Hi There, Can you guys please help me out with this really tricky issue?I am currently using RoboHelp 2019 to maintain content of 5 projects in Asian languages (Japanese, Chinese simplified and Chinese traditional). Output is in chm format.When my Windows OS is run in English language and I open any of these Asian language projects, my observation for each set of these 5 projects is that index is displayed as garbage values. These garbage values are displayed if the Binary Index checkbox (in Project Settings UI of Project Ribbon bar) is checked. If I uncheck this checkbox,  then I get index with proper Asian language script.  The problem arisis with the separate master.chm file which contains its own set of webpages plus all the 5 chm projects as merged files. Garbage values get displayed in the index tab. Irrespective of whether I check or uncheck the index, the problem persists. The merged indexes resolutely retain rubbish values.  Can you please he

I have a help file that was converted from RH2017 to RH2020. The author used comments extensively in this file to document source information for changes made. I can see these comments in the source view in RH2020, however, I can find no way to make them visible in author view. For example: a comment was inserted beside the Name 3 J1 Segment heading in RH2017. In RH2017 the author could see that the note existed because of a yellow note icon and then double click to read. There is no indication of this note in RH2020 author view. Hello All! I'm wondering if someone can help me out as I'm not sure on how I'm supposed to do this. I'm generating a frameless output and have my TOC all sorted out. I have different sorts of documents:But when you click on one you see the whole TOC on the right side. I only want to see the TOC for the FAQ for example instead of all the documents that I have. :Is there a setting or a way for me to only have the current 'projects' TOC on the right side? this is my TOC in Robohelp:I hope I'm explaining this well and that someone could help me. have a great day! 

Unable to import word document into RoboHelp 2020.7.46 version. I have tried all the below methods.1.Word document is closed while importing.2.Ensured word is not open in Task manager.3. Updated patch 7.4. Removed all the hyperlinks in the word document before importing.5. Ensured the format of the document is.docx.However after trying all these techniques, still the word document is not getting imported. Is the issue from Application end. Awaiting for your valuable response. 

I have some topics listed in the "Unreferenced files" report even though they are referenced, it's just that the links are perhaps unorthodox. I wanted the entire <li> element to be clickable, so I used an onclick event to link to the topic in question:<li class="clickableListItem" onclick="location.href='Wiring_Diagram_2_Pole_Line_Voltage_-_XCVR2.htm'"> <p>Wiring Diagram 2 Pole Line Voltage</p> </li>Which works great but...now when I compile, and topics that aren't in the TOC or linked from another topic using a standard <a> tag (I'm assuming), get left out of the Responsive output.Any thoughts on how to handle this? Is there a way to include Unreferenced Topics in the output? Is there a way to let it know that an "onclick" event is just as good as the classic <a> tag? I am currently using RoboHelp 2017. I have a very old user guide, not created by me, that has been upgraded to 2017. I see that the person did not give specific names to images. I do not know what was being used to capture screen shots but when I look at the image types I see that there are duplicate names but one image is a .gif and one is a .jpg. See screen shot attached.  I would like to rename the images but I'm not sure if this will cause problems in RoboHelp. Do you know a 'best method' for renaming the images?

Hi all,in RH2020.7.46, the printing functionality in the frameless output cuts off the last 2-4 lines of a topic that is longer than 1 page.Apparently, in the sample projects, this problem did not occur as there all topics have a couple of blank lines added at the end.Has anyone already reported this behaviour as a bug? Otherwise, I will do so.Best regardsKarin

I am a creator of content and want our developer to estimate time required to take the help that I create and make it available in web-based sofware.  Is there a forum or documentation that will help him to understand what is required to be done?   

Greetings, I am evaluating different ebook editors and I am leaning toward RoboHelp 2020, however I have ran into a few issues.  The most important being the cover page for the epub book I would be creating. I have put a cover page in the Front Matter that is a Topic with only the Cover Page image, see image.  In the Output eBook settings (set for epub) I have set the Cover Image to the same image.  When I compile for eBook there is no xhtml page and the epub does not have a cover page.  If I take out the cover in settings or take out Front Matter this still happens.  I looked in Sigil and the cover image is in the Images folder.  I looked in the opf file and the information for cover is incorrect and is pointing only at the image.  The file has: in metadata <meta content="image_cover" name="cover" /> and in manifest the id is wrong <item id="cover-image" href="images/cover.png" media-type="image/png" properties="cover-ima

Hi all.We are using Windows 10 and 11 Pro\EntRobohelp  2020.7.46 (We are observing this issue since 2020.5 i think)We are facing the issue when after upgrading Robohelp we can't open our project. It is endless 'upgrading files'. We have also tried to recreate our project on device with updated Robohelp. Under recreate I mean simply move topics and skin files from old version  to new version. This fixes the issue for a current device but when a collegue trying to open it - it is in endless 'reading files'. I saw few old topics regarding href slashes, but i though it was fixed. Anyway we got around 2000 topics and every got a hrefs so it's impossible to review thme all. Any help? This really impacts our job for a long time.

