I have a set of scans in separate files that I need to crop. They are image scans without OCR, and they do not need OCR. I just need to crop them, but every time I open the Edit PDF menu to choose the Crop Page tool, Acrobat automatically runs OCR on every file, which causes a forced delay while I wait for this inefficient app to run its task. Is there any way to prevent Acrobat from ever running OCR before I ask it to? In the past, this was the default. Now it doesn't seem like there's any way around it.

Hi, I am trying to create a form letter that will merge a client's name into the pdf and then add a comma after the name, e.g. "Dear [Client's Name], ". Does anyone know what code I need to add to the javascript editor to do that? Or is there another way to do it? So far, I have only been able to create the merfe field to allow the client's name to appear, but I have not been able to get a comma to appear after the name. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a simple way to delete contents of a column in a pdf document? For example, imagine I have an invoice with 100 lines. The invoice has a column called Discount and each invoice line has a discount. I can go field by field and delete the discount value in each row, but is there a way to delete everything in one go?
We have Adobe Acrobat files on our network drives and very frequently we are getting errors when editing or even just viewing them. The pages will go blank and if we try to save the file, an error is thrown - the document could not be saved an unexpected network error occurred. This is occurring in Acrobat Pro 2017 version 2017.011.3071 and Acrobat Pro DC version 2020.009.20076Any idea why this is happening? I've turned off enhanced security and it still continues to occur. I've searched the community and various websites and have not found an answer to this issue.

I'm burning through my 1-week trial and still cannot actually use Acrobat desktop. A half-dozen times, I have tried downloading Acrobat from different screens and options (VERY confusing) and was getting CC, but with no progress bars and no identifiable progress after overnight tries. Finally, miraculously, CC was suddenly installed, while I wasn't trying to download it. Then, I tried to use that to download Acrobat. A spectacularly opaque process followed, but I later stumbled onto a CC listing of desktop apps and Acrobat was there. It was in the "Installed" section with a status of "up to date," but the "open" button was greyed out. I have tried the CC uninstaller to repair and later, to uninstall it. I reinstalled and ultimately reached the same point. Acrobat installed and up-to-date, but not open-able. One of my PCs still has Acrobat Pro 2017, and I didn't have anything NEAR this much problem getting it set up and working. 4
I am receiving "One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted." when trying to delete pages of a PDF using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. It is updated to the latest version. Tried repairing, no change. Tried changing PDF/A View Mode to never, no change. Have tried completely uninstalling (including deleting registry keys) and re-installing and still receiving same message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We have client in the construction industry and they use a lot of files which included detailed drawing data in them. The PDF files can range from a few KB to 100+ MB in size. Over the last 2 months, we've noticed a lot more tickets coming in for the users complaining about Adobe crashing, freezing or simply being extremely slow. Some of the PDF's which they work on, they get from clients who used AutoCAD software, and this client also uses CostX as their main system to work from. In the last few weeks, we've had some success, by uninstalling the GPU (Nvidia cards) drivers and Adobe Acrobat DC. And then reinstalling the latest drivers (we usually then install the Nvidia Studio drivers). But this doesn't always work. As an alternative, some members at the client, have access to Bluebeam which does the job fine. But for users who only have Adobe, this is rather problematic.Knowing that Adobe Reader, is probably not the best / recommended PDF app to use when working with larg
Is it possible to add a button that can show a page? Z. E.g. ‘Add page 2’. The user can only see page 2 as soon as this button is pressed.
I made a design with lines in indesign and changed it into a form in adobe acrobat pro. I indicated the formfield for mulitiple lines. I can change the desired font and font color, but where can I change the line height? Problem is that the text is not on the lines I have made.

