I just registered and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and I cannot save PDF files.     I decided to try the trial period because I was so frustrated with the lack of functionality in Adobe Reader.  I need to be able to sign documents, and even when DC reader works, it takes minutes to open a single document.   First, I uninstalled DC Reader.  That took about a half hour.   Next I signed up for the trial period.  I was surprised that Acrobat was so difficult to download.  I had to attempt a few browser tricks before I could even start the download.   After finally installing Acrobat Pro, I was unable to save PDF files.  I've tried multiple files and tried saving them to new locations, but I get the same error.   To add insult to injury, I couldn't contact tech support because I haven't registered my product.  (That sounds like an error I'd get back when people bought software in a box at the local office store.)   Please e

Hello,  I am working with a PDF that I myself tagged. I saved my PDFs yesterday, and normally when I expand the tag tree - the tagged text is visible in the treet and the pink box appears around the text. This morning when I went to work on the PDF, the tag tree is almost empty, some tags are still showing text and having the pink box appear around the area - but most are not. Despite this, the reading order panel is still fully populated and in the correct order - and I am not given any failures when I run the accessibility chekc - but due to the now empty tags I am not sure if this document is still accessible. Pictures attached show that most but not all tags are now empty and that the reading order is still intact. Do I have to completly re-tag this? Is this a glitch?  Thank you

In Acrobat Pro, within the Document area of the Preferences there is a checkbox to Always use filename as document title that has been enabled but does not seem to work.  When opening files and looking at the document properties the title field remains blank. Is there a way to make this work so the title field in the properties uses the file name?

Is there a way to save more than one signature and initials under the fill and sign tools?

I am trying to customize our install for Acrobat and Reader installs through the unified installer.  However it doesn’t appear the customization wizard supports this new installer.  Can anyone confirm?  The dowload link on the Wizard Customization Website is from 2022 it seem according to the name and I get an error when trying to modify the msi that it can’t. This question is in the FAQ, but it just says to download a version that “matches”.  Well there is only one download link I can find and they all download the same file. Thanks.

When converting a PDF to Excel the second page/every other page is as an "image" in the image box in Excel. How can I fix this, is this a page break issue from the program that is making the PDF? I need to get the information from the PDF to Excel to use my formulas to get the data out and I cant do this with an image. 

Hi there, I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and I don't understand why are you conditioning my opening a PDF file to loging in with my Adobe ID? This is quite frustrating, I can't stand this kind of intrusion in my personal sh*t. Everything is up to date, no need to ask me that.  Please advise

Hello, I am currently experiencing issues with Adobe Acrobat using 20+ GB of RAM when trying to use any acrobat functions from organizing pages to OCR. These are not large files (>100MB). I’ve been able to consistently reproduce the issue with multiple different files and on multiple devices including PCs fresh out of the box.  I have reproduced the issue on W11 24H2 and 25H2, On Acrobat Version 25.001.20997. Tested it on both 32 and 64bit. Uninstalled and reinstalled acrobat. Tried doing a full reinstall of the computers OS. Protected mode is disabled.  Systems have 32GB of DDR5 RAM, an i7 with an M2 SSD. It seems like from my research this is just a consistent issue with Adobe as I’ve seen reports of this same issue going back 10 years. Is there ever going to be a fix?

Die beiden pdf-Dateien Seite1.pdf und Seite2.pdf werden mit Arcobat zu einem Dokument zusammengeführt. Das von Acrobat erzeugte pdf (combined.pdf) ist defekt. Die Schrift CandidaPro-Roman ist in beiden Seiten jeweils als Fontsubset enthalten. In combined.pdf ist nur der Fontsubset der ersten Seiten enthalten und das auch nur defekt.Nutzt man z.B. pdf24 oder Ghostscript für diese Aufgabe so ist alles in Ordnung. Der Support von Montype kann an der Schrift selbst keine Fehler feststellen.    

Converting Word to PDF removes Alt Text. I’ve used the Word PDF maker and all the different buttons that pop up. I’ve following the instructions I found here. I also have the same issue with Save As and Exporting to PDF. I’ve checked and unchecked so many options in the various Export / Save As tools. And the Alt Text still gets stripped out. What option needs to be checked, unchecked, selected, and which set of conversion options get it right? I am using an updated version of Adobe and Office 19.I need to be able to explain this clearly to the entire staff as we meet the WCAG 2.1 deadline. 