I'm using RH 2020.7.46 on a Win10 machine. Is it possible to change the formatting of snippets? I reuse a lot of content and snippets could be VERY helpful if I could change their format. For example, it'd be great to use a snippet in regular body text: A standard scenario is a collection of questions, message templates, and sites/site roles tied to a customizable button that, when selected, initiates a series of simultaneous notifications to separate audiences. But then also use it in a bulleted list:A panic button scenario is a ...A standard scenario is a collection of questions, message templates, and sites/site roles tied to a customizable button that, when selected, initiates a series of simultaneous notifications to separate audiences.A Zoom integration scenario is a ... Or even just an indented paragraph vs. a standard paragraph. Is that possible? 

I am unable to Import a word document consisting of 290 pages into Robohelp 2020 version to generate a .chm file? I am getting the below error. Awaiting for your response. 

I have to uninstall, delete everything fom %appdata% then reinstall....and usually it takes 2 or 3 different cycles of this to get it working again.  I'm not sure if it's releated to the profile issue, but it started right after Adobe sent out a profile update prompt last week that made everyone with Adobe poducts in our company update their profile with a birth date.   In my case, it actually saw I had a personal profile and then did something in the background to that.   What happens is that Robohelp starts...but then you can't open a project, update, view settings, etc..  You can close it, but that's about it.    Very frustrating and I'm seriously thinking of finding an alternative as I seem to ALWAYS have issues with Adobe products across the board.  I don't know why they can't create stable software.

I understand that RoboHelp stores custom dictionary terms in the added.txt file in this folder: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\Linguistics\UserDictionaries\RoboHelp Personal Dictionary\en_US But what is the purpose of the sibling file, exceptions.txt, in the same folder?

Hi all,Is there an option to change the tooltip for the button "Favorites" in the frameless output? I could not find this term under "Labels" in the Output tab in RH. It says "Favorites", even though my project language is German and the same button below says "Als Favorit festlegen".I am talking about this button:The wording for all other buttons could be found in Labels.Best regardsKarin

Hi there, We have not been able to publish to SharePOint Online from RH 2020.  We have been working with Adobe technical and they are stumped.  I was wondering if anyone else has had these issues and can shed some light on how you solved the issue. When we try to publish, we get a 'can't find the site, make sure you have permission.  We have all of the permissions required.  The log shows the follwoing error: okenRequest Error: FetchError: request to https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/oauth2/v2.0/token failed, reason: self signed certificate in certificate chainpopulateDrive: Failed to get drive for site = undefined Has anyone come across this error when publishing? Hi team,  I need your help please, it's about the default webapage that is loaded when i contact my robohelp server.  I mean on our RH9 version when i browse that URL, it's loading the default projet published on the General area on robohelp server.    Url : OLD-SERVER-NAME/robohelp/server     But when i do the same thing on the RH11 it's not displaying anything, apart a blank webpage like bellow :  My question is , is there any way to configure RH11 server to automatically display a default webpage when the user browse or mention the url like that :   http://server_hostname/robohelp/server or eventually through an alias :  http://rxhelp.mydomain.com/robohelp/server   Thank you.

Hi,Hope someone can help me with this problem before I open a ticket.I have 36 different Captivate Demo Videos already imported and placed into topics in RoboHelp2020 latest version. (2020.7.46), and all the output works great but when I generate any Frameless output each folder containing the files that make up the Captivate Demo files get replicated. Every time I generate a frameless output the folders get replicated over and over with every generation. To graphically show this I include 2 images, one shows the contents of each folder (the contents are all named the same in each different folder) and the other image shows 2 folders (one named Demo and the other DemoIG) being replicated (Demo1 and DemoIG1) and so on, I had up to Demo26 when I noticed this as being the problem when generation was taking days to complete, imagine that 36x26=936 folders replicated making the generation very very slow). Is there a way to control this?  Thanks in advance in any help provided! 

It looks like this is no longer an option in RoboHelp 2020, but I would like to verify before I talk to our engineers about it.

Hi,  I am using RH11 Server, it's working fine, we are able to publish project through html5 format.  We are using SQL express local database,  When i access the  Robohelp web administrator webpage, go-to  Report, select my area, and report-name, i have an error message :  "Contacting Robohelp server" then "Fetch failed, unable to get valid data from server"  Anyone has experienced such issue ? How i can diagnose and troubleshoot it please ?  Are there some logs somewhere or some other configuration to do to be able to run this reports ?  I reviewed the install doc but nothing interesting regarding my issue.      Thanks you.

Hello friendly neighborhood RHelpers! In my current project, I have thousands of help topics to review (spell check) and am trying to understand in detail what happens if I click Skip Topic. The RH 2017 Help file is a bit on the anemic side IMO, and there's not a lot of detail about what happens to a skipped file. My questions that I couldn't find after searching the help and this site:Are skipped topics skipped for good or will it cycle through skipped topics again once its done with all the others?Say I want to skip files temporarily but review them later, how would I do that? Is the list of topics files stored somewhere? Thank you in advance. 

Hi all,Does anyone know if the search option "Include all words in search" that exists in HTML5 output can be implemented for the frameless output? I cannot find any setting that does that.
