Adding to the confusion is that Premiere Rush – regardless of whether a customer had the free or premium edition – used to be presented in the "Available in your plan" section...   Back in August 2021, Adobe changed this practice to put Rush under "Apps to try" if it was only the starter/freemium version and not the paid/premium edition that a customer had. Thanks, Kevin. You make a good point about it not being shown today that Photography included Rush premium. However all customers who had a Photography plan prior to October 26, 2021 were granted the premium version of Rush, not just the starter plan. It was only existing users and not all new users – i.e., anyone who signs up for Photography today only gets Starter and not Premium, which is what's reflected on the current web pages. But adding Rush premium (plus Ps Express premium, to replace the removal of Spark premium) is definitely what Adobe messaged all customers in the fall of 2021. This was also confirmed by Adobe reps at the time. Hey Kevin, appreciate your jumping in on this!   Anyone who had a Photography plan prior to October 26, 2021 actually does get the premium version of Rush, not just the starter plan... More info & details here.   But even for those using the free starter plan, being able to import HEVC footage is not stated as a premium feature. Adobe Support would routinely tell customers who were having trouble with this error to downgrade back to Rush version 1.5.54, and that would often work.   So there seems to be more to the issue... It sounds like what Adobe is saying here is that you now need to run a free trial of Creative Cloud "All Apps" first in order to (hopefully) be able to download & install XD on your computer.   Note you can cancel the trial if you wish (by 7 days or within 21 days at the latest), and you should still have ongoing access to the free XD Starter plan – if that works for you – with its reduced set of features.   If you can get XD installed on your system but aren't able to launch it via the CC Desktop app, then you can continue using XD Starter by running it manually from the Windows Start menu or macOS Dock/Launchpad. ... There is nothing pirated or illegal on prodesigntools.com – there never has been (since 2009), and never will be.   If you find Adobe download files actually hosted elsewhere, then that would be against the company's rules. Interesting. I wonder if this is because of the codec.   "Does Windows 11 come with HEVC? In most cases, the HEIF and HEVC codecs will already be installed on Windows 11." [source]   But on Windows 10, as noted earlier on this thread, you need to install the HEVC codec manually from the operating system... See this post above from 2021.   So anybody on Windows 10 who is having this issue, you could try installing the "HEVC Video Extensions" from the Microsoft Store app and see if that helps. ... One way around that could be to sign up for the free trial and download & install XD, then cancel it before 7 days have passed... The full trial would end but XD Starter will continue to run on your computer for free, with no payment made.   You could even cancel the free trial the same day after downloading, if you so choose. ...
