Apart from what has been pointed out by JMack and Pierre, I would think that reducing the resolution from 300 to 40 px/in would be faster.  Try it and see what happens.  If it does work then contact the printer and explain to them about the file size and time it takes to save/render the image. the image is very large and resolution might not affect that much because it goes on a bill-board. It looks like you have a faulty DVD.  I suggest try to download the full installation file from this link: <Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10 > Choose the correct version (in your case PSE13) and whether it is 64 bit or 32 bit.  If you have a 64 bit windows machine then you need 64 bit program file.  Also make sure you have your serial number handy as it is required to activate the product. Yes you will be able to install on any new machine you buy.  Are you aware that you can install all Adobe products on two different machines at any one time and if you change the machines, you can deactivate from one machine and activate on another and you should be OK.  If you are not goig to use the old machine, then the best thing is to deactivate from it so that you don't lose your right to TWO installations simultaneously.  Of course, if the machine has crashed then you can always contact Adobe to reset the number of activations so you are under control of this. If you have already updated your PSE14 then your only options are: 1) Use DNG Converter available free of charge from Adobe Website; 2) Use the software that might have come with your camera.  Some Cameras come with their own CD on whci they have their own software to convert the files; 3) Use the operating system to see if it can download the photos to your computer;  which you can then open in PSE to edit it. 4) Use Adobe Bridge (available free of charge from Adobe) and when the photos are catalogued in it, you can right-Click on the photos to edit in PSE. PSE12 doesn't get any updates for latest cameras so your only option is to use DNG Converter.  This can been downloaded free of charge from Adobe website. <Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows > Alternatively, upgrade to version 15 of Photoshop elements.  did your camera not come with its own software that you could use?  Some camera makers bundle their product with their own software to transfer photos from the camera to the computer system.  Also, Operating system might have something to upload your photos on to your machine and then you can use PSE12 to edit them. ... Did this happen after you installed the latest Windows updates:  Windows updates requires RESTART especially if you are on Windows 10, or Windows 8.1.  RESTART means RESTART so you need to got the power button and choose Restart.  Don't shut down or don't go to sleep. Thanks! kj I always thought that preferences have nothing to do with your own work but in any case people always backup their work when they want to try something new.  Me thinks so anyway.  Preferences files resets your own settings so if you have set something like size of brushes or what tools are default in the tools panel then these are all reset to factory defaults. I just tried again Drag & Drop on my other laptop and it seems that you need to activate your move tool and Drag&Drop works pretty fast.  I used PSE15 and Word2016 an it worked very swiftly. So it is worth a try doing this. ... View more
