Photoshop

After the previous update, I can't active the Type tool in Photoshop by hitting T. It will switch to it, then immediately switch back to whatever the previous tool was. If you click T and click the image fast enough, sometimes you can catch it. I was hoping the next update would fix it, but it did not. I use the Type tool a lot, so this is not great behavior.

When you are using the photoshop, Generative feature how do you move the pop-up instruction box off of the image. It covers 1/3 of the image. You can't see the change to the image until after you save it and then drag the pop-up box off of the image. Often it’s not the results I wanted but could not see the results until after the save. Very poor design. 

Bonjour, J’ai un gros problème depuis la mise à jour 27. J’importe mes photos depuis DXO et jusqu’à la mise à jour les couleurs étaient fidèles. Sauf que maintenant, je me retrouve avec une image saturé et lumineuse dans PS. Et le plus étonnant, c’est que si j’enregistre cette même image en JPEG, par exemple, de PS, l’image est normale sur le même écran. Mais impossible de travailler dans ces conditions. Issue summary: Since Photoshop 2025 (exact version unknown, but after 25.12.4) direction-based brush strokes, when set in the brush settings (Shape Dynamics - Angle Jitter - Direction), are not working properly. The very first 'pixel' of nearly every stroke is angled about 90 degrees perpendicular, before correcting itself immediately as the stroke continues. This breaks a previously working workflow. The problem is only mitigated by using external stabilisation (I’m using Lazy Nezumi Pro with light smoothing), which suggests the issue is related to how initial pen input samples are handled at stroke start. I also ideally need to have 1% smoothing enabled in Photoshop, or the bug can lightly reoccur occasionally. Using older Photoshop versions avoids the issue, but this is not a viable long-term solution due to other compatibility and stability concerns. I need to change a bunch for png’s to jps. As usual, I have recorded the action to export and save a jpgs. And I have saved the action which shows in my action window. I go to Automate > batch and do the usual process, however there are two errors occurring at various times of trying to batch automate the same file as it hasn’t been doing what it should do:It looks like photoshop is doing its thing, however, once done, no files have been saved as instructed. The files are saving but without the instructed actions actioned. Saving as the originals.P.S. I have been using this process for decades without issue. And I even used uit successfully just before the action panel was changed by Adobe. I have a big deadline and need this sorted asap. Please help!Thank you.

Who had the great idea of Gen-Z-ing this? With the new Photoshop-Update it is terrible to “act” on my actions. IT IS OVERBLOWN!!! WHO THOUGHT THIS IS A GOOD IDEA??? It used to be easy to click on/off parts of my actions that I’ve programmed (which is such a cool feature from you guys! Love it!) . Now you’ve made it very hard to “on/off” parts of my actions.Do you really need to “stupify” your software? The new “Actions” interface is honestly terrible, it looks like a bad “beta”. Please revert to the old UI. What I hate: the new UI design structure itself is very hard to read – “what’s active in my action, what’s deactivated”… it used to be really easy to change a programmed action within, now … it’s not. I can't use generative AI with my Photoshop v26.11 today. Every time when I try to generate or remove something, it keeps saying 'We've encountered an issue and can't complete your request at this time. Please try again later'. My collegue's Photoshop has had the same problem. Anyone knows what has caused such issue? It's not the first time but usually it would be back to narmal in less than an hour. But not this time, it hasn't worked for more than six hours already. Pretty frustrating...

I recently updated to the Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.9.1 20260803.r.1 65900e1  x64 (final, Release). Once I import an image and I use the Clone Stamp Tool, it doesn't work as it used to. I use Alt+Click to select an area to clone, but then, when I click on a target to clone on, it uncontrollably clones other areas of the image, at a linear manner. I haven't seen such a behavior before. 

The Sky Replacement tool on my Windows 11 (25H2) PC was working perfectly up until I update Photoshop to version 27.10 .0 three days ago.Selecting Sky Replacement in the Editor (Edit » Sky Replacement) is OK and all my skies appear.When I select a sky, I find all of the sliders and functions, except Brightness function perfectly.The Brightness slider can be moved to both extremes, but no change in Brightness materializes. I have performed a clean instal of Photoshop, without effect (Uninstalled PS with Revo Pro Uninstaller, and thereafter deleted every Adobe folder I could find).Even performed a clean reinstall of the Windows operating system.Finally, I restored my system, from a Macrium Reflect X to a state prior to the Photoshop to version 27.10 .0 update. Low and behold - the Brightness for Sky Replacement works.It looks like a Bug, to me.Appreciate any comments/adviceBrian 

This is currently happening each time I open Photoshop.  Have been waiting for an update that would fix the issue but have gotten impatient.

I created a file many years ago before I stopped working with Smart Objects.  At the time, I wanted to sharpen sections of the image. I now need to enlarge the canvas slightly to augment the tile border, and in the process of doing that, I noticed that my Smart Objects have transparency.  AI says “the Unsharp Mask filter … operates strictly on the color and luminance channels of an image and does not utilize, modify, or factor in layer transparency or alpha channels during its calculation.”  In the first screenshot below, the finished image with all its usable layers is shown.  In the second, the bottom layer only is toggled on and reveals an out of focus section in the left upper corner which is replaced by the Layer in the 3rd screenshot (2166).  What I don’t understand is what is going on in screen shots 4 & 5, which show semi-transparent pixels.  Those areas seem to correspond with what is showing on the respective masks for those objects.  If transparency is not used for maski

I recently bought a brand new MacBook Pro M5 with 48gb of working memory. Every app I use on a daily basis for work has been smooth, fast, and seamless- except Photoshop. It is consistently laggy. I’ll make a brush stroke and it will show up on the screen 5+ seconds later. I will click on the layers tab and it takes 4+ seconds to register.I currently have the memory usage set to 70%. I tried upping the memory and turning on and off some Graphics Processors settings, but that did not help.Yesterday, I was working on a 8”x10” file at 400 dpi with about 6 layers. I had only been working on that file for 20 minutes max. I went to Activity Monitor and Photoshop was taking up a whopping 16.09gb!!I removed and redownloaded Photoshop last week and am still experiencing this extreme lag.I use Photoshop for work and it has become nearly unusable. I’m running on a M5 MacBook Pro, Golden Gate 27.0. I downgraded to 27.8 and there was no more issues.I updated to Photoshop 27.10 and ran into several unacceptable issues:Opened photoshop after the auto update and tried editing a single 4k image. Zoom was slow, paintbrush was slow, and navigating menus was slow. I had a single layer with a mask and was trying to paint in the mask, but the brush was so laggy and unresponsive it was completely unusable. Trying to do this while zoomed in and the app would lockup completely. I tried with a smaller 1000px x 1000px image, still noticeably slow but no locking up. I’ve edited larger images with more layers and never ran into this issue until now. During this I also checked every setting and permission both in app and at the OS level. Everything was correct. During this time I noticed that while both were open my network bandwidth dropped to 5-7mb/s and I was unable to load pages in a browser. Closing both boosted bandwidth back to the expected

 I am experiencing several serious issues with Photoshop 27.10.0.26 on Windows 11. I use Photoshop, Adobe Camera Raw and Bridge professionally for architectural/interior photography, often working with large files and large batches of images.I have been troubleshooting this extensively and have now been able to reproduce some of the problems with controlled A/B tests.
