I had an issue with the substance sampler while creating various patterns of wooden flooring. When I started editing a wooden material, I have added wood finish and Parquet options to try many patterns, but expect the english named pattern none of them are working. In the tutorials provided by adobe is showing some preset but which is not showing in the current version instead it shows pattern mask and none are working please let me know the issue.

I am struggling to find anything I would be doing with Sampler. Pretty much everything is easier elsewhere for my taste? Today I tried color replace. Have a photogrammetry piece I need to extend to cover bigger area and wanted just to swap image elements colors to be not 100% clone . But there is no advanced AI masking to do it . Like in Photoshop. Tried content aware fill. Also better in Photoshop. Tried Ai generation textures - getting nothing I actually needed , always something super repeating or unrelated. Are there any specific subjects or workflows where Sampler is great ? I'v never tried embroidery . Is this the thing ? Can anyone share an experience of what was easy and good looking straight from Sampler?
Hey everyone,Just wanted to point out something I noticed with the latest version of the Tile filter in Substance Sampler.In older versions, the tile gap could be set really narrow, which made it super useful for realistic tile work (especially for ceramic or terrazzo surfaces). But in the updated version, the gap looks much wider by default, and it seems like you can’t reduce it enough to get that subtle joint anymore.I’ve attached two images to show what I mean:The first one is from an older filter with a more realistic jointThe second is using the new version, and the gap is just too thick for most real-world useWould love to see an update that lets us set the gap smaller again — or ideally just bring back the older behavior as an option. It used to be great for photorealistic renders, but now the joints just look a bit cartoonish.Thanks!
Hello, I use adobe's 3D substance sampler to create materials in junction with blender because I'm also a photographer and I like that you can use your own photos and its pretty fast. I have a macbook air with a m2 chip, it's always worked until recently when I've been getting a hardware compatibility issue. I have my mac updated (I still had an error before updating), and I have the latest update for sampler installed. My computer should be able to work with my OS and GPU as stated on the website as well as creative cloud, but the program is extremely buggy and doesn't seem to be working but I can't troubleshoot the issue.
I try to add emission color but nothing happen. I start with empty material, filter to create a metal material then apply in setting emission color to blue.Path tracing is enabled. Any idea ? Thanks for you assistance
Hello, I'm new to Substance 3D sampler and would love to find some up to date tutorials to learn it.I'm using version 5.0.1 and choose the Materials in minutes option from the home screen.I was trying to follow the tuorial named 'Parquet Material In Minutes with Substance 3D Sampler'The fellow starts with a base material called 'Oak wood' from the starter assets but when I try to find it, it is not there! I'm baffled, whats the point of Adobe showing a tutorial that I cannot follow.Any help would be gratefully appreciated.ThanksPaul
Hello there, i searched in the export documentation section but i found nothing relevant, i would like to know what type of texture is being generated by each channel and if it is possible to edit the outputs, as example i just exported a base color map and the output is an 8 bit file, but whats the color profile? and an output normal map apparently creates a 16 bit output file, and this change from channel to channel, how do i know if a channel is being exported as linear or is gamma corrected? I'm using the Default export preset.

Hi, I'm trying to write a script to process some images but I'm finding the whole process very difficult. My script isnt working and to debug it I do Help->export log and then open the log file and scroll to the bottom. Running the script via console using`"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Sampler\Adobe Substance 3D Sampler.exe" --run-script <script.py>` doesnt work. I just want to write a script that batches a set of images in a directory through a material asset and exports the result. Hi! I have a bunch of product photos (sample attached) - warehouse boxes. I need to turn them into series of 360 degree spin photo. All shots are made around 45 degree above perspective plus i have one shot of top and bottom view. I found the new tool 3D sampler to be advertised as the one, that could turn my photos into 3d object. it would expand my options to use it on further creative processes, however my deadlines are tight, so I don't want to spend too much time, testing it. I'd like to accelarate whole work, not just play and find it's not good enough yet.I would like to hear from someone who already tested this tool - how accurate it is, are results satysfing, is this a tool that make this particular job for me well?What are your opinion about it?Thank you in advance.Mike

My PC meets all the requirements, it's even considered "optimal", what is going on? Which version should I install? This is my first time using this software. All the other Adobe softwares work just fine.
Open Sampler, create project. Drop pre-made material onto sphere mesh and get really wonky / glitchy surface behavior: spikes and scales. Graphics issue?

Hi there, after weeks of trying different drivers with my 3090 and now 5090, it still crashes. In the main overview I get the message "Substance encountered a problem and needs to close". I have already sent the bug report multiple times but still I get no updates unfortunately. Could you help me please, I really need the program to run. Currently I run on the 572.83 driver version. The issues started with the update to the 5.0 version of Substance Sampler. Kind Regards

Hi, new here. The meshes are not working correctly. I cannot use or see them in the viewport. I've tried importing different file types, creating various meshes, and nothing works. Am I missing something?
Any reason why this new version (5.0.0) is glacially slow and significantly slower than the previous version on MacOS (M1 Max 32Gb, Sequoia)? UI, selection, scolling is extremely laggy (at least 1 second delay for any drop down or UI element), zoom and pan is extremely stuttery and lags even if only 2D is displayed.Not hitting any memory limit, still free memory with zero swap.Sampler has always been a bit chuggy on MacOS but this is a significant performnce decrease.
I haven't been able to export this material I made. Every time I try, it stops the export and gives an error symbol. It finally worked when I tried deleting the Clone Stamp Layer. That doesn't solve my problem since I need that layer but hopefully explains something of the issue. I'm using version 5.0.1 on Windows 11.
Hi, so I've never used Sampler before so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I can't get anything to show up in the viewport, except this black and white grid. I've tried using different mesh presets, adding materials and lights, but still nothing. I have the latest version of Sampler and the latest NVIDIA update. I also have a GTX 1060 so maybe my hardware is just too old? But I've encountered no issues with any other programs, like maya, unreal, or other Adobe programs. Thanks for reading all this! hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me has an idea on how I might fix this!
What would cause a failed export? Material renders and performs correctly in the application... Its a simple material stack.
Your update broke my Sampler again.Before, the program wouldn't open, but now it shuts down the entire PC, blue screen.Windows 11, RTX 3090, 128GB of RAM...All Updated drivers.What's the problem this time?How frustrating. When will the fix come out?
