We tried to convert a PostScript file containing /Shading with Domain of [0 100.00128] and the same function Domain to PDF file using Adobe Acrobat Distiller (find minimal samples `test.ps` and sample job options `min_joboptions_shading.txt` attached). The resulting PDF file (ex. `test.pdf` attached) fails to properly render on Adobe Acrobat (version tested 2025.001.21184). Scrolling through pages containing the Shading throws an error “A drawing error occurred”. Upon closer investigation, Distiller seems to have “truncated” or rounded Function Domain float value from 100.00128 to 100.0 (`screenshot_domains_after_distill.png`). It is likely a problem in itself (as the Function Domain should be a superset of Shading Domain), but we are not sure this is exactly what causes Acrobat drawing error on the page. Some other PDF readers we tried managed to open and render this PDF. Expected behavior: Distiller maintains PS /Shading info. PDF produced with Distiller is properly displayed using A

HiI am trying to install Adobe and everytime it gets failed when reached at 50% so I tried installing from direct download link and it gave me error 150201.I have deleted the folders from Program FilesUser - Local and RoamingUninstalled from the laptop Please let me know what other options I can perform? Thank you 

I can’t install Adobe PDF Printer on my Microsoft Surface Pro, Windows 11, Acrobat 2024 (Classic) I Have of course read as much as possible but no success. Have also tried all the steps https://helpx.adobe.com/se/acrobat/desktop/troubleshoot/print-scan-issues/printer-missing.html I does not appear in the list of printers. When trying to manually add a new printer I can not find the port “Documents*.pdf (Adobe PDF)”I have also tried to create a new port with different names, such as “Adobe PDF (local port). It takes me one step further and I click that I have installation disk with path C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat Classic\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF.A list of 10 “Adope PDF Converter” appear and I have tried them all resulting in error “Printer driver is not installed. Unable to find the file” I have no more ideas. What can I do?  

When one converts a piece of paper to an electronic document,   all too often they are simply scanned at the "whatever" setting and saved as a JPEG. This is not surprising because JPEG is a format that most people have heard of so it's a "safe" format to select. Some scanners have an option to save as a PDF and that is preferable to a JPEG, but there are two areas this leaves off: a clean scan and a search-able PDF.First off, let me explain what I mean by a clean scan: our eyes are very forgiving. We look at a newspaper and see black text on  paper and we pretty much ignore that the paper is  non-white. The scanner doesn't know the paper is supposed to be white so it records it for what it is: not white. I have Adobe for Enterprise plan through my company. I am trying to request e-signatures, but am being blocked by a "Agreement creation quota of the user is exhausted" message. Can someone please explain / help?

Buenas:Tenemos un caso en el que el usuario abre cualquier documento de Adobe y, en la barra lateral izquierda, donde aparecen todas las herramientas, sólo aparecen dos: Asistente de IA y Resumen generativo. El resto de herramientas no aparecen. Hemos reparado y reinstalado Adobe, pero siguen apareciendo sólo dos herramientas. Hemos iniciado sesión con otra cuenta de Adobe y siguen sin aparecer. Sin embargo, hemos iniciado sesión en el equipo con un usuario distinto y si aparecen todas las herramientas. Creemos que es alguna configuración que se ha aplicado y no sabemos cual es. Hemos revisado todas las preferencias y las opciones del menú "VER" sin poder resolver el problema. Necesitamos saber cómo poner de nuevo todas las herramientas en la barra de herramientas.Tenemos Adobe Acrobat Pro actualizado y el Sistema Operativo es Windows 11, el cual también está actualizado a día de hoy.Adjunto una imagen de cómo se ve la barra de herramientas a la que me refiero.  

Many times I delete the bookmarks from downloaded statements, close the bookmarks panel and save the file. However every time I open the pdf, the bookmarks panel displays without any bookmarks and covers 75% of the pdf window so I have to close it every time I open the file.How can I permanently stop the bookmarks panel from displaying every time I open a pdf?

Hello all, I have some users that when they receive pdf’s and save them, if they double click the pdf it gives an error that it could not open the font.  If I open adobe first then drag and drop or do file open then the pdf in question opens without any issues.I’ve tried opening the pdf on other computers and it will open without error, so i know its something on their machines, any help would be greatly appreciated.I’ve tried uninstall and re-install, I’ve tried font downloads through creative cloud.No preview enabled in windows explorer.Uncheck privacy settings in adobe.I’ve used pre flight to embed the fonts and if I save it after that the use can open it.  

In the last two days, every time I attempt to “Create Tag From Selection,” it does not display my tag and the tags surrounding that area in the Accessibility tags tree also delete themselves. This seems to only happen in my longer documents (more than ten pages). I can still create tags from selections in my documents under ten pages. Was there an update that could have caused this? What’s the best of getting technical support? 

Missing Check for updates option in adobe. Not seeing updater option in adobe preferences. I am using MAC. Check through creative cloud and it says adobe is up to date.

I use Acrobat to just read documents, I would like to have a simple UI without the tools, pop-ups, AI analysis tools, the Tool bar, the top bar and ONLY show the PDF or Text file. I don’t need the all this UI bloat. I just need to READ A DOCUMENT. can we just do this by default please?

