Dreamweaver

Since Dreamweaver 21.8 (on a Mac running 26.5.2) some on my old Project VII extensions have disappeared. Not all of them, but more than half. I had installed them using DMX Zone Extension Manager 1.3.0 (newest) years ago. The missing extensions still show as active in DMX. Now, with Dreamweaver 21.8, If I try to uninstall an extension (to then re-install it) I get an error saying that my menu.xml file is corrupt. There seems to be multiple files named that associated with Dreamweaver!Any thoughts?

I have not used Dreamweaver in a few months.I just went to make a small edit to a page.I clicked the Put button from the local file and got the error below.I also tested the connection and it quickly passed, so it does not appear to be an FTP issue.I have a 1GB connection, so I do not beleive it is me upload speed.Started: 4/21/2026 1:12 PMConnected to xxxxxxx.shops_enter\shops.cfm - Transferringshops_enter\shops.cfm - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put shops.cfm. I have been building and maintaining a couple of websites for my family business. Over the years, and after many updates, there are a lot of redundant media files on the servers (local and public).  Is there an app that will analyse the website and list the media used? Then I could purge the server media and upload only those needed.I tried this years ago using Dreamweaver to “put” files on the server, but it was not reliable. For example: it would miss alternative images in <source> tags.

This issue has plagued me for years and is the single reason I utterly despise dreamweaver it drives me out of my mind even though I have notes switched off it still randomly makes _notes and I end up wasting massive time searching and deleting the _notes plague, good God please help me

Hey folks!You can call me nostalgic, or say I don’t really understand web development, and so on… but I simply hope that this app I’ve been using since ‘97 continues to be with us for many more years.Maybe asking for it to be updated to modern web standards is asking too much, but I truly hope that happens. And if not, at the very least I ask that it is not discontinued.In the end, there are still a few of us (I don’t know how many 🙂) who still find it very useful for working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.Is anyone else with me? 😎Anyway, have a good day.

This is what happens with the encrypted question mark.  This is with a normal question mark.I use Dreamweaver for more than 2 decades. This was never a problem. I don't know why the query string is added anyway. In 21.6 this was not added.

Dreamweaver was working just fine until three days ago. Unable to quit, re-open app, open saved HTML file, or UNINSTALL Dreamweaver using Adobe Uninstaller, in order to reinstall this app. It is Frozen but nothing has changed on my system. When I tried to uninstall, the error message was regarding complications - unable to uninstall due to unsaved files (?) - all my files were saved as far as I recall.No idea what to try - no response whatsoever. It’s STUCK and so am I.Should I try another uninstaller (CleanMyMacX)?Suggestions, please.

HiIt appears that its not possible to contact the well known developer of dreamweaver extensions, project Seven (PVII) as their website says "Err_Connection_refused" and their support email address bounces back. Does anyone on here know if they are no longer in business? (were certainly still active earlier this year)Thanks

I’m using Dreamweaver 21.7 to edit a few files outside of my Wordpress site, like the styles.css and php files. I have fresh install. DS randomly crashes and closes while I’m editing. I can go 5-10 minutes, sometimes make a few saves and uploading the changed file (sometimes not) before DW just quits on me and closes down in the middle of a text edit. This is on Windows 11 pro, all up-to-date. How can I figure out what is  happening?

I cannot get my properties panel to appear no matter what I attempt to do. (Ctrl f3 etc.) In the Window dropdown menu it is checked, but not visible. Has anybody had this issue before? How did you resolve this?

Your latest Dreamweaver download doesn’t work.   It wont allow me to install any of my extensions ( It says "file is corrupt" on every extension when i use either ZXP installer or Anastasiys ).  However , when I roll back to the previous version of Dreamweaver it allows me to install all my extensions with no problem ( proving there is no issue with any extension ) - but is unreliable and crashes whenever I open a PHP page. This has never happened before until recently and the pages in question have been working for years,  Please can you help me

 On the Products page says “This serial number is already in use.”  On checking ‘Activated products’, it says “You have no activated devices” .  Following the instructions on the ‘Activate an app’ page, I return to my copy of DWR CS6.   As you can see, the app believes it is activated (“Deactivated” is greyed out.)  In order to deactivate the app, I need to “Sign in if prompted” and “Go to Help > Sign Out.” I do not have the dropdown menu that is being shown on the Adobe Help page https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/apps/licensing-activation/activate-deactivate-apps/deactivate-adobe-app.html. ​​​​​​ Please advise how I can resolve this contradictory situation. I just upgraded to DreamWeaver 21.8. I am on macOS 26.5.1 Tahoe.I work in Split View with Code-Live View.Sometimes when I click on a line with a link in the Live View, instead of taking me to the spot in the Code with that link, it suddenly replaces my page with the code from the website that is used in the link. The only way I can go back to my code is to close the file and reopen it, which means I lose any unsaved changes.According to a Google site, I can stop this from happening by going to View > Live View Options and turn off any options that refer to following links. They are both already unchecked already!How do I make this stop? It is driving me insane.Please advise.Thank you.

Randomly when already having multiple documents open if i open a new one it will not render and all i can see is a white screen - i am only using text view for things like php and twig  / html / css. When opeing dreamweaver new it does show briefly the same white screen but then will finish rendering but when the problem appears the same white screen will stay white.this is lastest 21.8 dreamweaver and a fully updated windows 11 

How to download and install adobe dreamweaver cs6 ?(Full process)

 All my web pages (which is a blog with images) have shifted left, leaving a huge blank space on the right. It seems to be ok when viewed on a cell phone, but on laptops and computers, everything has shifted to the left. How do I get it back to the way it use to be? It's happening even on old pages that I developed years ago.

I have been using Dreamweaver 21 since December 2025. Have successfully installed extensions using DMX Zone Extension Manager. I think due to the recent update, the Insert menu does not display the extensions. When trying to upload again or different ones, the same error message appears: the file menus.xml is corrupt.  I have searched and found the recommendation to reset preferences, which I did twice, and am still getting the same message that the menus.xml file is corrupt. Please help.
