Questions

The ability to drag and drop files to combine no longer works for some users.  When files are dragged into the dialog box, files are opened and then the option to combine all open files pops up.  You can also add files by clicking the "add file" button.  This is not as efficient as the drag and drop option.  Does anyone know what's going on?

I'm looking for some help with the formatting of text within a text field in a form. I'd like to set the tracking — also sometimes known as letterspacing, i.e. the space between each letter in a given string of text — of the text that the user enters. Unfortunately my searches for text tracking return results relating to track changes, so I'm unable to find what I'm looking for. I'd like a solution which genuinely formats the tracking value of the text, not a workaraound like adding a space character between each character entered into the form. If it is possible to do using Javascript, I do not mind whether it is a Custom format script or a Custom keystoke script. If it is not possible to implement using Javascript, I'd be interested in knowing whether it is possible to set the tracking value in another way. As far as I can see, there is no way of changing the tracking within the standard formatting options. Thanks for reading!

I’m trying to convert a scanned statement into Excel using Adobe Acrobat Pro, but the numbers are not being detected correctly. In many cases, multiple numbers are being merged into a single cell. I’ve already tried using the Scan & OCR feature followed by exporting to Excel, but the issue persists.Interestingly, Able2Extract is able to recognize the tables accurately and convert them into Excel with much better formatting.Is there a way to achieve similar results using Adobe Acrobat Pro? Are there any advanced settings or tricks that could help improve table recognition and preserve the correct cell structure?Thank you!

Greetings.  I have an Adobe cloud subscription and understand when I download acrobat, it should install the version called for. I am thinking I should have the full version that used to have other names. When I double click on a pdf in file manager which has an acrobat icon so is the default,, it opens but the interface is different and it starts doing an AI analysis of the document. Sometimes could be helpful but by default, I just want it to open so I can print immediately. Or another one to ask, get the toolbar and full interface back. Is there a setting that allows this to happen?  Thanks,BJBBJB1

I have a PDF I exported from inDesign that is 2.4MB before I add the videos to it. After adding the videos in Acrobat (because I can't figure out how to in inDesign), and then compressing the PDF, it's 52.4MB. I need it to be 7MB. How can I do this, either in Acrobat or inDesign?

In an Acrobat form, I want the text to be a max of 10pt, but reduce to make it fit if necessary. Is this possible? 

Hello, we have ECC Smartcards to sign documents with qualified electronic signatures following the EU eIDAS Standard. Therefore the Smartcards were issued from Telesec PKS. The Smartcards are working, we have signed several files with other software. When loading the required PKCS#11 modules we are able to see the certificate from the smartcard in Acrobat DC. But when we try to sign a file using this certificate we get the error that we are using an unsupported algorithm.    Does anyone know why we cannot sign documents with the smartcard? Following this page https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/DigSigDC/standards.html we should be able to use ECDSA elliptic curve P256 with digest algorithm SHA256 which i guess means SHA256 ECDSA. Many thanks in advanceMax

Hallo, Für eine A4-Broschüre möchte die Druckerei ein PDF für die komplette Rückseite, bestehend aus U4 im Format A4, Rückenschild im Format 3 mm x 297 mm und U1 im Format A4, insgesamt also 423 x 297 mm. Die 3 dafür erforderlichen EInzel-PDFs habe ich. Wenn ich mit einem simplen Zusammenfügen beginne, wird automatisch für das Gesamtdokument das Format A4 gewählt und das schmale Rückenteil als eigene Seite mit 3 mm Breite und A4-Höhe dargetsellt, und die beiden anderen Seiten werden auch als Einzelseiten dargestellt. Wie kann ich ein leeres PDF-Dokument erstellen, in das ich die 3 Dokumente hereinziehe, um den Durckinhalt des äußeren Umschlags darzustellen? Oder welche Methode kann ich sonst anwenden, um diese 3 Inhalte in verschiedenen Formaten nebeneinander in ein PDF mit neuem Gesamtformat zu bringen? Freue mich auf jede Antwort, die Online-Hilfe hatte jedenfalls keine.

HiI have just bought Adobe Pro because i need to edit text on a PDF. However, whenever I open any PDF, the PDF page suddenly turns black with a white box in the middle, and i can't do anyhting. I have paid 25 dollars for access to PDF editor pro, can someone explain to me what is going on? how can I solve this problem?(image attached)

Hello, (I don't speak English, Google translation) At my company, I had the old version of Adobe Acrobat Pro (I think 2019), and they updated it to Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2024.003.20112 64-bit. The problem is that in the old version, when splitting the document, it allowed me to select the "same folder" option with the "bookmark names" option. Now, in the new version, I can't do that. The "same folder" option is there, but when I select it, it blocks the "bookmark names" option. Therefore, the task of splitting PDFs becomes much longer and tedious. Selecting the folder manually takes time due to the excessive number of folders and PDF files to split. Does anyone know of a way to revert this change and be able to select the same folder and keep the "bookmark names" option?

