Hello! Hello All, Is there a way to publish a RoboHelp 2017 project to a Salesforce knowledge article? Or do I need to have an upgraded version of RoboHelp in order to do that?

Hi, Everyone. I've created a master page that is causing issues. When I apply it to an output preset, at least three problems result when I serve the help system on SharePoint: My end-user experiences an unresponsive "Expand All" button. (NOTE:  I do not experience this issue via my computer.)My end-user is unable to open drop-down text. (NOTE:  I am able to open the drop-downs via my own computer.)The end-user sees a table-cell border dividing the two-cell table that I've built into the master page. They're not supposed to see any borders. (NOTE:  I do not see the border via my computer.) Also noteworthy: when I generate output with "None" selected in the Master Page area, the issues do not appear. Here's a screenshot of the master page in question (below). Any advice for me? Hi Team,I am using Robohelp 2019 latest UI since Jan 2020,During that time all the outputs i have generated (frameless, Responsive HTML5, etc.,) went well. Last few weeks i am facing major problem in generating outputs. Those issues are: A. Framless Output issues: (PFA)------------------------------------1. Tiles icons (.png) not loading. Cross checked the same in Templates folder images are available,2. Header and Footer fonts allignments are not inline,3. Left Panel contents allignments are not inline,4. Container Background images are not proper (radius value is taking by default)B. Word and PDF Output issues:-----------------------------------1. Except Contents. Index and Glossary are getting generated (.doc and PDF) same has been attached in attachments.Note: Everything is working fine only with Adobe RoboHelp Sample Project. kindly guide me on this.

Once i create my topics in robohelp, is it possible to publish in my wordpress blog??If yes, do i need to download any special plugin for wordpress??

I've been using RoboHelp Classic 2019. Once I choose HTML5 as output it creates a Responsive HTML5 folder in the SSL folder, so far so good. However, I used to generate CHM of this help (so long ago) and I've had IDs attached to each topic (so that my help it was a context-sensitive help). My doubt is "How can I keep it with HTML5? How can I not lose my IDs for keeping it?". Because when I've generated I didn't find my Map of IDs list (my .H file), so I don't know how to do it. Maybe you can help me, thanks in advance!

I inserted several bookmarks into a snippet content and then created hyperlinks targeting these bookmarks to facilitate navigation on the page (hyperlinks are placed on top of the same snippet content). The problem is that when using these hyperlinks on pages (after generating layout output) using the snippet content, I get an error message indicating that target is not find (the address mentionned is .... /!SSL!/FlashHelp/#bookmarkname). I have two questions : 1- Can we insert bookmarks within a snippet content? 2- Can we create hyperlinks targeting bookmarks where both elements are on the same snippet content? Thanks. Jean Laurier

This apparently has been a long-standing issue.   I ee a prior post on the subject here in relation to RH 2019 but I see things have not changed since then. This is a defect in the product and I think a fix should be a high priority. The problem:  We have multiple authors working on th same RH project.   I use MacOS, the others are Windows.   In the output presents you currently must enter a full pathname for the favicon and the output directory fields.   If you try to enter a relative path name (such as "../output/pub1/") you actually get an error message that this is not allowed. On the Mac full pathnames start with "/" and on Windows it starts with a drive letter like "C:/".   So Mac Users and Windows users cannot use the same presets. More than that, if the output directory is in a user directory, the path name will include the user directory root element.   So presets cannot be shared for that reason as well.   The soluti

Our RoboHelp project is under source control and ideally we would like our generated output to appear in a folder relative to where the .rhproj file is located. Robohelp 2019 does not allow relative paths, which is a pain if multiple writers are working on the project (they have their own copies, and the project is under source control). Any workarounds other than a directory symbolic link?

