We just got a new PC with Premiere Pro 2025 Version 25.0.0 (Build 61).  When I import .mts files and drag them onto the timeline there is no audio track (on a known good file - checked in VLC).  We've got an older system with Version 24.6.1 (Build 2) that doesn't have any trouble with the same .mts file.   I was able to convert the file to .mp4 using VLC and edit the program successfully in 25.5.0, but that's time consuming.  Is there a way to get 25.0.0 to accept .mts files?   PC - Dell Precision 5860 Tower OS - Windows 11 Pro for Workstations, Version 24H2 Basic steps - Import known good .mts file, drag from bin to timeline Expected results - A video track AND an audio track

I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro version 26 and attempting to cut out a person using the Object Mask tool.I select the Object Mask tool, drag over the person in the Program Monitor, and Premiere correctly detects the subject. The mask then appears under Unassigned Masks.I drag that mask to Opacity, but instead of isolating the subject, I only see a white outline of the mask on a black background. The person is not cut out and there is no fill applied.I’ve also tried inverting the mask, but the result is the same—just the white outline with a black background.So far I haven’t seen other editors reporting this issue with the Object Mask workflow in version 26.What step might I be missing to properly isolate the subject?

When click shift + 3 always effect control just opend wherewher it was. Now it appears as a new window. It makes a lot of tabs and the shortcut useless

Hi There, (Kevin!)I am running a Mac Studio Ultra M1 - 64 gig ram, running off a Graid on 2K Arri .movs and switched to '25 and I can't hear the audio its dropping out so much. I am unable to edit. Its coming straight out the mac Studio speakers so no external complications. The audio that is dropping out is 48K 24 bit. I set the project setting to 32bit float, can I change the project audio setting back to 24 after I have ingested into '25?Can't find anywhere to do that...Any other suggestions - I have tried the obvious ones, ram, video playback quality,  render audio in timeline...emoji man shrugging...Rupert

Hello, I tried to contact the support team via mails but it is a epic fail… So I try on the community forums. I am running Windows 11 with last version of Premiere Pro v26, I got a Decklink 8K Pro G2 interface and a Blackmagic Video Assist HDR monitor. I have a project set up for HDR with correct settings, and I am using the "Bars and tone" generator to create a PQ color bars. The sequence settings in Color Management tab indicate "Direct PQ (HDR)" and I have mercury enabled and set to my Blackmagic Decklink 8K Pro to Color Gamut Rec.2020 PQ.When I display the generated bars it looks correct on the Vectorscope of the Lumetri Scopes (set to Rec.2100 PQ), but on the Vectorscope of the BlackMagic Video Assistm colors seems off (the Video Assist mention that it is receiving Rec.2020 - ST2084 (1000) signal from the HDMI. A close up of the Video Assist: Just for testing purpose, if I tried to add a "Full to legal 10 bits" effect on the color bars and the result on the Blackmagic Video Assist

Hi everyone, I am having troubles importing subtitles into Premiere, as italics disappears (it is visibile as <i></i> in Notepad and on subtitles softwares such as Subtitle Edit). If I re-enter it manually on Premiere, it works. I am following this procedure: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/working-with-captions.html and exporting my subtitles in Subtitle Edit as .srt with encoding UTF8 with boom. The weird thing is that some months ago I did the exact same thing (imported .srt into Premiere) and everything worked out, there were no issues with italics. Can anyone help me? Is it maybe due to a Premiere update or something?Thanks 

When I hit Shift+2 more than once in a row, Premiere starts flicking through previous clips in the Source Monitor. I want to disable this, and I’ve successfully done so in the past. Now, I can’t work out how to.Gemini tells me the function I need to disable is “Open Clips in Separate Tabs” but it’s consistently telling me the wrong places to find it. Does anybody know which I can find this option? (although knowing Gemini, it might be making the whole name up too) (for what it’s worth, I’ve double checked, and Source Monitor is definitely the only command mapped to Shift+2)

Hi,Whenever I try to save an effect preset and want to use it in effect settings, its not there. I think its bugged. How do I fix it??

Throughout the work day, there are always emails and messages to respond to along with my heavy use in Premiere. Whenever I need to respond to those types of communication, I’ll navigate away from the Premiere window, craft my message, send it off and then return to Premiere.Every single time, without fail, the clip I have selected, and was scrubbing through in the source monitor before sending the aforementioned message, becomes unresponsive for 4-5 seconds, the program monitor freezes or goes black and the timeline suffers a similar lag as I click the keybind to go to the next edit point. I’m just stuck there twiddling my thumbs waiting for premiere to respond.As long as I never navigate away from the Premiere window, this does not happen. I can switch between program and source scrubbing easily. I can queue up different files in the source monitor no problem. There is no lag whatsoever. This happens exclusively when I leave the premiere window to go to any other open application on

A strange, new-to-me audio artifact: Final export of straightforward master multicam sequence (includes dialog track, simple SFX, and music) via Media Encoder (as usual) kept resulting in files in which the dialogue was doubled – meaning it had a single echo, same amplitude as source. But none of the other audio clips were doubled, nor did it occur if I exported a brief section. It continued even after deleting renders and media cache. There are no submixes or other FX on clips or tracks. Finally, exporting directly from Premiere worked. So, seems like something in the ME pipeline? I obviously have a workaround this time, but need to solve this for the next project. This workflow and type of project is not new to me, but I suppose there are plenty of gotchas I wouldn’t know to look for. Thanks for any insights.