 Hi fellow Acrobat users,i am struggeling with creating an action under the current Acrobat Pro, which includes “Data Merge”.As you can see in the screenshot below, data merge is available for me under the “Go To” section,but (as with any other tool from this section) won’t give me the option to specifiy the details or the chance to turn the “prompt user” on or off, which makes it useless for me.  Since i took the whole day searching for solutions, i stumbled upon a few guides which showed the “Data Merge” option beeing under “More Tools”, which worked just fine and gave the user the opportunity to specify the needed details, but it just isn’t there for me. For example, take a look at this youtube clip. A the 1 minute mark you will see what i mean.: Strangely enough, it seems this is not just limited to me or my company, as i called a few other users from different companies, which have the exact same “problem” (if it is one, or i am just to stupid to find out how it should work). We have been creating and sending adobe documents for signature on our accounting system but when they come back signed and we open them it is saying Helvetica and Ariel fonts cannot be found.  Once opened the documents are appearing blank.  How do we fix this? Thanks  

Ich möchte eine PDF-Datei mit Kommentaren so ausdrucken, dass auf der linken Seite des Ausdruckes die PDF-Seite abgebildet ist und rechts die Kommentare aufgelistet sind. Aktuell bekomme ich das nur so hin, dass die Kommentare auf einer separaten Seite (siehe Screenshot) aufgelistet sind. In Word gibt es eine ähnliche Funktion (siehe Screenshot). Vor einigen Jahren habe ich eine Tastenkombination dafür gekannt, diese habe ich leider vergessen… Wer hat eine Idee? 

Hello, I just noticed that the PDF displays the drop shadow as a flat rectangle in Acrobat.Compared to other previews (Apple or Foxit PDF Reader), this currently only seems to occur in Acrobat.Does this have anything to do with the Adobe PDF Library which is used in Acrobat for rendering? The file was reduced to the objects causing the problem.According to the document info, the original file was previously created in InDesign.

Im sure this has been asked before but I cant find a recent answer. I have run a signed-in adobe acrobat previously on my Home PC, but now the licence is installed on my work PC and laptop. Now I cant even read a pdf on my Home PC withough it trying to sign me in. Is there a way around this?ORIs signing in with my paid subscription the worst thing I could have done on my home PC and I am now being punished for having a paid subscription? Regards   

Hello, I'm getting an error "Cannot extract the embedded font ...." and some caracters are not displayed (The file reads perfectly on edge, firefox, pdf24, evince and okular. The font is Raleway. The same error occurs with Montserrat and Arimo.It happens only with italic or italic-bold sections of the file. Example file attached.

I posted this under the Adobe Sign forum but have not received any replies from Adobe in weeks, so trying here as well. Hello, I have searched around looking for an answer to this issue and have in fact tried a few options on my own but am finding I need an official answer from Adobe. We have been trying to migrate to using Sign in our now-remote environement and it has been helpful in many ways....except when it comes to contracts. When a contract is being reviewed, there are often many supporting documents that are required...Excel files, other PDFs, Word documents, jpegs, and so on. I have tried text tags with prefill options and I have tried the 'add files' option when setting up for signature, but all that does is convert the files to PDFs and add them to the contract document to be signed. I find it hard to believe that Adobe would offer up Sign, a system with workflow for signatures for major contracts, but not offer something within that system for handling suppo

I have exhausted all trouble shooting options I can find. I the past I have been able to password protect a pdf to allow LO RES PRINTING and no copying. This is/was essential for my workflow as a graphic designer.Now, when I password protect. Select the options and save. The PDF will not print.It throws a warning and prints blank pages.HELP I  need a solution fast. 

Wher do I find official support resources ? Even this post is difficult to do.

Did a Window 11 update and restart end of work Friday. Came back today (Monday) and opened all the stuff I need to do my job- Illustrator, Framemaker, loaded CAD models (which are complex and take a significant amount of time), spreadsheets, explorer windows, etc. It's a process.  Then I get a notification that Acrobat has updated and update will be applied AFTER a restart. How handy that I JUST DID THAT! Go about my business and make a bunch of pages for a parts document in Illustrator, make the Framemaker document, then go to export a pdf copy as usual... and the process fails. Restart Framemaker and try again. Process fails. Then I get a notification that I can't use Acrobat unless I restart. Great. I have ALL of the stuff loaded that I need to do my job for the day. I could even leave it all week and be good, but now I have to restart and do it all again because Acrobat requires a system restart.  This is a HUGE waste of time. Why does this program req

Received a PDF from a client and when I open the thumbnail view I get a CIDFont+F1 contains bad/widths error. When I print it looks terrible. If I select those pages with the issue and export extract those out the exported extracted looks perfect and has no errors. This is all done on the same PC. Any suggestions on how to stop getting the CIDFont error or an explanation as to why the export extracting may have worked?[moderator changed the wordings as the OP made an edit mistake. This is done so that anyone reading OP's message understands correctly what the OP did]

I have multiple PDFs created in Indesign where charts / images have been placed within the text thread and with relevant alt text applied. This was never a problem until recently...Acrobat now skips the figures and fails to read out aloud the alt text, even with PDFs created previously which had worked fine in older versions of Acrobat, however I haven’t pinpointed exactly when this started.The screenshot of the tags panel shows the <Figure> tag contained within a <P> tag. My understanding is this is due to the figure having been inserted into the text thread within indesign. Once the <Figure> is placed outside the <P> it works fine in Acrobat, but as I said, this was never an issue. I have 100s of archived PDFs which worked fine previously so would like to find a solution which didn’t require this additional step for every figure.Hopefully you can help!

I had major problems installing Windows 11 on my PCs and had to reinitialize 2 PCs. Apparently my Acrobat XI Pro considered they were new PCs, so refused my activations. I’m not sure also former PCs were properly deactivated. How can I ask somebody from Acrobat to deactivate all present and former PCs so I can activate the two I presently use?
