I am currently creating a flooring material for a house using Substance 3D Sampler. My goal is to create a material that faithfully reproduces the texture provided by the manufacturer. You can check the actual product from the followingURL: https://www.biz-lixil.com/tv/play.php?id=6299564492001&_ga=2.17258105.1334541333.1682478485-1924586941.1682478485 First, I resized the texture (2750×1378px) provided by the manufacturer to 1800×600px using Photoshop to match half of the actual size of 3600mm×1200mm, and imported it into Substance 3D Sampler. However, when I imported it using image to Material (AI Powered), it became a bumpy material like the reference image. It looks like an old and dirty flooring, far from the product. The joints of the flooring should have a clear indentation, and the board part should have a flat finish with no bumps. Hello, Even with following tutorials, I'm still struggling to solve my problem :When changing scale in Painter, the quality drops. At first, I thought it was the resolution but it seems that when scaling, I have a height/normal problem. I start to think it's not just a resolution problem but something else, related to the method use to create the lace/crochet/fishnet. Any tip/advice?The "sampling"/"waving" method looks nice but for scaling, should I rather start with a pattern that doesn't need the waving with height mixing (in other words, to have the "base" and the pattern already mixed)?

The image on the right is an example of the Plank Lap Siding that I amtrying to create. If I need to go into substance designer to finish this, because this cannot possibly be achievedin sampler - please advise steps in SD that should be followed. Thanks!
I checked all the tabs and tried putting in a different image extension, but embroidery scale didn't come up. Only the density exists. Please help me
Hi there, I am new to Substance 3D so I don't have much knowledge as of yet. I need to create 3D materials that are exact in colour which is why I'm using the image to material function. When I upload an image of a brick material, the tiling isn't quite right. I'm also trying to creating a vinyl siding material from an image but don't have any base materials that match up. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated. If there are any known courses out there that someone knows of, please share. Thank you.
I can't find a way to expose my custom input nodes created in Substance Designer into Sampler.They show up correctly in Substance Painter and in the old good Substance Player tho.any hint?thank you

Is Image to Material (AI) supported on M1 Macs now? I tried it but the filter just keeps spiming / calculating endlessly. Using M1 Mac Mini 16GB RAM.
Hello, How does this *(sig)* cloud sync work? Is it only for software sources and updates or for our projects as well? From what I know I've not activated any "project" sync with the cloud but my current project is lost and a two weeks old project is back. Old project I had deleted on my computer (both in .alg_meta and .materials). How comes it's back? Since I'm working alone, I don't need sync at all (and neither want it).
Hello,I have a question about old embrodery node, that worked perfectly for my case and now I don't know what I could use instead of that.Foe example:I have a complex carpet, that I want to reproduce in 3D Sample .I have multicoloured layout representing all masks:And I have scans of all diffrent types of carpet loops and cuts that I use to create "Image to Material" for each of them.With the old Embrodery Filter I could just slide each material into a input (colour) and voila. Now I don't understand in which way I can create a complex multisub material with diffrent masks options. Can you help mw with that please?Thanks
Hey, I am trying to find all the Python functions available for Substance 3D Sampler, but I have only been able to find a few in the documentation. I was wondering if there is a comprehensive list available, as I need more functions to accomplish a task. For instance, I am trying to apply a material to an asset, and I am unable to find the relevant function for this. Is it also possible to run "image to material" through my script?If you could provide me with any additional resources or guidance on this matter, I would greatly appreciate it. I have been exploring for a long time and have been unable to find the best way to make this embossed fabric. The embossing filter seems unable to achieve this effect!He only creates a relief effect on the fabric, but can adjust the clarity and blurriness of the edges, and can also achieve transitional blurriness of the relief pattern! I'm testing my shoes.The color of the shoes is white. They're new shoes.Shoes are never dirty.But the shoes you see in the sampler look dirty.I think the base color is wrong.What's the reason? And I'm curious about the original polygon quantity, but it's not shown. Can I check the original polygon quantity in the sampler?
Hello,I have been trying to import SBSAR files into Maya and each time they import distorted or transperancies arent working properly.I create a Substance node and import the SBSAR file and click on Arnold to create a Network and then apply the created material onto a plane with 50x50 divisions. this is how the cloth material looks in sampler. you can see its a large weave when holes. this is my node network after importing with the substance nodethis is what it looks like when i first apply it to the planeIf I reduce the scale on the displacment shader node its gets better but as you can see the holes in the weave are not transparent. How can I fix that and does this seem normal that I need to fix the scale each time. Happnes with my generated SBSAR files and others that ive purchased. I have the latest Substance for Maya plug installed for Maya 2022.
1. You cannot adjust the size of the embroidery pattern separately. You can only adjust the texture tiling in the viewer to change the size. However, if there is still a layer of fabric underneath the embroidery, the fabric will also change the size accordingly!2,Of course, the position of the pattern in the fabric cannot be moved!3. The embroidery height position can only be raised and cannot be concave. When you set the height position in the advanced parameters to a negative value, the embroidery pattern disappears!Using a decal filter can solve this problem, but I think this method is a bit clumsy because I must first save the embroidery and then disclose the parameters for easy adjustment!

I'm brand new to Substance 3d Sampler so bear with me 🙂I'm using the emroidery filter, and the tutorials i can find for placing materials on the different colors of a logo, are all using the drop down input field. Like here:But in the new version of 3d sampler, that is not possible.So question is, how do i add materials to the different clors in the new version of 3d sampler?Thanks in advance
Purchased 3D Sampler on Steam, and I'm only able to export 4k res maximum. Saw multiple training videos advertising that it can support up to 16k. How do I export higher res? 4k is too low for my needs and results in a fairly blurry texture when at mid to close range. I'm using a DSLR so want to take advantage of the high quality images. Thanks.
Greetings-I have a high dpi wide monitor (3440 x 1440) w/ substance 3D sampler (4.01 - Steam version) and parts of the UI are quite fuzzy. It's weird to explain - some of the font is clear and readily readable, while others is fuzzy and difficult to view. This used to be a problem in designer, but you all fixed that in the latest version. Sampler still doesn't seem to have the same UI upgrades as designer/painter.

Using Atlas Scatter to add leaves, but the leaves and the land seem to blend together, which looks fake. They are not separate and independent. How do make the leaves look like separate individuals falling onto the ground?
Hi, I try to import materials from my assets into my Sampler. I copied SBSARs on the folder "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Sampler\Resources\assets\StarterAssets". I closed and opened Substance Sampler but I don't see them on the list of materials anyway. What do I do in a wrong way? Thanks