I simply cannot get on with this new version. I can't even see page numbers. All I require is a reader without any further guff and and adverts. Where can I download an offline installer for an older version. BTW I cannot reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/4jpyTvp... It simply doesn't work.
Subject: Acrobat Icons Not Displaying Correctly in Finder on iMac Hi everyone, I'm running the latest version of macOS (Sequoia) on my M4 iMac and have been experiencing an issue with Adobe Acrobat icons not displaying correctly in Finder. Despite following the correct process to set Acrobat as the default PDF reader (via Get Info > Open With > Change to Acrobat > Apply to All), PDF files still show the Mac Preview/Viewer icons instead of Acrobat icons. I've used Acrobat on Windows PCs for years and appreciate the easy recognition of the red Adobe icon when viewing files and documents. All Microsoft Office icons (Word, Excel, etc) are displaying correctly in Finder, it's just the PDFs which remain stubbornly fixed as the Mac Preview/Viewer icon. Is there an additional setting I need to adjust in either macOS or Acrobat to resolve this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi, I purchased two licenses for Acrobat Pro 2020 Win ESD. When attempting to install it on the first machine (Windows 11, connected with an account in Azure AD), I received an error message stating: "Another installation is in progress. Please complete it before continuing."I have tried several solutions, including restarting the PC, updating Windows, closing programs via Task Manager, using Adobe's software uninstallation tool, and modifying the registry, but none of these resolved the issue. I even created a local administrator account, but the same error persists.I noticed that when I launch the software for the first time, a loading screen briefly appears, but nothing opens. On the second attempt to launch the program, I consistently receive the error message, even though it appears that nothing is running on Windows. To further investigate, I tried installing the software on another PC with a similar configuration (Azure AD and Windows 11), and I encountered the exact same er

Hello, I have been using Acrobat Pro DC to edit my pdf files for a long time now, but just last night, I'm not sure what's happening, I can no longer access any of the PDF files through Acrobat Pro DC. I can open and read them through Acrobat Reader DC just fine, just not the Pro version. Ever time I try to open, I get a pop up like the image I attached. I have tried everything that I know of so far. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program, repairing the program, changing the permission in the Acrobat Pro DC parent files, making sure that all of the permissions for the PDF files are accessible, etc. Is it just a malfunction in the Acrobat Pro DC app or is there something else I can do to repair? Thank you!
Hi all, I've been using Acrobat Reader DC for a while (as this is the reader mandated by our company) and yesterday also installed Acrobat Pro DC (as I now need to created protected documents). While I want to use Acrobat Pro when creating documents, I still wish to open and read documents in Acrobat Reader to ensure that I see documents (and any limitations) that my co-workers/customers would see. My windows file association for .pdf documents still points to Acrobat Reader DC but when I open a .pdf file, it opens in Acrobat Pro. Even if I right-click a .pdf file and click 'Open With > Acrobat Reader DC' it still opens in Acrobat Pro. The only way I have found to get around this issue is to open Acrobat Reader and then open the file from within it (or drag and drop the file onto the window). Is there some way to prevent Acrobat Pro from stealing control of these files? Thank you,Richard
When I click the "Add Text" option and then click on an empty space in the PDF, it correctly enters add text mode. However, when I try to click on any pre-existing text in the PDF, it automatically switches to edit mode. This prevents me from adding my text above the pre-written content.
When starting the Adobe Acrobat 2017 Standard after it was installed from the Adobe Cloud portal. The Login requered popping up, but then it stops in this windows (Look below)We have bought the licens with the license code which was entered during installation, but can not make the product work...
Kind Adobe support, Recently my adobe acrobat is not working anymore. While I try to open a pdf file, it says: "A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error." and the software does not start. I already did all your procedure illustrated here https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/failed-to-connect-to-dde-server.html but they do not work. Can you help to fix this issue ? Looking forward your answer, Kind regards,
I OCR all of my documents and I haven't really noticed this issue until today. After the OCR is run, I do not look at the results, so there's no overlay on. The PDF should essentially look the same as before the OCR process. However, there are these gray bars on top of a couple of lines that do not have text. Why do these appear? What else is it altering? Picture attached.
When I hit "PREPARE" to convert it to a fillable form, it works for most of the spaces, but some of them, which are exactly like the other do not convert to a fillable space. How do I fix it?Thank you
