I have converted a Word doc to pdf and signed it using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Now I want to save it. However, I cannot fogure out to do this. It says I have saved a read-only file, which is fine, but how do I access it? Where do I find it? It gives me the option of creating a link. I don't want a link. I want to save the doc to whatever file folder I choose to. I bet it's something simple and I'm just not seeing it. Can smeone help? Thanks in advance.
Darnit Adobe! This has been the response for the last half-hour and it hasn't even moved! How am I supposed to work? Ah, finally... I see I can use the Create PDF and the combine option still works THERE. Why not just send me there? Whole program running choppy & none of the other tools on that screen are working while it "updates." Thanks for killing an hour for me.
All of my documents are requiring me to create a new copy if I try to continue working on them after saving or sharing. I beleive this is because I created a e-signature docuemnt and may have modify my settings for all documents. Help!

We would like to explore the option of implementing a new document action that triggers the code to validate the necessary mandatory fields prior to printing the form. Validate and Print function is working perfectly. But when we do ctrl + P, then this validation don't work. How to invoke validation before ctrl+P or print symbol on the top. Let me knwo any solution.
How can I stop this feature/turn it off? It's really annoying to have to constantly click beside a field and drag a checkmark or X over to a line or box because Adobe insists on being helpful.

Thanks to the wonderful @try67 I have nearly wrestled a document into submission. However, I need to amend some summary fields and the fields to pick have all disappeared. Has Acrobat just collapsed under the weight of all the fields?!?! I am writing scripts which do work but it's a slower way of doing things, and I have written a lot of these summary fields so every time I need to amend one I need to write a new script. Any idea how I can sort this? Thank you.
Just like the subject says, I've been using Adobe Acrobat to remediate files that need to go on my company's website. The auto tagging process has been a godsend for some of the larger files we have so I can go through and just fix any errors from the process VS having to manually tag everything. At the end of last week, I started receiving a message stating that auto tagging does not work for files over a certain size (100MB) or over 200 pages. I had never received this before despite handling documents this size several times in the past. I initially thought this was a new message pertaining specifically to the cloud auto tagging solution, so I unselected the cloud auto tagging, but I am still receiving the error when trying to use local auto tagging. Did a change go into effect that has reduced the efficacy of this important feature or are there additional settings I need to adjust to restore the functionality for large documents? I have an enterprise level account through my o
While at work, I batch convert PDF documents to PDF/As (for digital preservation) using a separate computer from my laptop. However, after a recent update of the 2nd computer's Adobe Acrobat Pro application, I no longer see "PDF/A" as an option for document conversion in the "Converting From PDF" preferences (I know it was available in previous versions as I've done batch conversions to PDF/As on this machine before). I still see PDF/A as an option in the preferences on the Adobe Acrobat Pro application on my laptop. The application on the spare computer was last updated in December 2023, while my laptop application was last updated in January 2024. Has anyone else run into this problem?
Using Acrobat Pro I created a fillable PDF form for my clients who copy and paste a large amount of information. Because they are using Acrobat Reader, I have designated text field properties with desired font and size, multi-line, check spelling, etc...and enabled "rich text formatting" so that they can manipulate their "raw" text as needed to be bold, italic, underlined, etc. However, when my client attempts to copy/paste source text into the desired form field, the information is retaining "source" formatting rather than what is already designated in the field properties. (Even occurs when source text is .txt - raw 'unformatted text'.) Yes, I get that this is relates to the designation of "Rich Text Formatting." Does anyone have a Custom Format Script to use to circumvent the issue? Thanks in advance!
I've just done an overprint check after some errors came back from the printer. We're able to see some text on a dark background does get printed over when we turn on Overprint Preview in InDesign but this doesn't seem to be the case with the PDF the printer sent back to us that they used. I've tried a few other test runs with different documents but the Overprint Preview in the latest version of Acrobat seemingly doesn't work at all.
Hey. I've got data where the font type3 is not displaying properly. When I open it in Adobe Acrobat Pro I only see a black object. In fact there is a barcode. However, when I open the data in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, I can see the barcode. I could not find the error in the program settings. Can you please advise me where I can find some display settings?

Hello,Windows 11 Machine, PDF file is being accessed on a workstation but is saved on a server. Is secured and requires password to edit. I have rebooted, ran a repair, done a full reinstall, turned off accessability assistive support in preferences and Protected View is turned off. But, as the title says, I cannot delete pages from the file or any file for that matter as it freezes until I force it to close. Was working fine until yesterday. Any other suggestions would help. I have run through all the solutions here, except for the 5th step, as I NEED to user this windows account. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html
Hi All,I've noticed that from time to time, when I open a PDF in Adobe Pro, the background displayed is transparent instead of white (it appears white in the preview). Has anyone had this issue come up, and did you figure out what the fix was? I'm hoping it's just a setting I need to change. I did a search of the forums here but couldnt find anything that seemed to fit.Any guidance appreciated!Cheers, Steve

I have a pdf document with a graph containing a line of two digit values (17 of them), e.g., 74 63 59 72 ...I have written a program that checks each value against a specified value to determine if the displayed calue is greater than the specified one. If it is, I need to draw a red box arouund the displayed value to indicate it exceeds the specified one. If not possible, I need some way to indicate the exceptions, e.g., changing the font color for that displayed value. VBA, Javascript, or a language suggested by you are all acceptable.
I am a bit new to tagging in PDF's, so not sure if this is me or a limitation/compatibility issue.....I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019 on a Windows 10 machine to create accessible PDF's from a variety of sources. I generally use the "autotag" function to add tags to the content so that it becomes relatively accessible and I can edit it from there. However, I'm running into a problem with a Google Slides presentation that I saved as a PDF and then opened in Acrobat to make accessible. In Slides I have used the "alt text" and other accessibility features to mark it up for accessibility as much as is practical. When I open the PDF in Acrobat Pro and go to the tags tool, it says "no tags available". So, I open the accessibility tool and click "Autotag document". The recognition report comes up and says 26 figures are missing alt text. Okay, no big deal - so I start scrolling through the document or clicking on tags to get to those items and correct th
I use a test pit form that has many fields. When I am done with a project I want all of these forms say 2 to 10 depending on the project to be in the same pdf file. I do not want to ge through each fiel and change each field to blahblah page 2 and then page 3 etc. If i don't do this and combine they are all identical. So I have been flatening. This is an extremely irritating process that must have a work around. flattening each page separately with a new name and then combining the files wastes so much time say bad things to my computer (that I would not want to repeat here). There must be another way. Of course I am using Acrobat Pro and probably in the wrong forum. I can't wait to hear that.
Hi Adobe community and support, I have gone through numerous community forum posts about this error, and people claim it works, but I have not had success after several hours of work trying typical fixes and even full uninstall reinstall of adobe acrobat and office 365. User has Mac M2 chip, on Sonoma OS. I am looking for that needle in a haystack, something unique. The error user gets on opening Powerpoint files is this: pop up heading reads "Visual Basic for Applications". Screenshot attached, behind it, showing the exact folder location of the file it claims is "missing".
