Been trying to build index by adding keyword and then selecting topic but in most cases, just deletes. I have a few topics that save but trying to add over 400 and just doesn't save. The topics are based off template so the html behind them are basically the same. So can't figure out why a few will take but not the majority. I've also tried going into contents, selecting properties on topic and adding Keywords, enter and Apply but won't show up in Index and deletes when going back into topic properties. What am I doing wrong? Can I build this in a file instead?using Version 2020.7.46.

(I'm using the latest version of RH2020, frameless skin.)I have my TOC separated into product sections. Some of my topics for each product are almost identical, but with a few minor differences (particularly cross references to other topics that are vastly different between the two products). What I want to do is condition the product-specific content within one topic so that I can just reuse the topic within each product section. But I don't want Product A content to appear in the output of the topic when it's in the Product B section, and vice versa. That is, I don't want the reader to have to use a dynamic filter to hide the content (because I'm not confident they'll figure that out and will just be confused). I want it hidden within the output. Is there a way to accomplish this with conditional tags? That likely didn't make sense, so to elaborate: I want to be able to say, on output, any topic within the Product A section in my TOC should only output with Product A content, an

Hi all,I am using RH 2020.6.76 with a frameless output (skin: customized Orange). When I try to print a topic from my output using the "Print" icon on the topic page, the following happens:- local machine, browser Google Chrome: Print dialog opens, almost all images disappear, css is not considered, after that, also the html view of the topic no longer shows the images (only after page reload)- server, browser Google Chrome: no Print dialog, ALL images disappear in the topic html- server, browser Mozilla Firefox: seems to work correctly except that the css is not considered here as well. But Print dialog opens, images are all there ... Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Is there some setting I need to make in my output configuration or in the Chrome browser settings? Chrome is the browser that is recommended by my company, so I have to get it to work there.  Side-note: I currently cannot update to the most current version due to a bug with merged output and German lang

Hi,For my project, I need to position the Dynamic Content Filtes (DCF) first on the left.At the moment the default setting is that the TOC is taking the first position to the left, but I wish my project to have DCF on the left followed by TOC next to it (to the right of DCF).Thanks in advance for your feedabck.Luke

Is there a "Start new chapters on odd pages" option for Word output in RoboHelp 2020? I would like to turn this off like I could in RoboHelp 2019 Classic to get rid of extra blank pages in my Word docs and the resulting PDFs.

I'm currently using RH version 2020.7.46. I generated an Output today and received the below code when selecting the output link. I have a project in RH 2019 (new UI )  with hundreds of topics. NP.Output is usually for a TOC which includes most of the topics. NPBut I now have a new TOC with only four topics in it. When I generate the relevant preset, I can see from the progress dialog that RH is "patching" every topic. It's not a problem, but why would the generation have anything to do with the hundreds of irrelevant topics?

Using RoboHelp 2020.7.46 / W10 / 64 Bit I have a project in a format I want to use as a template for future RH projects. Is the best path forward to copy the folder in Windows, open the copied project, and then rename the project title in project settings? I think in RoboHelp Classic, it then renamed many of the items throughout the project, but there were still some locations I needed to change manually. Is above the best approach or other options? Thank you. Shawn

I have customized images that I use as TOC Tile images on my Frameless skin. The generated homepage reflects these images appropriately. On the Home page in the generated output, when I click on a TOC Tile, it takes me to a secondary page with the same TOC Tiles as the home page, but with different content. On this secondary page, each TOC Tile image is associated with the 8-10 documents I have listed under the main folder. Is there a way to use different TOC Tile images for the secondary page? Also, is there a way to do away with the second 'home page' and get straight into topics?  Please advise. 

I recently updgraded to RH2020 from RH2019. When my projects were upgraded, I had to re-do the outputs. The files must be output in a Responsive HTML format. I'm not having problems publishing the files, but the TOC seems to be hidden by default and, once opened, takes up a lot of space on the left panel. Is there a setting that will allow the TOC to open by default? We want it to display without the users having to take any additional steps. Also, is there a way to control the default size of the TOC panel so that it isn't taking up almost half of the screen? 