My question involves importing a FrameMaker or RoboHelp project into Madcap Flare.In the past, I produced my documentation as follows:* Content was generated in FrameMaker. A PDF was generated using FrameMaker.* RoboHelp was linked to FrameMaker. Content from FrameMaker was automatically updated in RoboHelp. WebHelp was generated using RoboHelp.The content in both FrameMaker and RoboHelp was identical.I now want to import that content into Madcap Flare. Here is my question:* Is it better to import the content from FrameMaker into Flare? Or from RoboHep into Flare?In other words, what are the pros and cons of each option?Thank you for any comments you can provide!Keith

Greetings, I use Adobe RoboHelp Classic 2019.  We use .chm as our primary output and for some other requirements, we also print the project in MS-Word. Recently, I noticed some of the chapters aren't getting included in the Word output.  Does anyone have any pointers as to what may be the reason? Regards,Ranjit

I know this has been discussed a few times but I had trouble finding the solution to my question. If it has been answered kindly send me the link to the solution. I am using Robohelp2019 and am wanting to add a button that will email the URL link to a topic page. I've tried solutions that return either the name of the htm document or gives the path to the document on the server. I am wanting a link to the URL where the recipient can click and be directed to that particular page of the manual. Thanks for your help.

Hi, Everyone. What is it called when you set a specific topic to open first? Not "default topic," which it may have been called in a much older version of RH. I'm looking for this in the RH User manual, but can't find it. Thank you! 

Hello,I am not sure if I am just missing a step here.  I am using the mac RH 2020.3.36 build.  I use git (bitbucket) for versioning control.  After deleting my merged branches on bitbucket, I am still seeing them as available branches when i go to Collaborate > Switch Branches.  I have tried the refresh button, Status Refresh, and closing/opening the app. Is there some profile file that i need to edit to remove these deleted branches from the dropdown? 

I created an Online type TOC with Sections and "sub" sections. When I output a Word file with that TOC, the top-level sections come through as Heading 1s as I'd expect, however the sub-section "Tasks" is not in the Word file at all. Am I missing something? I tried to start RH 2019 (NewUI) this morning. It displayed some licensing prompt, that I don't remember seeing before, I clicked Ok, then it began to start up as normal. It showed the initial startup screen, then went away.There is an icon on the task bar, but clicking it does nothing. I can right-click the icon and choose RH 2019 and it will attempt to start again, but after showing the initial startup screen, it goes away -- and then when I hover over the task bar icon, I then see two instances of RH, none of which actually open the application.This copy of RH was part of a TCS purchase, not a subscription. FrameMaker and Acrobat both start and work fine.I'm running on Windows 10 Enterprise 2004 (not a Mac). I last tried to start RoboHelp on 1/16/21 and it worked okay then. I have rebooted to see if that made a difference. It did not. I have also used Task Manager to kill any instances of Robohelp before trying to restart it. It did not make a difference either.Please advise. Thanks

I am not able to  center the title in  header and topic page in Frameless output(studio skin). Tried increasing the indent to get the title to center. If I do so, in mobile view, title goes out of title bar (shows only 2 characters of my title) and the tool bar box also goes out title bar. 

I just opened a RoboHelp Classic project with the "Upgrade" option in RoboHelp 2019, but it appears empty/blank. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I upgraded to a new laptop with Windows 10 (previously was using Windows 😎 and now the display in my RoboHelp Classic projects is very tiny and squished. I've tried adjusting the display in Scale and Layout Settings in System > Settings, but while the font can be increased, the display is still "off" and not really usuable. I've also tried changing settings in the RoboHelp > Properties > Compatibility menus, but success. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so, were you able to resolve it? Thanks.

Hello, Our support team has reported numerous search performance issues with the search performance in generated Frameless output. The issues reported by them are:Enter a search term OR pick a suggested search term from predictive textClick the find icon to start the searchWait for the search to executeSearch takes a very long time to return results (120+ seconds) OR the browser returns a "Not Responding" error and prompts the user to reload the pageThe issues occur across browsers and OS's. Hello, we're trying to export the XLIFF files from a RoboHelp 2020 project, to send over to our translation management system (Smartling). However, Smartling is unable to parse the XLIFF files, and our contact there is telling us that the XLIFF files are not "compliant with v1.2 standards." Specifically, he said that the strings to be translated need to be wrapped within <source> tags. The XLIFF that RoboHelp generates does not do this. As you can see here, the <source> tags are empty, with no content to be translated. Curious if anyone else has run into this issue, and if anyone has a solution or a workaround. One of the primary reasons we just upgraded to RH 2020 was so we could use this XLIFF export for translation, and to now discover that RH spits out malformed XLIFF is very frustrating.  -Jason
