Dear Adobe Support Team,I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to seek assistance regarding an issue I am experiencing with the JavaScript functionality in Adobe Acrobat while working on a PDF form.I have implemented a JavaScript code to dynamically format form fields based on their values. Specifically, I want the fields to display a light red background with dark red text when the values are below 1.0 or above 1.6. Conversely, for values within the range of 1.0 to 1.6, I would like the background to be white with black text.Current Implementation:I have added the JavaScript code to the text fields. However, I am encountering the following issues:When I click out of the field, the text color changes to white, and the background remains blue instead of displaying the specified dark red text on a light red background. The formatting does not persist after the field loses focus.Request for Assistance:I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this issu
How can I embedd a Powerpoint Presentation in my pdf? It should not be a hyperlink to a one drive or a google drive link to the same presentation? Thanks
Dear community,I am Marcel from Germany. I have been unsuccessfully trying to round a given number (e.g., 5.25) to two decimal places in a commercial manner (rounding up with 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and rounding down with 1, 2, 3, 4). The result should be 5.30, but with JavaScript, I always get 5.20, which is incorrect. Unfortunately, I cannot find an option in Acrobat Pro DC to solve this common problem. Neither Google nor ChatGPT have provided a solution. Can anyone help me?Thank you!Marcel
I have scanned a large volume of correspondence, in date order, starting with the oldest and finishing with the newest date. However, I need the finished file to have the newest dated correspondence at the beginning, instead of at the end. Is there an easy way to reverse the page order without invoking any scripts? I work in a large organization where every little change needs to be approved by an administrator.I was thinking of doing the following -- extract every page as a separate document, then recombine them into one document with the order sorted whichever would product the result.Thanks!
I created a .mst file with the Acrobat Customization Wizard for the new Classic version and set the option:After installing the .pdf is successfully set to Acrobat Classic and when opening a pdf all is fine.Except that Acrobat seems not to recognize this, because after opening Acrobat, it asks "to set as default".(Sorry is german)Anyone have this issue maybe or is this maybe a Acrobat issue?Thanks!
Hi Is it possible to permanently stop the "This appears to be a long document ... save time by reading a summary" popup header bar from appearing when opening a PDF in Acrobat Pro? It's becoming a nuisance when I am working on a document which requires frequent exporting, to have to hide this message every time, as it usually appears a few seconds after opening the PDF, by which time I am already in the middle of checking/proofing and it breaks my rhythm. ThanksRIchard
I have an email invitation from my work to Adobe Pro. When I try to redact, combine, etc. it says I need to download the desktop version. I do so but Adobe Pro does not open up. Where do I go? What do I do? Help me please?!
Hey all! On a large selection of files that I try to combine acrobat freezes and crashes. There are some files that do work. But on a large portion the app or the web app both crash when trying to combine them. I have an older windows 11 24h2 dell laptop. Ive reinstalled, repaired, adobe cleaned several times. Everything is up to date. But I cant figure out why it keeps happening to this random set of files.
I have an array of 30 fields "Price01 - Price30" and a checkbox. I am trying to loop through each field to see if it is greater than $100. If at least one of the 30 fields has a value greater than 100, I want the box to be checked. If not, then the box is unchecked.So far I have the following validation script in each of the fields because checkboxes don't allow for validation scriptsvar a = this.getField("Price01").valueAsString; var b = this.getField("Price02").valueAsString; var c = this.getField("Price03").valueAsString; var d = this.getField("Price04").valueAsString; var e = this.getField("Price05").valueAsString; if (a >= "100" || b >= "100" || c >= "100" || d >= "100" || e >= "100") { this.getField("TestBox").checkThisBox(0,event.value < 100 ? false : true); } else { }
Hello, I found out that clicking on the green checkmark in version 2022 causes the panel to vanish. However, this is not true for the 2023 version. Would Adobe be willing to release a fix?
Hi thereRelatively new to ADOBE forms and scripting.I have an expense form that has 14 rows and each row has a uniquely identified dropdown (Category) with 6 different values: KM, Accommodations, Meals, Transportation, Other and empty value (" ").Each dropdown name is obviously different: Cat1, Cat2,..., Cat14. The dropdown is set to Commit Selected Value Immediatelly. I also have three other fields: Units (u1, u2,..., u14), Cost (c1, c2,..., c14) and Total Value (tv1,..., tv14). The Total Value = Unit*Cost (u1*c1,..., u14*c14).The idea is that when I select KM, it should automatically set the Cost value to the value I defined (e.g. 0.40) and the Unit ("u1", etc) field is cleared. When the selection changes to any other option other than KM, the Unit value (e.g. u1) changes to 1 and the cost gets cleared. I am using the following calculation script for Cat1 dropdown: if (event.value == "KM") {this.getField("c1").value = this.getFie
I am a long-time user of Acrobat and am currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro 23.001.20174.0. I need to print plans (blueprints) daily. On a plan set, what is colored gray is existing, and what is black is new. (You can see what a problem this can be) Anyway, as an example, I have a plan page to print that looks like this:All the background needs to be gray and just several items need to be black. No matter what kind of options I can find to choose, or even what printer I choose, it always prints like this:(Unless, of course I print it in Foxit - which prints it perfectly without tweaking at all.) I have used Acrobat Pro for many years and really hate to change but does anyone have any ideas what might be the problem with Adobe not picking up the difference between the grays and blacks and printing them properly?
