RoboHelp

Working on a project using RoboHelp 2020. Would like to organize a large number of snippets using categories. The RH online help says "In the Snippets panel, selet +, and then select Category. I do not see an option for category. When I click on +, I am only given a dialog box to create a snippet. What am I overlooking?

Users are liking <h2>  headings as dropdowns in some longer topics. I would like to use the Mini-Toc link to not only target the <h2> but open the dropdown. (Users have asked why this doesn't happen.) A search does a pretty good job of delivering this. Is there some class or a javascript I can add to the links? 

Hi All,I've a project through which I'm generating Word output in RH 2022. I have applied thumbnails to the images that exceed 1300 px in size. In Word output, the same image is falling outside the page. How to control this behavior in Word output? Do I need to manually adjust in Word or is there any option to control it? 

Dear Friends, the new function is great to publish directly to Confluence. I face some issues - maybe someone already solved that:1. The order of the pages in Confluence is not the same as in the published TOC used for the export. How to get the same order/sequence of pages?2. Folders will be an extra site in Confluence, but without any text. This is not that nice. Is there a possibility to fill the empty page (which is a Folder in RH) with content?3. Formatting is not always correct - is there a way to optimize it? e.g. Templates in Confluence instead of inline styles?Many thanks for every appreciated hint.enjoy

Some drop-downs in my project are not working when published, even though they display correctly in my output preview. One difference I noticed when comparing drop-downs that work correctly vs. those that do not work, is the ones that work correctly are labeled as Drop-Down Title type in the Content Properties pane. The drop-downs that don't work just display as "drop spot" style. For context on how I publish, I generate my output to my C drive and then upload the files for my IT team to publish to our Help Center webpage.

I am running RH 2022.3.93 version. When I click to begin the Responsive HTML5 Output, I recieve the application error message telling me to restart. The output is created and I can view it. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?Thanks!

Where can I find 2022.0 for mac? This is the version we are using and I have it installed on my Windows machines, but not on Mac

I compiled a help project today and received multiple warnings.  One of the warnings indicated my browse sequence file was external and would not be copied to the output folder.  I generate three other versions of the project using conditional build tags.  I tried each of them, and all of them still worked as expected.  As part of my troubleshooting process, I restored the browse sequence for the version of the project on which I was getting the warnings.  The project generated without warnings.  I deleted one topic from the browse sequence and added one topic to the browse sequence using the UI.  When I generated the project, I again recieved multiple warnings.  I examined the .brs file in NotePad++. The system had copied the first topic in the browse sequence (the welcome topic) to the end of the browse sequence, duplicating the topic in the browse sequence, and did not put a line separator between that topic and the closing browse sequence tag

I'm having a similar issue. It looks like RH is looking for a Temp folder that it failed to create. Hi guys, trying to figure out with new Robo feature, but after pressing Create a link robo returns an error.  Adobe Creative Cloud is installed and I logged in it with the same user as in RoboHelp.  Any suggestions?

I followed Peter Grainge's instructions for displaying fonts on devices that don't have the installed fonts by adding the @11220649-face text to the CSS file. The URL file, Inter-VariableFont_slnt,wght.ttf, contains several variations of the font (e.g., Light, Medium, SemiBold, etc.) which I use for drop-down text and subheadings. The majority of my styles use the primary font which is Inter. The text I added to the CSS file initially was: @11220649-face {font-family: "Inter";src: url("Inter-VariableFont_slnt,wght.ttf");}   However, when I viewed the output on a different computer, it converted the Inter Light, Inter Medium, etc. text to Inter. Since variables of the primary font (e.g., "font-family: 'Inter Light';", "font-family: 'Inter Medium';", etc.) are in the CSS, I added similar @11220649-face text for the other three. Hi all,Apologies if someone has already asked this, but I would like to replace all my RH 2017 drop-downs with expanded text. The issue is that I have a lot of drop-downs in my project, so doing this manually is not an option. Has anyone encounter this issue before? Do you know if there's a way of doing this automatically? The idea is to try to replace all the drop-downs with something else that preserves the content inside the drop-downs. Any ideas are more than welcome. 🙂 Thanks in advance!

