I have a question about the annotation workflow in the new Acrobat integration with WhatsApp.Suppose Person A annotates a PDF and shares it with Person B. Then Person B adds their own annotations and forwards the updated PDF to Person C.How does Person C know which annotations were made by Person A versus Person B? Are annotations attributed to their respective authors, or do they all appear as a single set of comments? Also, will Person C always see the annotations from Person A, or does that depend on how the PDF is shared or saved? 😟I'm curious how annotation history and authorship are handled in this workflow, especially when documents are passed between multiple people.If anyone has already tried this workflow or has experience with it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I have the following version of Adobe Pro To insert text, Adobe allows me to add a text box via comment or “Add Content” - “Text”If I add text comment, I can fill the background but cannot rotate the text. If I add Text via Add Content, I can rotate but not fill. Explain what I should do. Why does each feature have its own logic instead one cohesive logic?

Hello! I have been working on making an InDesign document ADA compliant and essentially have been teaching myself how to do so. For the document, I have TOCs generated from Headers, which then link to the respective entry pages. When I export it to a PDF, NVDA reads every entry as “link link (entry title) link link, link link” (also to note, doing this in acrobat and not in the browser). Here is what a TOC entry and its respective tags look like. From what I can tell, it seems to be breaking up the line into separate bounding boxes, and NVDA is then rereading the link tags before each bounding box. Also interesting, the reader is not picking up the page number, just the links.I have tried to reorder the tags and boxes but NVDA continues to read it the same way, and I’ve messed around a bit with the hyperlink options in InDesign but that doesnt seem to fix the issue either. Is there any way to fix this? 

Bei mir taucht das Problem seit ca. einem Monat auf. Ich brauche Acrobat für meine Arbeit (Prepress) täglich mehrmals. Nun muss ich TÄGLICH wieder meine Werkzeuge neu laden. Das nervt und kostet Zeit!!! Adobe wird nur noch schlechter, nicht besser.Die hier vorgeschlagene Lösung mit den Haken setzen hat bei mir nichts gebracht. Noch nichtmal für einen Tag.Und Support seitens Adobe gibt’s ja schonmal gar nicht. Programmiert doch wenigstens eine Lösung im PRO an, wo man seinen Arbeitsbereich speichern/laden kann!Auch bei InDesign gab es nie eine Lösung seitens Adobe als mit den neuen Versionen bei über Business verwaltete Lizenzen das ‘zuletzt geöffnete Datei’ plötzlich einfach aus dem Menü verschwunden ist…Kostet mich alles nur noch unnötig Klicks, Nerven und Zeit, die ich nicht habe.😡Sorry, wenn ich das so sage, aber es ist zum Kotzen! Werde meiner Firma vorschlagen, dass wir uns nach einer Adobe-Alternative umschauen.

PDFs open, then turn blank in Acrobat. Disabling New Acrobat helps temporarily, but it re-enables itself. The issue affects all laptops. Adobe, graphics drivers and firmware are up to date.

Just did this in 2026. Why isnt this on the local version? GPT said to “use the Action tool”. Not an option for me

Hi I am having trouble with the Digital Signature Block in Adobe Acrobat Pro. My goal is to create a field that shows the "Sign Here" flag in the upper-left corner, so that when a person clicks the box they are prompted to sign using secure Adobe e-sign with their password-protected Adobe ID credentials. I was able to add a Digital Signature Block field, however when I exit out of the Prepare a Form menu the field only displays as a regular text field. It allows me to enter text but it does not include the "Sign Here" flag and does not prompt me to sign using my Adobe password-protected credentials. I have followed the troubleshooting steps below. I want PDF files of my Gmail account to keep maintaining reports of court documents. I face challenges in making PDF every day in my Gmail account because Gmail does not allow me to make PDFs in batches, which becomes frustrating when I need to submit more than thousands of pdf file to the courtroom. So, is any one know the easiest way to create schedule automatic email backups in PDF format? Please suggest!

I am using Creative Cloud Enterprise through my organization. I need to edit a PDF that is in my cloud, but the web version of Acrobat Pro will not allow me to edit the file. When I try to install Acrobat Pro through the Creative Cloud Desktop, the app gives me a little notice that says "we're sorry this is taking longer than usual..." and eventually the install will fail.There are no versions of Acrobat already installed or partially uninstalled. There are no extra folders in the Adobe folder that should be deleted. I use export bookmark report commands frequently. Acrobat DC Pro has always limited the bookmarks it exports to a certain number of characters—too few in most of my cases. Is there a workaround available that would let me create a bookmark report that captures longer bookmarks?