Hello, We are using Acrobat Pro (or reader) to print our invoices. As we are in a EU country our invoices are in A4 format. The problem we face: Acrobat insists the documents are in Letter format. I therefore have to go to: Print -> Page Setup and change the paper size from Letter to A4 every single time I have to print something.As you can imagine this is very annoying and time consuming. Question: Is there any way to change the defaults of this dialog? I want Acrobat to remember we are in a country which, 99.9% of the time, uses A4 (or any other DIN format). Attached you can find a sample document I made in Word (in A4) which is not recognized / setup correctly in my Acrobat. Thank you very much,Simon System info:Installed Acrobat: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Acrobat.exeVersion: 20.12.20041.394260Creation Date: 2020/07/31Creation Time: 3:34:32 AMLocale: English (United States)Time Zone: W. When editing Pictures and texts, it often happens, that I find parts of my texts messed up. Letters missing and whitespace added randomly. This is most annoying esp. when going unnoticed, as I sell ebooks. When I reedit to correct the mixing up, I can never be certain, it does not mix up somewhere else.Good advice would be appreciated. Thank you
I would like Text1 to read:NAMEADDRESSCITY, STATE, ZIP var fields = ["NAME", "ADDRESS", "CITY", "STATE", "ZIP"];var values = [];for (var i in fields) {var f = this.getField(fields[i]);if (f.valueAsString!="") values.push(f.valueAsString);}event.value = values.join("\n");
I would love some help on this one. I have used coding (Javascript) similar to this for some time now in Acrobat, but am self-taught and can't seem to understand how to fix this error. For reference, I use MS Visual Studio to write the coding, and that program is reporting no errors. I am getting a syntax error in part of my code when trying to enter it into Adobe as a Document Javascript; I have omitted the code that comes before this as it does not seem to be an issue and is a lot of code. The error I am getting is: "SyntaxError: missing } after property list". But I can see the closed bracket at the end of my code, have attempted to re-type that portion of the code, and have tried to change some of the formatting around it as well. Nothing seems to get rid of the error and I cannot complete my document without this code. The code as a whole auto-populates several form fields with information when an item is selected from a dropdown list. Any insight would be greatly apprc
In the online help it states you can. "Georegister a PDF map or scan of geospatial data."" Yet it gives no way to actually do this. Anyone have any idea? Thanks.
I have a 64-bit laptop. I had to reinstall Windows, so I had to reinstall my Acrobat X product. I did that last in 2018 or 2020. This time, when I tried to reinstall my Acrobat X product, I could find only 32-bit downloads for Acrobat X. Is there any way I can get my trusty old friend, Acrobat X to work on my 64-bit machine?
So, I have a 300 pages PDF file. I want to create a PDF of this in which 6 pages are in one page PDF. So it works when you "Print" the PDF, you can choose "Multiple" and layout it in a what the 6 pages are printed into one paper. So I want to reflect the same thing but not "Print" it but rather create that actual PDF with 6 pages in one document, if that makes sense.
Hello everyone 🙂 I keep having the same issues with Adobe. I like to create my own templates to make my job more efficient, but for some reason when I do, as soon as I save it, the font goes all wonky, and somtimes deletes random letters all together. Example shown below. Please help 🙂
Hi allI've spent 3 days going through various posts and communities and am still stuck. It's not a difficult problem, but for some reason I cannot figure it out (I blame Daylight Savings Time LOL). I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC and have two dates - Referral Date (ref_date) and Decision to Treat Date (dec_to_treat_date). All I want is a message (date_message) to show on the form if the Decision to Treat is greater than Referral Date. Here's my code at the moment, which is in my ref_date field as an ON BLUR action. For some reason, if I put the two dates in as the same month, it works, but if I put the dates in as different months, nothing happens. I've tried the Debugger without luck and as I'm brand new to JS, have no idea what other things I should look for.Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Chris var d1 = this.getField("dec_to_treat_date").value; var d2 = this.getField("ref_date").value; var dm = getField("date_message"
