Acrobat Pro recently started to select the first page of the pdf when I try to extract pages. This is a problem if, for example, I want to extract pages 135-200. Is there a fix coming?

Hi Adobe Community,I’m facing an issue with layer visibility in PDFs and would appreciate your guidance.I am creating a layered PDF using PDF/X-4 settings from Adobe InDesign 24. After generating the PDF, I tested it across different Acrobat versions:In Acrobat 8, 10, 11, and DC – the layers are visible and function correctly in the Layers panel. However, in Acrobat 9.0 – the layers are not displayed properly. Instead, it shows only “D (default configuration) – text only”, and none of the actual layers are visible.The PDF clearly contains Optional Content Groups (layers), and since it works in other versions, I assume the file itself is not corrupted.Could you please help clarify:Is this a known limitation or bug in Acrobat 9.0 related to PDF/X-4 or layer handling? Are there any specific export settings in InDesign that improve compatibility with Acrobat 9? Is there any workaround to make layers visible in Acrobat 9 without flattening or removing them?Any insights or recommendations wo

I am trying to merge PDF files with camscanner generated files into a combined PDF. However, pages from each file are not proportional and I wanted to know if there is a way to amend this via the app? I do not have access to all the scanned documents anymore, so any way around this will be majorly appreciated!!

Hello,I have many .msg files (from outlook) in my computer. I want to mass convert them to .pdf however, if I do so I have to rename them, one by one, during the conversion process (they are all named Memo Style.pdf). I want to convert into .pdf with the same name as they have as .msg. Is it possible? How should I do it?

Hi - Not sure if this is the appropriate pathway - but is there a way to get a shortcut key added for redacting a page? Currently there is one for the redaction tool but we redact large amounts of whole pages and would love a shortcut to redact the current page and still use the menu to select a grouping.

I have a form with checkboxes that will create templates in the form to fill out. I would like to uncheck the box and have it delete that particular form. I do this now by searching for a certain fieldname on that page. If it finds it, delete the page. This is my issue:Say I have form 1 (page1), 2 (page2), 3 (page3) created. I remove 2. It removes and now there is form 1 (page1), and form 3 (now page2). When I try to delete form 3 now it searches for the specific fieldname, but it tells me that the field name is still on page 3, and thus can’t delete a page that is nonexistent, leaving form 3 (page2) still there. How do I get it to refresh (I have used “this.calculateNow();” before AND after deletion but dosen’t work) so it sees the fieldname on the proper page, ie page 2.Here is my code:if (trackerField != null) {        this.calculateNow();        var trackerField = this.getField("PageTracker2_" + cbName);        var pageToDelete = Number(trackerField.value);                // Remove

PDF’s. After an update the icons on my desktop are now thumbnails (showing the contents instead of just an icon). If I change to icons in File Explorer then all my thumbnails in Documents are changed to icons (no contents, just an empty folder icon). I can’t seem to restore to the original view. Thanks, Lee

Acrobat Pro is very slow on my Mac, and it makes work hard to finish. Even simple tasks take too long, which is really frustrating. I hope an update can fix this and make it faster soon.

My Adobe Acrobat Standard PDF file does not print. It’s not the printer because the printer can print other files. It’s just this particular file that doesn’t print. Can someone provide a solution or recommendation?jimjks

I recently upgraded my computer and installed adobe on it.  On my old computer when printing a PDF I used to be able to click the options "print in grayscale and save ink toner" but they are not working.  In order to printer in black and white everytime I have to go into properties and change it or have to permantley change my printer settings.  Is there a fix to this?

I have version 2025.001.21288 and I can use the stamp + i can write in the fields… My collegues (2026.001.21431) can stamp it, but the text fields do not pop up. I also tried:Reinstallingre adding the stamp newchecking Javascript settingschecking security settingsrebootdeleting DC folder to rebuilt settings It worked perfectly for a long time, now it suddenly stopped working for 2 people at the same time, i am sure there will be more complains soon… What can I do about this? Do you have the same problem?