We would like to customize the icon for topics in the home page of online help. We know that there is a way to add icon for topic while customizing the layout using UI option which will be applied across the help. But we want specific image to be customized for each of the topics. Can you advise us how we can perform the same in Robohelp?   RH Output: Expected Output:

Somehow some text in various topics got changed to a different Type.example:  *File name preceeded  by year To fix it, I used Clear Formatting and the text returned to normal.  I then saved the project.When I re-open the project the problem comes back.  Why is some text reverting back to a different (wrong) text style?

Using RoboHelp 2020.7.46, W10, 64bit Is there a way to delete an entire index? I can delete one topic at time, but I cannot locate a way to delete multiple topics or the entire index.I can add multiple topics using the context menu option, but I cannot locate a way to add multiple topics at the root level of the index. The topics keep being added under another topic. When I click on the "+" in the top right, and click on the options button, the field disappears. Thank you. Shawn 

Hi,  I'm trying to add numbering to the autogenerated TOC in pdf-book output. Using css classes a.pdf-toc-level-2 and a.pdf-toc-level-3. I'm able to style the two levels of the toc (not sure why level-2 is the main chapters and where level-1 is, but that's not an issue). Counter for the main chapters (level2) is fine, but I need to reset the numbering of lvl3 for each main-chapter to display correct numbers. What I want:1 - ChapterA  1 - subchapterAA  2 - subchaterAB2 - ChapterB  1 - subchapterBA  2 - subchapterBB  3 - subchapterBC3 - ChapterC  1 - subchapterCA What I get:1 - ChapterA  1 - subchapterAA  2 - subchaterAB2 - ChapterB  3 - subchapterBA  4 - subchapterBB  5 - subchapterBC3 - ChapterC  6 - subchapterCA I can't use nested counters that would work for classic <ol><li> lists since this TOC doesn't have this hierarchy, or at

Is there any option in Robohelp 2020 so that "Inlcude all words in search" should be checked by default.

I am using a frameless skin, Robohelp 2020.7 and it generates two files in a folder called "template\<name of my skin> called topicfooter.htm and homepagefooter.htm. These files are causing us trouble (some malware detectors don't like the references to http:/www.example.com because it is not https. I could not find anywhere in the RH skin editor that allows me to edit or eliminate these two files. Does anyone know how? Jim 

I opened my existing project (a very large one) and I got a message which I accidentally closed before reading. When my project opened, in the project manager, nothing seems to be showing. If I open the project folder in internet explorer, I seem to see all of the files there, but they don't seem to appear in robohelp. Any ideas what could be causing this?I appreciate any help offered. Hello, We have one parent proejct and 32 children projects. When inserting the child project into the parents TOC, I noticed yjay when we generate the output (Responsive HTML5), its like some of the child projects didnt stay in their respective folder.  See below pic. In an effort to keep things organized, each child TOC shows in its own seprate entity (i.e. "+Barcode") when published. For some, all the contents show but not in their respective folder. Has anyone seen something like this before?  (Currently we are attempting to generate our output with Responsive HTML5 as we did in 2019 Classic. ) 

Hello All,Tried to import a word document in robohelp2020.The word document contains 2 images- one without any additional text field and other with additional text field added with the image. While importing,only the image without text field is imported.Other image with text field is not imported.Is there any other way to import that image also.Thanks in advance.

My government project currently uses RoboHelp 2017 with TFS 2013 for version control via the MSSCCI Provider and Team Explorer 2013.  The project is upgrading from TFS 2013 to DevOps 2020.  Is it possible to connect RH 2017 to DevOps 2020 or must we upgrade our version of RoboHelp in order to continue to use a Microsoft configuration tool (i.e. DevOps 2020)?  If the answer is we must upgrade RoboHelp, can RoboHelp 2019 support connectivity to DevOps 2020?  Would like our users to be able to use the "classic" GUI offered by RH 2019 Classic until they have time to learn the newer interface. Thanks in advance,  James    

I'm using RoboHelp 2020, and my file is an .rhpj. Is there a way to revert it to an .xpj file or even an .mpj file?
