I recently updated from version 26.001.21677 to version 26.001.21771. Previously I was able to print documents with mixed size papers without issue (mixed 8.5x11 and 8.5x14). Now using version 26.001.21771 I am no longer able to print these documents. I get an error message saying can not print the document, please visit the help page. I have tried this using multiple different printers and still get the same error, please advise.
In the older version of Acrobat, when switching to the Pan Tool (hand icon) you would be able to zoom in and out with the mouse scroll wheel. In the current version of Acrobat, scrolling the mouse wheel while in Pan mode only scrolls the document up and down. Pan mode + mouse wheel zoom was ideal for viewing architectural/engineering/electrical drawings, why has this suddenly been removed after so many years?
Is there any way to remove the sign in option on the top menu bar in Adobe Reader x64 or prevent users from logging in?I have tried all the usual reg keys but there appears to be no way to suppress or block this menu item.Whilst i have disabled the online services i would like to be able to go further and prevent users from even logging into an account via Adobe Reader.
I can't print a pdf file. I can print a word file, but not a pdf file. Can you help?
Saludos, MGAraya
I have a user who’s consistently producing documents that include character encoding failures when I or her supervisor run the Accessibility Checker. Yet when she scans the documents using the Accessibility Checker, she sees no error. What could cause her not getting a failure on the accessibility check? We are all using the same version of Acrobat. She and her supervisor are using the “new” user interface, I’m using the legacy UI - so we’re seeing the failures when the check is run in both the new & legacy UI, and failing to see them in a case where the user is running the new UI.
When I download and run the Adobe Acrobat Reader installer, it ends up installing Adobe Acrobat and forces me to either start a free trial or buy a subscription. I only want Reader. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling a few times with no luck. I've also tried contacting my school IT and they couldn't figure it out. Looking for help.
I work for a company that uses creative cloud for access to Adobe Acrobat, and the settings currently require signing in every 2 weeks. At the two week mark, Adobe Acrobat and Creative Cloud will give me a pop-up that I need to re-sign in. When I do sign in with my company account, I enter my credentials, respond to the DUO VPN request, then have to enter my credentials a second time.At this point, the program says my credentials cannot be verified and crashes/closes Creative Cloud and Adobe Acrobat. It’s always annoying because you’ll be in the middle of something and have it crash and lose all your work on you for just trying to sign in. Luckily, it lets you work for a little while after the Creative Cloud popup before the Adobe Acrobat popup (which keeps you from doing any more work in Acrobat, so you can save and exit, but only if you know already that it’s going to crash (which everyone at my company does now).I’ve had Adobe reloaded onto my machine twice now by IT with no luck. form looks good, and the submit button appears to work - I get an option that shows the email to me with form attached, but when I hit send - it never goes to my aol email
Each time i try to install a new version of Adobe Acrobat Reader i get the error message “Error 1921 Service Adobe Acrobat Update Service (AdobeARMservice) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services”.I don’t see any service called AdobeARMservice in my Services to stop. This is on my company windows 11 laptop and has been going on for about a year now hence i am stuck on version 2024.002.20895 and am constantly getting prompts to update that always fail.I raised a ticket with my company it department 9 months ago but they haven’t been able to fix it.How can i stop this error and update to the latest version please?thanks...
Followed the Adobe Help steps from the link. Ended background processes using end process tree, repaired the Adobe program, tried printing "Print as Image", disabled Protected Mode at startup. Clear corrupted data and cache (DC.old). After those failed, I uninstalled Adobe, wasn’t uninstalling, ran the official Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool, rebooted, and performed a fresh reinstallation of Adobe Reader from Software Center (version 25.001.20693 x64). Same error. Previously there was a newer Adobe version installed on 7/27/2026 as listed in Control Panel - Installed programs (I have not installed it). Still can’t print.
Hi all. I'm posting this in the hopes that it might help someone else out that may have the same symptom. Last week, my Adobe Reader stopped printing. Nothing I did produced any result. Not hitting the print icon. Not hitting CTRL+P. Not selecting "print" from the drop-down menu. There was no error message. No nothing. It was as if I hadn't clicked anything. I tried repairing the installation, no help. I've rebooted the computer many times over the last couple weeks. Here's what finally fixed it. On a whim, I went to Windows Explorer, right-clicked on the PDF file, and selected "print" from Explorers context menu. Adobe flashed open for a sec, and the document printed. Now, Adobe Reader prints as it always used to do. There must have been some little "glitch" or something going on.Problem solved. Hope this helps someone else.Artie
There is no Protected View on the Preferences page in macOS; only Privileged Locations remains. No matter which file I opened, no yellow warning bar appeared. How to enable Protected View on macOS?