The app is not allowing me to save or edit documents using the cloud. I can upload the document to the cloud dragging the file to and dropping it in the cloud, however, if I open the file first and afterwards try to save it to the cloud I am not allowed. Also the app does not allow me to save the edits I do even if the file is uploaded in the cloud. If I use the Web Creative Cloud I can edit and save normally. I have restarted my computer, preferences, and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat. I see others have encountered similar problems. I am using Mac. Sequoia 15.4.1.

Nearly every PDF document I open in Acrobat opens with the bookmark panel expanded, which seems very strange. I understand that this behavior is determined on an individual document level and not at the application level. It doesn't make sense that nearly every document opens with the bookmark panel expanded when they don't have any bookmarks, though. Wouldn't it make more sense for the bookmark panel to only be expanded when opening documents that have bookmarks? Playing around with the document properties, though, I believe I've discovered a bug. If I go to Document Properties> Initial View> Navigation tab and set it to "Page Only", then save the document and reopen it, it'll open with the bookmark panel expanded. If I go back in and set it to "Bookmarks Panel and Page", then save the document and reopen it, it'll open with the page only view. That's clearly the opposite of how it's intended to work, which would explain why nearly every PDF document I open starts with the

Nun habe ich die Datei in einem anderen Browser geöffent und sehe, dass die Arbeit der letzten Stunden dort (noch) nicht sichtbar ist - was tun?

I was working on my Adobe and I pressed something like control + x or maybe a or maybe y and suddenly a small blue lines have appeared as a grid over my text. I turned off Adobe and turned it on again opening a new PDF file and the small blue line grid remains in other Adobe PDFs. What should I do? (Note I am using a MacBook Pro)

I just got a new work PC and when I installed Acrobat pro on the new PC, the blue share button is not there anymore. It's just an envelope that allows me to send the document via email. Please can someone help me to get it back as I use this function on a daily basis. 

Hello! There is a document that I want to print which is written with Lucida Sans and includes Turkish Letters (such as İ and Ğ) in it. However when I try to print the documents the printed version is clearly written with another font than what I see in the pdf file. And also there are blank spots on where the turkish letters supposed to be. I can print the same document via another app and there is no problem. And if I remember correctly there was not such a problem before. My macos is 15.5 (24F74) and my adobe is pro Build: 25.1.20529.0 

I have a Windows 11 pro computer and I am having an issue with Adobe asking for a password to access AdobeARM.exe every time I open Adobe Acrobat.  I have tried repairing Adobe Acrobat and Creative Cloud. I have uninstalled Adobe Acrobat and Creative Cloud. I ran the Adobe uninstall tool and Adobe CC Cleaner. I reinstalled it and still got the same error message.  I tried giving the user read and write permissions  for the user to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe and still get asked for the admin credentials. I tried disabling the Adobe update service.  In the multiple times I have reinstalled Adobe I did try removing Adobe folders from the computer and still get the error message. I also tried creating a new deployment package from the Admin Console and installing it as well and I get the same request for admin credentials. The computer is a domain environment and all users are setup as standard user ri

I have an interactive form downloaded from a bank -- and the form has a lot of Yes & No check-boxes.I don't know if this is typical, but whenever I click on a box to get it filled in, I cannot figure out how to clear that box.  I can check another box and that works fine, but just can't clear (uncheck) a box I have already checked (other than an undo).But undo's are not good if you decide later on, while filling out the form, that you want/need to in-check the box.ron in round rock

Daneben kommt die Mitteilung: „Ihre Testversion ist abgelaufen. Kaufen“ Nun war Acrobat Pro 2017 zwar kein Abo aber auch keine Testversion. Leider kann ich PDFs nicht mehr erstellen und bearbeiten. („Diese Funktion ist in ihrer aktuellen Lizenz nicht enthalten“)Ich habe einiges ohne Erfolg versucht (Reparatur, localAppData für Acrobat gelöscht, Konto mit Prod.-Code geprüft). Good day Can anyone assist on a calculation scrip to count the drop down selection based on following options: "On" Off" "Travel".I have 31 rows each with the drop down selection options. At the bottom of my form, I've added a section to provide the user with a count of each.  Tried multiple calculations but wont work. please help!Thank you!
