I’m currently using Robohelp Classic 19 merge project function. Our Merge project consist of six child projects nested in one parent project, with future plans of expanding to several other child projects as well. Is there a way to configure it, where it will isolate the search functionality to search in only a specific child project within the parent project? We are trying to avoid users getting multiple hits on search keywords, when they may only need to be looking at information as it pertains to one of the child projects.

Hello. I'm currently using the individual license of Robohelp and I'm the sole Technical Writer in my company. I'm kind of new to using the product and I was wondering if I can publish my documentation online using the Individual license or if I need to upgrade to the VIP license. Because when I tried Frameless or HTML publishing, it said it is published as a local or shared file. Also, the review function does not seem to work under the Individual license. Any help regarding the differences between licenses is very much needed. Thank you. 

I am using Robohelp 2019.  Have an existing project that has been working just fine.  I added two new topics and they appear in the topic list of the project I am in, but the html files are being stored in a different project location, not the one I'm work in; hence do not publish to the server along with the rest of the existing ones.  Can't figure out why - does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, I have some old help files that were created in older version of Robohelp.When I import those files and republish them, without making any change, glossary and index, which was on Right side of page is getting moved to bottom of page and as soon as i open help portal, screen jumps to bottom of the page towards index. My current version of robohelp is 2020.5.71 Thanks,Prashant

Using RH 2022, Version 2022.0.346In the RH 2022 HTML editor, I am editing my Topic Layout page. I am looking at this code that has zero errors.I compile and view my output and am happy to see that the URL of the current page displays in the output, meaning my test worked.I decide to hide the lines that start with < h2 > through the ending < / script > tag because I may want it for future reference but I don't want to include that section "now" so I add the <!—and --> code before the < h2 > and after the < / script > tag. When I do that, the HTML editor claims I have to have a start tag for the < / script > tag, saying that the tag must be paired:Why did the original code not generate an error and by hiding that bit of code, I see an error?

Hello.  I am demoing out RoboHelp for an API documentation project I am working on.  One of the key features needed is to be able to hover the mouse pointer over a word (e.g., an endpoint) and pop up the relevant short article (e.g., valid values, required, etc.).  From what I am reading, this is do-able with the latest release of RoboHelp, but material I am finding on Adobe's site does not match up with this release. Is this possible?  How do I access it and best practices?  Thank you. 🙂 

Using RH 2020.8.34, our security team found the \sourcefile\template\scripts\csh-trigger.min.js file to be a high security risk file. Has anyone had an issue with this file and/or had a solution to address the issue? Thank you so much for any insight.

HelloI have generated a CM file from the 2019 Classic Robohelp and I get the below error. Has anyone come across this at all?  Many ThanksBally 

My master page, "main.htt," has a footer with a centre-aligned image. But when I apply this layout to the topics, the footer image is not reflected in this topic. Furthermore,  I am unable to figure out a way to apply a master page to multiple topics with a single click.

I have defined a browse sequence and can include it in my html5 outputs as expected.  However, I do not have the option for including it in my chm outputs.  I have upgraded (from 2020.6) to 2020.8 and still have the issue.  I have also checked my Windows Settings to confirm that the browse sequence checkbox is selected.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.  

Running RH 2020.7, Windows I would like to add a custom Topic Page Button to the top nav frameless skin that will use the following Javascript to close the help: window.open('',' self').close() I can insert that bit of javascript, tied to an image, directly in the body of topics that achieves the desired end result - I click it and the entire help (web browser tab) closes. However, I've tried every config iteration I can think of for the OnClick field/param and I can't get the corresponding topic page button to close the help.    Thoughts? 

Since the last 2020 update, when TOC structure Use topic heading styles is selected, the TOC of generated pdf output is empty.Can anyone reproduce this as well?Is there a workaround?See attachments with examples.Interesting observation: The RoboHelp sample project "About RoboHelp" does generate the pdf output with TOC structure Use topic heading styles correctly with populated TOC.Reproduce steps:Open RoboHelp and create a new project.Create a few topics with different headings.Add them to the default TOC.Create a book TOC.Add TOC page to front matter.Link to default TOC.Open PDF output preset:In Content, set Table of Content to book TOC.In Layout, set TOC Structure to Use topic heading styles. While upgrading from RH 2017 to the leatest version of RH 2022, we are getting warning files failed upgrading. Also, fpj file is miisng in the upgraded folder. Attached is the image for the same. Could you please provide help for the same?

