I've been trying to open Premiere Pro 25.5 on my 2023 MacBook Pro. Every time I open it, it freezes on the splash screen and stops responding and I have to force quit. I have updated it, reinstalled it, restarted my computer, updated my software, and nothings working. If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.  

I have a 45 min sequence, and need to export little 10-20 second sections from all over it as I work for review.  But when I choose to export In/Out - in either Premiere or AME - ALL the audio clips in the entire sequence need to be processed before the picture compression happens. - I can see .WAV files that only occur briefly, and 40 mins after the In/Outs I've marked, are getting processed in AME, which is more informative about what's going on in the processing than PP.   Why is this?

The Dust and Scratches Filter seems to have disappeared in Premiere Pro v 24.6.0.  I use this a lot in my work.  Has it been replaced by something else?

Tengo un problema con una edición de video en 4K en adobe premier pro 2025. Mi problema es que cuando edito, en momentos se silencia el audio sólo, más no la imagen en movimiento, eso sigue fluido sin corte. El problema es el audio que en momentos se silencia solo. Mi laptop es una Victus HP Gamer con procesador Ryzen 7, tarjeta gráfica GeForce RTX y 16 GB de RAM debería soportar sin problema la edición en 4K con Adobe Premiere Pro. Esta configuración es más que suficiente para manejar proyectos de alta resolución. He creado proxys, he bajado calidad desde configuración a "cuarto", elimine cache, y en momentos suele pasar el problema. El video de audio reproducido en otra vía esta bien. 

Hi everyone, I’m making a Premiere Pro UXP panel and I’d like to automate some cuts on the timeline. My workflow uses three clip markers: _RecStart (auto at the beginning)_ShotMark1 (marks end of a take)_ShotMark2 (marks a good take — keep the section between this marker and the previous _ShotMark1) What I want with one button “Cut Video”: 1. Look at all clip markers in the active sequence2. For every _ShotMark2, find the previous _ShotMark1.3. Keep only that take (between _ShotMark1 → _ShotMark2).4. Remove the other takes. My questions: What’s the proper way in UXP to read clip-instance markers (not sequence or source markers i was only able to read them)? Or maybe there is some workaround 

I continue to be stupefied by Adobe's lack of support. You can pay this company almost a $100/month and still get shafted. I just shot a 22-minute video and when importing, it shows up as 5 seconds. Yes. 5 seconds. I'm attempting to use HandBreak to solve this issue but to me this is just unacceptable, Adobe.   Moderator note: I branched your thread from a legacy post and placed it in the main forum. Adobe your handling of 4K H.264 is terrrible. Scrubing and playing stutters. Yes I know how to make a sequence that matches my footage. Proxies are a miserable waste of time and generally do not work well. I just found that free Davinci Resolve leaves you all in the dust. Timelines with H.264 - mixed frame rates etc. like butter. Also PP trim mode isn't ready for primetime by a long shot. Do better or like the Fleetwood Mac song "... been there one time, been there two times, never going back again." I don't need the aggravation and hours of fruitless extra work.  Please note I have a smoking hot Mac Studio fully decked out. Mes utilisateurs se plaignent de ne pas pouvoir faire du speech to text car le pack langue ne s'installe pas sur les machines avec Lic FRL. J'ai cherché à l'installer à la main, mais je ne trouve pas le dossier dans lequel je pourrais copier le pack, (librairie mac hd). Sauriez-vous me dire si cette fonctionnalité est disponible sous ces licences de groupes ? Merci bcp pour cette info.

Not sure what's wrong with my setup but when i double click any image in my timeline, it shows up cropped in my Source Monitor. I've never seen this happen before, is this normal? How can I make sure that when I double click my images in the timeline, they show up in the source monitor fitted into the frame instead of cropped off? 

hello, I always get media stuck on pending, it never loads. I cannot make the clip offline and I cannot click relink? Have tired:- restarting premire- restaring computer- clearing cache- resetting preferences - enable/disable timelines

After the automtic update to Premiere 25.5, the program will not start and Windows error 0xc0000142 suggesting a missing dll. I have rolled back to 25.41 and 25.4. Same error both times. Any idea how far I might need to roll back to get it t work again?

Is there a way to route all video channels to a bus like in Audition? and then fade them all from there?I have a video with 3 video channels overlapping.  2 of the channels have an alpha channel (obviously) so the bottom channel can be seen through them - other top layers are logos. When I manually fade each channel out you see that they are different layers when they become transparent - it looks really bad. I want them as 1 layer and the whole scene to be completely faded equally.The only way so far I know to achieve this is to remove the fades, export the video, then re import it and apply the fade.  There HAS to be a better way to do this! please tell there is...