When editing documents, I randomly encounter a bug on a few pages in which much of the text on the page(s) disappears. It's still there, and the Find function is still able to see it, but its completely invisible. Saving as brings back most of the invisible text, but not all. The text this affects is always added by the text box "Edit PDF" tab, rather than by that in the "Comment" tab. Has anyone encountered this before? What's causing it, and how do I fix it?

When I open our print PDFs in Acrobat and go to check values, Output Preview always showed CMYK using the Color Settings CMYK Profile. Now it shows up as RGB in Output Preview. How can I get Output Preview to open showing the color channels that are in the file?Version: 26.001.21431

Hello, On a new Windows 11 laptop, I have installed Acrobat and when I start it, after some sec (5-10) a blank popup windows appeared and acrobat freezed. No possibility to close it, just possibility to kill it via the process manager tool. I updated it to version 2025.001.21233 64 bits without success. Behind the blank popup you can see the Acrobat view, confirming that the Blank popup is an acrobat popup. Of course, I tried to repair / Uninstall / Resinstall acrobat without success. Who face similar issue and what was done to unblock the situation ? Tks for your support. 

Acrobat Pro’s "read out loud" function in acrobat pro (continuous release version 2025.00 1.20756)  is completely nonsensical. I use this function because I have a disability & this is more incorrect and far more confusing than my baseline. Acrobat Pro ‘Read Out Loud- English language’ is breaking up words completely incorrectly. It is set English, but it's not reading English or any other language. The "read loud" function is independently deciding what syllables and spaces are relevant free of any phonetics or ‘real’ language system. A huge disservice, not only to the community of people that need these accessibility functions, but to anyone trying to use this as an accessibility function. 

Currently, April 30, 2026- fully up to date Mac OX and Acrobat Pro- computer restarted just hours ago. It seems like the ‘read out loud function’ is not able to read English. It doesn't understand where to break words and syllables up and is the opposite of an accessibility feature. If anything ‘read out loud’ feature makes everything more confusing. All software's and systems as well as hardware are up-to-date with free available memory. Please see attached screen recording.

Hi, I’m looking for any info or feedback on this topic. I’m trying to create a press-ready editable business card template PDF for a client.I’ve created the artwork in Indesign (CMYK) and exported to PDF where I’ve added required fields using the ‘Create a Form’ functions.My first question is about colour space, because it’s looking like the editable fields are in RGB colour space? If so, that leaves the client with artwork that is not press-ready.Secondly, I’m assuming i’ll be stuck with the standard/basic font selection (ie Arial).I’m starting to think this just isn’t a viable offering for clients - too much can go wrong. Long names that wont fit without specific kerning, addresses that require more lines than allowed, or just general user error could result in a printed card that looks wrong.Anyone else done this with successful results? Cheers. 

Every time I open a PDF file, the bookmarks panel is automatically displayed, and I have to take the extra step of closing it, because I do not use bookmarks. I see that there is an option to change how a particular PDF file opens, but most of the PDFs I work with are not saved, so I want to change the settings for Adobe so that it does NOT open every PDF with the bookmarks panel displayed. Please help!

Hello, I am writing to report a problem I recently encountered with Acrobat on Windows 11.Since the latest Windows 11 updates, Print production tools has not been working.I think I have found the source of the problem; at least I have solved it for myself, so while waiting for a potential patch, this may help others.For me, it was related to access rights to the Config.Msi folder, which contains the RBF files used by Acrobat. Windows was preventing access to this folder. I simply restored administrator rights to this folder and now it works again.I think the Windows update is trying to better protect users, but it conflicts with Acrobat when you try to switch to Print Production Tools mode.Is this a problem that will be patched?Thanks

I have a weird issue where when protected mode is turned on, adobe runs perfect but limits some of the files I can open in my company dropbox folder (Says access denied). But when I turn protected mode off, I can open the files, but adobe runs terribly slow and freezes constantly. Does anyone know of a fix where I can have protected mode off and still run smooth?