Hi everyone,I have RH 2020.7.46 and when I tried to generate word Output I receive the attached message "Failed to generate word" I tried to use, in the Style mapping, for Character, paragraph and tables both "use Robohelp style" option and "use word default" but both options didn't work.Can you help me to solve this problem?Thanks in advance!

Hi all, Just installed the new RH 2020. Since, it's ran sluggishly - and when generating a PDF, it says ''Java not found' in the log. Is my system's Java out of date? Thanks.

Am I missing something? I've been having real issues with my project and none of the online help seems to work. They're talking about things that I'm not seeing. Like they were talking about how to edit a master page and the showed this icon about where to find master pages. I don't have that icon. I am using Rh 2022 and these are the meni items I have:do I have everything I'm supposed to have, and if so, how do I find the master page to edit, because believe me, I've looked everywhere?

When I hover over images in our online help, sometimes a double-sided diagonal arrow will appear as shown in the bottom left of this image: However, when I hover over other images in our online help, a hand with a pointer finger will appear. I would like for a hand with the pointer finger to appear for images that include a hyperlink. How can I do this? P.S. I apologize for the poor image quality. I had to take a picture of my screen instead of a screenshot because the arrow/hand were not showing via screenshot.

Hi,Where is the option in Preset to change the scroll bar color in the Dark Skin in Frameless preset of RH 2020?  

For a number of months we have gotten a Runtime Error message when Publishing. We use the Responsive HTLM5. We publish to a newtwork folder initially and later tranfer the published files to our web server. We have a very large project with over 2000 topics. The Generate process works ok. The error message occurs when RoboHelp gets to the WhxData folder. I have noticed that the number of files in the WhxData folder is increasing.We have tried:deleting  .cpd file.Re-installing RoboHelp We have developed a workaround but it is not always successful:Reboot laptopCheck to see if the $variable$ and/or  __cpSwf2HTML5ZipMap files are showing up in the root folder BEFORE opening the project. If it’s there BEFORE you open the project, DELETE the files first and then open the project.Once you start publishing, monitor the root folder. The $variable$ and/or  __cpSwf2HTML5ZipMap files might get generated. I found out that the $variable$ file doesn’t cause any issue us

I added a child project in the MAin TOC and published Microsoft HTML help but the added child project is not visible in the output.

In Robohelp 2020, I have used the dark skin with skin homepage. I am adding a pdf for the Reader to down the complete guide in pdf. I can see that the pdf download button is added to the Topic Page. Is it possible to move it to the guide's homepage? Attaching images for more understanding. Why I am asking this because I am giving the entire pdf to be downloaded, not only one topic. So ideally putting it on the homepage will be more logical.

I recently edited a project in RoboHelp 2022, and I am completely confused. When I generate the chm file and look at the results, the formatting doesn't match my topics in many, if not most cases. I have a total of 10 topics separated under two sections. The topics under the first section look fine, but most of the ones in the second are all messed up. I am including a couple of  images of what I'm talking about. I can't figure it out because it looks perfect in the RoboHelp topic view.chm view:RoboHelp Topic view of same topic areaI would appeciate any assistance.

I'm using FrameMaker 2019 to generate online documentation, as responsive html5. Based on the Azure Blue template.I need to add a viewport row to the header of each generated htm file.<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width"> This is the desired htm result:I.e. I need to add row 6. Which Azure Blue template file do I need to edit?(I know this is the RoboHelp forum, but as I understand it the Azure Blue template is same.)

Hello, I could use some help... I have tried to bookmark to a site in chrome that has a drop down in it.  I want to link to the information in the drop down.  Here is a website that has a similar situation as an example.  W jacksonville Jacksonville, FL Warehouse | Costco I would like to the bookmark to open in this example, one of the warehouse service like Gas Stations.  So, when I click bookmark, I can see the gas station prices without another click.   I have tried the chrome extension.... link to fragment.  It won't open the gas station dropdown.  I appreciate any help!   Thank you!