I am having a difficult time trying to use "see also". I have a topic entitled ABC and another topic that has a refference to ABC (e.g. see ABC). how do I get "See Allso" to work in 2022 (link to a tutorial would be of some help).

Hi, I saved over an existing image and then inserted the new image into my project. But even though I got rid of the old image, it is still the one that displays.  Does anyone know what is going on? I could rename the image instead of saving over it, but that would cost me a lot of time.  Thanks, Julianna

We are using ADO with GIT for our version control. Has anyone had experience connecting ADO (using Team Server or GIT connection profiles) to RoboHelp 2019?  We think that Team Server is the best option, but I don't have Studio installed on my local machine (I don't need it) and so are struggling with how to provide the required TFS client (possibly Team explorer). Any advice would be greaty appreicated.

I'm using the BlueLagoon frameless skin in RH 2022. When I generate the project, RH randomly inserts extra space in the TOC after the last topic in a section. What could be causing this?

I have a RH project I've been responsible for long term. Discovered today an issue with one page-- when I generate the output and look at it on my device before sending it to our technical team for deployment, one page is blank except for the Master Page and skin. The content of the page is blank. I deleted the page and ceated it anew and I'm having the same issue. What am I missing? 

With the Review functionality, I've sent some pages to Creative Cloud ansd configured to be accessible by all having the link.But I cannot use  any of the tools - highlight, strikethrough, etc.- except Pin and Comment.And also once I experienced that the comments left by the reviewer did not display in the browser. I could only see them in the notification email in my inbox, but when following the link no files displayed at all. What it might be? I experienced this only once because we didn't use the Robohelp afrter that bad review experience(Please help resolveThank you for the help. Dear RH-cousers,I've performed generating output (resposive HTML) and publishing it with the Output tab.And I now want to see the Publish Log file and cannot find it.The rigth -click menu of the preset opens the publish log file in RH but it's empty. I copy the file path (still with the rigth -click menu of the preset) -- /RHTMP/Material Management v. 2.ehtml --  But there is no such a file on my computerPlease help locate it. I was able to locate and open the file with some previous RH version back in April. It started with "Initializing publishing to Profi..." wordsRH Version 2022.2.22

I know this was easy years ago and it should be today. I want to publish a book to PDF with bookmakes on the side of the PDF file that has each chapter listed with a hyperlink. I just can't remember where to set this up. Please someone point me in the right direstion. 

I  have tried to add a project font (under File > Project Settings > Font List.I can add the font family name but I am unable to add the import for the font e.g. .font-family-roboto {font-family: Roboto, 'Franklin Gothic Medium', Tahoma, sans-serif;font-weight: 300;font-size: 1.25em;} Along with the @1552174:@1552174 url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Roboto:ital,wght@0,100;0,300;0,400;0,500;0,700;0,900;1,100;1,300;1,400;1,500;1,700;1,900&display=swap'); I have included in the projects default.css, but unable to add for project settings.Regards Rich 

I've created a table where the first row is to be a repeating header row using the <thead> tag. I have also applied condition tags to the first two columns of the same table, to use for internal audience only. Unfortunately, the two things do not play well together. Although the header row is repeated, it does not remove/hide/exclude the first two cells of the row (the ones that should be excluded by the condition tags. The remaining rows of the table are properly reduced to just the one column. Any ideas of how I can stop this override?

Hello, I am using latest version of Robohelp and got an output with Frameless skin (Studio). There is one feature 'Remove Highlight'. I am not able to find the use of this. When clicked it does nothing for me. Could you please suggest how to use this.  Kindly suggest. Thank you! 

I read abbout skins and there is no reference to skins in version 2022.3.93. Is ehre another link for help with version 2022.3? Where can I change the graphics in my project?