Running macOS 26 on Apple Silicon (three different Macintosh computers with M1 Max, M1 Ultra, and M5 processors) and latest Acrobat Pro. Printer is an HP LaserJet Pro M454dw with latest firmware and drivers installed on all macOS systems.For over a year we have not been able to print fillable forms on macOS systems with Acrobat Pro. The free Adobe Reader will print the documents without problem as will Apple’s own Preview app. I have reported this issue several times to Adobe and also posted the question on Apple’s support (pointing me back to Adobe support). No one can make comments in the pdf reviews because Adobe releases the pdfs as a restricted file.  I  disabled Enhanced Security in preferences and Secruity Method is set to "No security" in Document properties.  When I look at the document restrictions summary, commenting is allowed but when reviewers open the pdf review, the commenting tools are unavailable.  How can I get around this issue? 

What is the point of having the option to either auto-update Acrobat or not if the option is set toauto update? You uncheck the auto-update and hit OK. Go back into the selection and it’s set to auto-update. Adobe is such a joke.   

I have Acrobat as a part of my “package” (for decades).  Suddenly, when I try to open, create, read, etc. any PDF, I have to “start a new trial, or purchase that I all ready own.  I can’t seem to link the Adobe apps I have with the files I need to use/create.  How do I recreate that linkage?

Every time I "print to PDF" from anywhere, the document automatically opens in Adobe. How do i get this to stop happenng? 

I just wanted to convert (or combine) multiple docx files in Acrobat and was baffled when it showed me, docx wasn’t supported.In the convert tool, the open dialogue won’t even show docx as supported file type.Every support and help article I’ve found reads as if Word is a dependency for this to work? I almost exclusively use Acrobat to view architectural plans for bidding.  AI assistant keeps asking to summarize architectural plans (absolutely ludicrous) and it is BEYOND ANNOYING.  I have already turned it ‘off’ but the banner appears every freaking time.  How do I make it stop?

H there, went to download Adobe Acrobat today to my MacBook pro, M3 with Tahoe 26.3.1 (a), and keep getting a message .. ‘The disk image couldn’t be opened.The operation couldn’t be completed. Operation not permitted.’ I have tried so many options after reading about issues, going to privacy and security settings, and just can’t get this loaded up.. All the suggested google and AI tips do nothing, what am I missing, aside, loosing all my Sunday and a lot of hair I’ve pulled out!! I am needing to set up adobe to prepare files for sending, changing permissions so others can view, please please help… Thank you. 

I have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud Pro and also Adobe Acrobat Pro, but when I install the 3rd Acrobat pro, it told me that I had exceeded my licenses. When I just had Creative Cloud Pro, I had 2 installations, 1 CC install on my laptop and 1 CC install on my school pc. I needed to put another installation on a 3rd PC so I purchased the Adobe Acrobat Pro license.  Based on what I read on the license, I am allowed 2 installations, so Considering I have CC and Acrobat Pro, I should be able to have 4 installations so why am I being limited to just 2?

Hello.I  have  created    a  scanned  pdf  doc  with my  canon  MP640  printer  for my  police identity  years ago.Appears  the  two  sides of  police idenity doc  and  the  font  arroung is grey(screenshot1)when i open with  adobe reader.Is   this  because  i  scan  the police identity directly  with canon printer?Because  i  take  screenshot  for my new  police identity  and copy paste  to  word  and  after that  i  save it  as  pdf and appears  regurarly  the  white paper  around  this(screenshot 2) 

I’m working with some official documents such as NBI Clearance PDFs, and sometimes I notice issues like editing restrictions or files not displaying correctly after saving or sharing.Has anyone experienced similar problems when using Adobe Acrobat for official or government-related documents?Also, what settings or workflow do you recommend to avoid any file corruption or validation issues?

I recenetly had a users laptop using a lot of disk space. I assumed this was either movies or music or other media taking up space. I discoverd the installer folder was filled with old .msi files from updates to the tune of 38GB. So I uninstalled Acrobat in full and the folder size fell by 8GB. I then used a script to delete unused files in that folder since it did not matter that I deleted them as Acrobat is now uninstalled. It got rid of 30GB of old unused .msi and other install files that were never needed by Acrobat.  What is going on? All the other programs installed on the computer are using a total of 2.5GB of install files but Acrobat used 8GB plus 30GB that was never needed.  How is this preventable to stop Acrobat conintuly filling up sapce on the computer.

Hi, We bought a perpetual license in 2015 for 170 users. The definition of perpetual license is a license grants the purchaser the right to use software indefinitely, with no expiration date We are less that 10 years into our license and we can no longer use our licenses purchased. After talking to several departments I was in touch with the perpetual license department where ultimately they pointed me to make a post here. I was told As the product is outdated I am unable to transfer to the dedicated team. Hence I request you to post you query and our dedicated team will get in touch with you. I am hoping to get this resolved as Adobe should have had a solution already in place for changing their licensing for those "grandfathered" in to a perpetual license.
