years... and now Ai into play. Can anyone suggest a way to re organize my files (10tb) into photos, b-roll, archives, interviews etc without losing ones mind? It's probably too late anyway.
Do Macs just suck or is Premier just not working well with Mac. Upgrade from an old Mac to this 36GB M3 Max MacBook Pro and it still bogs down on one 4k video playback with Corner Pin enabled at 1/4 playback resolution. Like it can't get past it, fans start running wild and I cant adjust the corner pin as it takes about 10 seconds to load each adjustment. So annoying. I dont want to be told I need more RAM it's a CPU load and I dont want to be told that a certain codec or format might slow it down. Its a 5 second 4k piece of footage from a Sony a7s3 - it should not be sluggish on a $5000 2024 machine
Hi all, I've got a new 2023 MBP M3 Pro with 18 GB of memory. Currently running OS Sonoma 14.2.1 I'm a news cameraman and have to do fast 3/4 minute edits often with large amount of raw footage usually shot on a sony fx6 in 1080p. This isn't a new business to me and have never normally had problems with my previous macs (although this is my first 14 inch) I am having real issues even doing basic editing on PP 2024. The timeline lags if it plays at all, sometimes i just get a still frame in both the source and sequence preview windows. It is totally unworkable. When i first load a ton of footage into the project, the audio waveform generation goes on for ages and ages (I've no turned off the the auto generation). Have i bought a dud or is this one of premiere pro's frequent mysteries? On paper this laptop is way way more powerful than my old 15 inch machines. I am kind of lost at what to do... and getting to a situation where i'm goin
Hey all. I'm getting into keying things out. I have two files. One of them I managed to green screen myself out and then move that image to the right of the background seamlessly to give myself more space. In the second example, I couldn't figure out what i'd done to create the first effect. The desire here is to key myself out with the green screen and then move my visage + the mask over to another position in the larger image. I'm just not sure what I did. Did I create a second mask?
I am shooting with Sony alpha 6300 120fps.i don't know what but when I import the file in pro it shows the property of file as 30 fps. I am shooting in high definition but my videos are not clear in adobe pro. The movements are blurred. When I move forward frame by frame the ball in each frame is blurry. I don't know where is the issue ? Is it camera or adobe ?Help needed !
hi, im trying to download adobe premier pro from official site, but its said that my pc is to weak, don't meet the requirements. My specs are good enough and i have no idea why it appears + I updated the system to win 11 and it's still happening

In earlier Premiere versions, I could change the colors of specific clips in the timeline. In the latest version, all the clips in the timeline change. I need help figuring this out. Help! Thanks, Toad
Hello everyone, I'm looking for any advice how can I or do I even can, change primary volume levels in Source panel in audio. Every music, sound effect ect. is set for 0 db in scale and that for me is incredible loud, and of course I can drag it in timeline and adjust levels but it's too much for me when I have, let's say 100 music tracks to check only in few moments. I couldn't find any answear for my question in internet. HELP ME(and my ears)!
Hello!I am working for the first time in a premiere production and the playback is starting to slow down in my timelines. I have a project within the production with my footage and other projects with timelines that are referencing the media already. This is not the ideal situation as I naively thought I could get away without making proxies initally as the footage is only 1080p (also h.264, I am now learning a valuable lesson that h.264 is not a good codec for editing) but if I were to create proxies through premiere in the project containing my media, will this propogate through to the other timeline projects and I will be able to use the proxies there? On the premiere pro best practices pdf, I could only find information for this kind of situation where it says on page 42, "If you are working in a Production, create your proxy media before starting to edit with those clips." I didn't want to mess with my production in any way by going ahead and making proxies considering it
I having very poor (blurry) results when trying to edit Insta360 footage in Premiere Pro using the GoPro FX Reframe effect. The same footage in the Insta360 studio app looks fine. Any thoughts? Phil
HelloI have a 30 minute MOV file. The file is divided into several sections. The separate sections require lumetri color adjustment so as to create a consistent visual flow. The video shows that nothing is happening when I attempt to change the view with moving the slider. Let me know how to fix the application so that PP can respond in its usual fashion. Thankshttps://youtu.be/DFbtAwL3jTc
Hi All,I've seen similar threads but haven't found my answer yet. I'm a novice Premier user and basically only use it for simple color corrections and such, so please explain like I'm 5. Very recently my exported video files do not save any of the color changes I've made to the video. The saved Premier file looks fine and color changes are saved in that working file, but every single export contains just original video condition. This randomly started a couple weeks ago and I haven't been able to figure out what's changed. Any advice? Thanks!
I have some 120FPS footage going in a 24p timeline. Is it best to drag the 120FPS footage to the timline and set speed and duration to 40% (or whatever the appropriate setting is... Coffee hasn't kicked in yet)...Or is it better to select the footage in the bin and select Modify Footage and "interpret footage as 24fps"? I've seen conflicting YouTube videos on the topic and was curious what some "recognized experts" have to say on the topic.
Premiere Pro version 24.6.1 build 2OS Windows 11 10.0.22631 Build 22631 I'm stuck here, and I'm filming a project in 7 days that I'd like to use the osmo for, and hopefully use this computer for. For those not familar, the osmo 4k 120p setting actually spits out a 29.97 fps video instead of the regular 120p you'd expect from say a Sony FX3.Yesterday I was making a silly thing, a tiktok with a timelapse with some b-roll. At first I thought it was because of doing a timelapse and the slow motion footage on the same timeline, but in troubleshooting I've gone all the way down to just selecting 5 seconds of a clip and trying to export it. I'm an in house video/photo guy for a company and as such have a second editing rig that I use for their projects, very similar in specs and it works fine, scrubs fine, playback fine, export fine.Things I've tried / looked at:making sure my SSD isn't too fulluninstalling and reinstalling premierechecking to ensure the version of premiere that works on
Ever since the switch from Classic Titles to Modern Essential Graphics, I have not experienced this issue until recent releases of Premiere Pro. My Title Graphics are behaving like Classic Titles... When copying Sequences I now have graphic elements in the bin again that the sequences reference, I have to make a new intro elements, drop them on the copied sequences and then apply attributes... instead of the Graphic being a uniquely embeded copy of the original in each sequence... I'm sometimes cutting up one Show into upwards of 20 Routirnes, so this reversion of title behavior makes my workload expand again. Is there a way to get the Modern Graphics behavior back? Where by graphic elements are part of the sequence and when a copy of the sequence is made, they are unique to each sequence?
it has been months and this issue is still a MAJOR problem with no answers from adobe can anyone help?? Updated premiere to version 23.2.0 (build 69) and now when I try to render my computer just shuts off. I know most people are quick to blame the hardware but my system is build for editing and the thermal read outs are well within operating range, drivers are up to date, and i have 2 identical machines in my studio. The computer running the older version works just fine as im currently rendering a large project on it. My question is has anyone else run into this&
My video in premiere pro will not play. Video is visible in the videopanel, stepping through the video works, but when i press play or hit the spacebar, nothing is happening. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
Since the latest update. When I try to take a screenshot the whole program freezes up and requires me to restart. Initially I thought it concerned a conflict between windows explorer but have eliminated that as the problem.
Hi everyone. I wish the Adobe development team added a keyframe to adjust speed just like the other effects and change the old uncomfortable way to on the clip in the timeline, just like Adobe aftereffectsThank you
I used to write the clip name on the adjustment layer, which was very useful for the group when editing. Is this still possible?