In the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro, there is an issue when placing keyframes. The last keyframe cannot be set on the final frame of the clip or timeline. Instead, one frame at the very end remains without a keyframe. To place a keyframe on the final frame, it is necessary to resize the interface and make the panels/windows extremely narrow. Hello,I'm having a bit of an issue with anchors points. I want to zoom in the corner of a video but with using an Adjustment Layer.Then I apply the Transform effect to the Adjustment Layer because I want the shutter angle property for a blur effect.But when I move the Anchor Point of the transform effect, it moves my whole video. Is there a way for it to not do that, the same it does when your just the Anchor Point of Motion part of the pannel?Thank you !

Hi everyone, So I've been recording my voice over's with no issue in Premiere Pro.... until now. It suddenly stopped working... it gives me the countdown and seems to be recording but when I stop it, there's no audio file on the timeline. Any clues on why this might be? I'm already checked System Preferences, Audio Hardware in Premiere's Preferences- both with computer audio and with an external microphone and nothing works. After reading forums for hours I decided to post in here in case anyone can help me... Very frustrating. Thanks in advanced everyone! 

I’ve got a project that on export is burning in captions despite setting it to just create a sidecar file. The odd thing is that I have another project from a week or so ago that is able to export properly without burnt in captions. The one that doesn’t work, the sequences have an AE file, it’s a full animation/motion graphics project. The captions are in a normal subtitle track. The project that doesn’t have issues exporting with a sidecar file, that’s got a video track with a ProRes master, some AE supers, and a normal subtitle track. I’ve tried saving an export preset from the project file that’s working, that didn’t work. For the life of me I can’t see a setting in the project or export options that would be forcing the subtitles. Same languages and font usage, nothing has changed in my approach to this new project that’s not exporting properly. I’ve also tried changing settings in ME but that doesn’t seem to solve the issue either. When I'm in the link media dialogue and click on a specific external hard drive and then click "search" it doesnt search that specific external hard drive, it starts searching my entire Macintosh HD. I dont remember this being the case in the past. can this be fixed?

I've seen a lot of articles discussing the best video, sequence & export settings to get that crystal clear resolution on Instagram, but none of them are consistent with each other lol. If I'm shooting video on an iPhone 13 or newer, is 4k at 30fps best? 4k at 60fps? or 1080 at 30fps? Should I be shooting HDR? It gives that weird bright look that also dims the screen which I don't like at all. What about the format? Most compatible? And then in terms of the sequence settings in premiere....I'm assuming 1080x1920? Do the sequence settings have to match the settings of the video I recorded? Or can they be slightly different? In terms of the export I get totally lost, I need to learn more about bit-rate anyway, but for codec I've heard adaptive medium bitrate at H.264 is best, but I'm not sure. What about CBR/VBR? Are the aspect ratios for stories and posts different? Do I need to shoot with a specific camera to get that better-than-eyesight look? What about using slow motio

Because my editing style involves a lot of animation, color work, and round-tripping between Premiere Pro and After Effects, I’ve been transcoding all my footage in Mezzanine files before editing.Right now my workflow looks like this:Record footage on camera (H.264 .MOV). Before importing into Premiere, I transcode everything in Adobe Media Encoder into mezzanine ProRes 422 files. >Important: I edit using those ProRes files and export clips to After Effects when needed and then back into premier as linked AE files. I have big project with some dupes in it. So when I try to use "Edit > Consolidate Duplicates" it does nothing. So I ended up cleaning all project to three clips that are linked to exact same raw footage, no proxies attached and I nothing else in project panel, just those three clips:Still "Consolidate Duplicates" does nothing. Maybe I should look for some other places where Premiere thinks that those are different clips? Any ideas?

Why does part of the audio track in a squence lose it’s quality within a sequence after I open it again in Adobe Premiere Pro? How do I resolve this issue? 

The original drive was named LaCie, as was the replacement drive (the system now sees the new drive as LaCIe 1). The new drive is APFS-formatted with a GUID Partition Map. It seems that I can save to a different folder, but I have no option for scratch disks other than the system drive, on which I’m storage space-challenged. Is there a way for me to update the existing app installations for permissions to reference the new drive?