The measuring tool could be a very useful part of the adobe acrobat suite- IF it was less laggy and slow on a Laptop that handles most intensive apps. Also- Why not enable your AI assistant to scan a PDF drawing, find the SCALE and add common measurements to a PDF drawing that has no measurements noted.  Then let you add to these measurements. That would save a lot of time….

I try to install Adobe, but I have the  problem that it won’t do so

I have this version of Adobe Pro:I created a “Text” via “Add Content”. I want to move the text to the dotted line. Why can’t I move it?  What setting should I be in? What pointer type should be using? Why are basic things incredibly frustrating to do? 

Hello everyone,I am an Adobe Acrobat Pro subscriber, and I have been experiencing a very frustrating issue with AI Assistant.The feature is extremely slow and, in many cases, ends with the following error message:"Something went wrong. Please try again later."Even very simple requests are taking an unreasonable amount of time. For example, I asked AI Assistant to simply define the word "fluke", and after waiting more than five minutes, it still had not produced a response. Sometimes it eventually displays the error above instead of answering.This completely defeats the purpose of paying for an AI-powered feature that is supposed to provide quick assistance.What I have already tried Updated Windows to the latest version. Updated Adobe Acrobat to the latest version. Restarted my computer. Signed out of my Adobe account and signed back in. Tested multiple PDF files. Closed and reopened Acrobat several times. Hello, I need to disable the grey pop-ups that display alt text when hovering over images. However, I need to do this while keeping the alt text embedded in the document for obvious accessibility reasons. That is, the document must remain accessible and meet all accessibility requirements, but I need these pop-ups not to appear when they are not needed. This is essential for presenting work in settings where no accessibility support is needed, while the document retains accessibility features for other instances. Please let me know how to do this.  Thank you.

Why was the option to turn off generative AI taken away with the 7.23.26 acrobat update?! I’ve been avoiding doing any updates since that usually makes the software unusable until everyone freaks out on these forums and then they reluctantly fix it without acknowledging the issue (sometimes without even pushing an update….. explain that). So my software, v. 26.001.21677, stopped working today after Adobe pushed their latest faulty update yesterday.  Crashing, accessibility tags not tagging, the usual nonsense from Adobe.  Reluctantly I uninstalled and reinstalled the software to the latest version and low and behold….no more option to turn off AI.  ADOBE EXPLAIN YOURSELVES 

The free website tool appears to only allow 2 merges before locks into continual display of Adobe Pro offer every time you try to select files. This has nothing to do with number of pages etc. It is tied to number of uses/pdf(s) attempted to be made.Is the number of pdf(s) merged for free limited and why?

I’ve noticed this for a few months, but reached my breaking point now, Acrobat has this weird bug where pretty much, if a webpage more than 2 or 3 images, then it does not save the images and produces “general error” messages without explaining. I have not been able to figure out how to fix this or what is causing it, but it’s getting annoying. I included a Wikipedia page with a lot of images to illustrate. The version is 2026.001.21651, it’s a recent update but it’s been doing since about March? The steps to replicate are to “Create” then “Web Page” then put in the URL and then the “Create” button. 

How can I post more than 500 hundred characters in AI Assistant regarding the same subject?

Over the last several updates, one problem has persisted: Acrobat lags until it freezes for several seconds on opening any file — gigabyte-sized print files or a tiny invoice, same result. The file displays, but I can't even manage to click "Print" before it locks up, sometimes for 10, sometimes even up to 60 seconds.This isn't a machine problem — I can run InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop simultaneously without issue (13600K, NVIDIA GPU, 64GB RAM, NVMe). I can even fire open all those three apps while Acrobat is in its hibernation status (tested). Once Acrobat is open, it's fast — opening, scrolling, editing multiple files is fine. The freeze only happens on a fresh launch/open.What fixes it (temporarily): Deactivating plugins I don't use — Dropbox integration, Accessibility, etc. — restores performance immediately. But…Every update reintroduces the default plugin set, so the fix has to be repeated (this is now like the 5th time or so for me) The app doesn't handle the missing plu

Table of Contents generated in Adobe Indesign is not being read in the Read Out Loud function in Acrobat. This also applies to PDFs created previously which worked fine on the old version of Acrobat.