What technique is this? After noticing that my exports were coming out a tad too bright, I started exporting using the QT Gamma Compensation LUT again. I exported and entire feature length documentary recently, which a company is currently prepping for all major platforms. When I initially sent them the file, one of the producers checked it for me (I didn't have time), and said it looked great. However, I just discovered that much of the documentary, which was graded by a professional colorist, is noticeable dark now. I'm sooooo bummed... The results are identical on both the Prores 4444 and the H264 masters.Can anyone help me understand when and when NOT to use the QT Gamma Compensation LUT? I could really use a solid (do it this way, don't do it that way) for future exports so I can avoid these issues?

Hey All,I have seen this issue posted by a couple people but it doesn't seem like anyone has a solution.I am having a slight but very noticeable magenta shift when I playback in premiere.  While subtle, it makes it almost impossible to color correct and grade because once you think you have your color dialed in it will change as soon as you hit play and then change back when you hit pause.So far this problem is occurring with Prores, DNxHR and Cineform files that I know of. I transcoded some files to H.264 and they appear to be unaffected by this bug along with AVCHD files.  I am using the latest 2017 version of Premiere and there is no change to the issue if I switch between GPU and software video rendered.Is anyone else having this problem?Thanks.

The Graphics layer's opacity control line is not visible, making the layer appear hidden, even though the video layer's opacity can be controlled; this occurs despite confirming that 'Opacity' is enabled in the Layer FX, and even when adding opacity keyframes via Ctrl+left-click, they remain hidden.I have attached a screen-captured video.

Hi all, I'm new to Adobe Premiere so sorry if this problem is easy to fix. I'm trying to add subtitles to a clip. However I'm unable to click on the add captions button. I do see a lock with "caption file is in source preview mode and must be added to sequence to be editable". I've closed the source preview, however that doesn't fix the problem. Next to that I've tried to click on "Add Edit" under Sequence. No success. ". Last thing I've tried is Add new caption track...  Here are some ss from my premiere (just to be clear, there's text behind the black square :)):

The issue is I am missing fonts in Premier Pro. Can't use MOGRT files. On the online page of the Adobe Fonts, it seems like I have all the Noto Sans fonts, in the app it shows that some of them wasn't able to install because of a conflict. I have tried: 1. Sign out and in of Adobe Creative Cloud.2. Install uninstall Premier Pro.3. Right click on MOGRT template after it is imported, and click on sync.4. Delete and import MOGRT files again.5. Downloaded Noto sans Google fonts locally -> right click -> install. With point 5 I was able to use everything correctly for a while on another laptop, but now everything is crushing (nothing helps to fix the issue) on both and it is quiet fustrating that I just cannot find a way to permanently fix the issue and work on my projects normally. Back in the old versions I have never experienced these kind of headaches but now I cannot even see e.g. versions from 2023, so atm I have the most recent versions (25 and 24).

Hello, I was working with time remapping everything was fine and then it started to snap to frames making it uncomfortable to work with short clips.

Hello, I am trying to add the transcript to an interview I'm working on and it's not including the audio track of the second person. I have two video files (with audio) and it's only recognizing the audio file of one of them. How can I have the transcript recognize both people?  I created a second project to troubleshoot this and when I clicked on the Text window, it already had the file transcribed. I was trying to start the whole process from scratch because I believe there's a window that pops up where you can identify if there are multiple people speaking. I didn't have this option when I created the new project. Any advice on that would be helpful, too. Thank you!

If you apply "add frame hold" and then add any effect like "scale" from the beginning to end of the clip the motion will stop where the clip originally ended.This didn't happen in previous versions of premiere. I regularly cheat footage by freeze framing and then scaling, or adding a hand held motion effect so I can sit on essentially a still image for 3-5 seconds.You can see in the screen grab below I have keyframes at the beginning and end of the clip - but the clip actually stops moving at the end of the yellow bar (original clips time). The work around is to nest it, freeze within the nest and then apply the motion but that sure is annoying.Would be great if it could be fixed.

I've been having this really annoying issue pretty much forever.I'm working as normal in premiere - then i need to export TIF a still image (or sequence) and open it in photoshop to edit it.  All good - I open in photoshop, then save back as TIF and import back into premiere - but as soon as the edited frame is back in premiere - it's color/brightness is just slightly off from the original frame.  I figured it's due to some color space issue - but I tried saving/exporting with all kinds of different settings, in RGB, in CMYK even, with AdobeRGB & with sRGB - it makes no difference.  The re-imported TIFF is always ever so slightly different.  I tried going PNG instead of TIFF - same thing.Then finally i found a workaround - importing the photoshop file directly into premiere.  That's a bit more messy (when many layers) and files are heavier/larger - but at least it worked.  But now another issue!I take that photoshop clip (still image exported from my p