Hello,Has anyone else had an issue using Ctrl + C to copy highlighted text in version 26.001.21745? The first time I try it with a PDF I get “Failed to load an application resource (internal error). Thanks,Andrew
Microsoft randomly closed my file I was working on today saying I need to increase disk storage. As Adobe Acrobat was ne of the bigger files I went to transfer the program files from my Operating System to user data. I was unsucessful and had to cancel transfer but most of it did but not without causing it to stop working. Called Adobe who referred me to Microsoft who then referred me to Adobe who advised me to uninstall and reinstall it. Now wants me to login in even though I never had an account and now had to register my university account to make this post.
I know this is similar questions have been asked before, but most of the discussions are full of people echoing that they have the same problem, and Adobe employees suggesting solutions that evidently don't work for many (me included). So I wanted to check if any new solution has emerged. It scrolls in an incredibly laggy fashion irrespective of the file size and the number of tabs opened at once. My computer doesn't have the Disable new Acrobat option which has been suggested a few times. I have also tried the method of changing security settings without any improvement. I would rather not go through the entire uninstalling and reinstalling process again because I tried that and saw no change, and it was a pain. Specs of Acrobat and the Macbook are below:Adobe 2020 Release (Classic)Version 2020.005.30770Architecture: x86_64Build: 20.5.30774.10774AGM: 4.30.122CoolType: 5.14.5JP2K: 1.2.3.54783Macbook Pro 2020 13-inchProcessor: 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5Graphics: Intel Iri
Hi, I have multiple pdf files which included table content in these pdf files. How to import to excel to different sheets in one files? Thanks.
Previously reported at https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172842 where it was confirmed by another user (running Windows 11) but not resolved. I am running Windows 10.I downloaded the Libre Office user guide and opened it. Acrobat Reader crashed.I downloaded it again and did a binary compare - both versions were identical, and Acrobat Reader crashes each time.I open hundreds of PDFs and have never seen Acrobat Reader crash before.I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 2026.001.21691 (64 bit).I checked for updates and at the time of writing there are none.I opened the file in PDF Creator v11.30.1 which did not crash.Procedure to trigger the crash:Open https://books.libreoffice.org/en/ -Clicking “Download PDF” button opens https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/s/rbd2ipG6RP8F779I click the three dots on the LH side of the black bar and downloaded the file.Opening that file crashes Acrobat Reader.User guide details:File timestamp: 2026-07-10 10:25:28File size: 28,042,3
I feel like this should be simple but obviously I'm missing something. I updated my Acrobat reader to DC. I have the free desktop version, not premium or anything. I can't figure out how to make a bookmark for the life of me. Is that function no longer available for free users? There's no icon to create a bookmark and I've looked all up and down through the navigation pane and there's no bookmarks tab anywhere. Are bookmarks gone or just gone for free users?
Hi, I wanted to make changes to a PDF file. When I clicked the edit button, I was prompted to download another version of Acrobat Reader. So I accepted the terms and conditions. Then it started to download. When I click on the "modify PDF" button again, I get a message like this (I translate from French): "Other tool components are being installed. We will notify you when you can use the tool." This is absolutely ridiculous. It's 10:07 pm. The download must have started around 10:00 am. Why is the download taking so long? If anyone has any information on this, it would be appreciated! Thank you very much, Guillaume
One of my colleagues have been experiencing an issue when attempting to use CTRL + C on a document. When copying it would throw up the error “Failed to load an application resource (Internal error)”Afterwards, they are able to use the copy shortcut normally. When attempting to copy via right click the error doesn’t show. This happens the first time they open up adobe acrobat reader. Closing the reader, opening up the same document and attempting to CTRL+C shows the same error again. I’ve reinstalled Acrobat reader already and the error is still persisting.
I attempted to download a .pdf ‘Wise’ bank statement to my Samsung phone, but got the message:“Error The document cannot be opened because it is corrupted or damaged”So I tried on the the laptop and got the message:"There was an error while opening this document. Bad parameter".Not only did this apply to the statement I was trying to download, but I found this applies to ALL .pdf documents on the computer.I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe, but that didn’t work and opening the Adobe Home page I got the message: “Unable to display Recent files”I can open .pdfs through Chrome or other browsers, so all is not lost. However, that’s not the point - any ideas on how I restore Adobe? With many thanks,Tim
Adobe is now forcing me to go to the cloud every time I get a notification email that a document is signed. Is there a way to change this back to getting the PDF attached in the email with the notification the document is signed? This is annoying as it requires multiple steps to sign in, download, and then move the document/rename. It also doesn’t allow an easy second location of the document in archived emails for future needs.
