I use html <code> tags sometimes when I want to instruct a user exactly what to type. This used to be displayed in a monospace font like Courier New, with a white box around it.No longer, now it just looks → like this ←Also, code boxes used to display monospace fonts, but they do no longer either. (They still have a white box around it.)code line 1 code line 2 code line 3XML and SQL code boxes still display monospace fonts, but Java and plain boxes don't.I do not care so much about the code boxes, but the <code> tags should stand out.
Gentle reminder: Time zone still cannot be re-set to PST. It returns an error.
I asked a question a few days ago, recieved an answer which helped solve my problem, I thanked the person, clicked on helpful... etc. But now I'm receiving emails all the time on subjects I haven't explored, opened, or responded to. I've gone into mail notifications and have turned everything on the list off, I've gone through my profile and I have no email notifications set. I've searched on this problem and have followed through all the 'solutions'... and all this has been done more than once. Today alone I've received 27 more emails from 'photoshop elements'.What am I missing? Why is this so hard? I'm regretting I even visited this forum. No way and I going to again chance this flood of emails concerning topics I'm not really interested in. There must be a better way to get help.
Hello Everyone in Adobe,I am David Blumenson. I am planning to buy a new mobile phone. I am thinking of Blackberry but not able to finalize which model should I go for. Can anyone please suggest me the best phone which is rich in features. The phone should support adobe also. Please help me with your recommendations.ThanksDavid Blumenson
I was disconcerted by the following message from Community Help:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1031662?tstart=0First, there is for me a lack of logic in the message itself. Thinking that this could be due to a faulty translation, I looked for a recent similar message in English, and the fault is also there:You see, there is no question in the message, but is says "this question was posted in response to the following article" (my emphasis), then it gives a link to an article, period. No response to anything. The situation is even more disconcerting in the forum in Spanish (one single forum for all Adobe products), as there is no indication whatsoever to the product the message refers to. True, in the case of the forum in Spanish, the message from Community Help is followed by a question from a participant which may or may not be related with the article in the link (which is fairly long so I didn't feel like checking if it did). In the case of the message in the screenshot above there i
Is this a known issue?I create a post with a linkSay http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/1706All works fine.I edit the post (not touching the link), and re-post itthe link becomes http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/1706 (bad link)Edit: even pasting a good link into a post http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/1701shows up as http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/1701
When I registered for these forums, I used a particular email address which is the user i.d. I log in with. How can I change that email address to a different one? Thanks.
I have noticed that when you view these forums in FF 13.0.1, the posters name does not include his total number of posts and date of joining. For example this is what I see under my name in FF 13.0.1:The same item in IE9 looks like this:You can clearly see the number of posts and date of joining in the second picture.Has anyone else noticed this?
Have a look at date/time of the OP and then the posts here:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/502084?tstart=0Posts # 1-11 are two years and a half before the OP, including post #9 by the OP (poster), posts # 12-13 are half a year before it.And more than 31,000 (pre)views as shown in the list of threads.
Anybody who downloads the new CS6 Suite and then deletes it, be warned. If you have older versions of other products, it may render them useless.Just happend to me with Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro installed from Creative Suite 3.I installed CS6 and it deleted the Acrobat exe. file. When I uninstalled CS6, I was not longer able to use Acro 8.So, I reinstalled it from the original disc and it loaded but will no longer accept the serial number for it.Support is worthless. They are not help at all.Be warned.
In this threadhttp://forums.adobe.com/thread/1030638?tstart=0message #1 is marked as the correct answer. However, in my opinion and in the opinion of the original poster, the correct answer to the specific question is message #3.
Edited a post I had just made:Opened a couple of blank lines.Hit the camera iconHit the [Browse...] buttonSelected the file and had its path appear in the Insert Image dialog field.Hit the [Insert Image] button.Got this failure:I couldn't attach the image to this post either, even though it's an under-200K JPEG saved from Photoshop CS6 at quality 10. Here's a link that will take you to a copy of the file:http://Noel.ProDigitalSoftware.com/temp/CloneAndPatternStamp.jpgThis is my second attempt to post this. First time I typed in this post I got this message:It's an interesting approach, making it particularly difficult to report bugs. -Noel
Just noticed that along with "Adobe Employees," "Community Professionals," and "Community Members," there is a new designation - "Community/MVP."Maybe that has been around for some time, but I just noticed it today.Hunt
I bought and upgrade to Design Premium CS5.5 on May 2 to be able to qualify for the free upgrade to CS6. I purchased CS5.5 no problems, and even commented on the fact as there can be problems when ordering software from Puerto Rico. I waited for an e-mail for CS6 to arrive, and waited nothing forthcoming so I tried the chat help, went at that for a bit, and they said wait 24-48 hours, so I did nothing came, so I downloaded the trial version, and waited another week, then I tried replying to the order status e-mail thing, no response. I wait another week and called help. Help was very polite apologized for the inconvenience blah blah blah, your case has been escalated to the next level and you should get your order in 24-48 hours.Waited 3-4 days no response, called back, repeat 4- 5 times meanwhile I'm getting a slew of emails, saying your case has been resolved, your case is open. and we haven't heard back from you your case is about to close. Called today, and got to one f
← Every post shows the poster's name, avatar, no of posts, and join date. Except for the topic starter; these info are missing in the original post of each topic.Suggestion: make the avatar smaller, so that there is room for these info. Why does the OP's avatar need to be four times the size of all subsequent posts?
I noticed that after the maintenance of yesterday, the view counts of threads are often way off. Before the maintenance I had several articles that were viewed 40K+ and 24K+ times that now show only something like 311 and 257 times. The funny thing is that the number of replies seem OK.Where have all those views gone and more importantly, when will they be corrected? Especially newbies on these fora start by reading the most popular discussions and number of views is a good indicator, so this is something that needs attention.
I see that now the forum software loads a number of things from the domains I named in the subject. The URLs are funky to say the least, and some of the things the forum software is trying to load appear to be executables (application/octet-stream).I don't allow executables to run from sites I haven't explicitly added to my Trusted Sites list, and frankly I don't know typekit.com from Adam. They have Adobe's logo on their site, but... ???I assume this is Adobe software, but I'm hesitant to trust a domain I've not heard of before now, especially one that purports to fool with my fonts using executables.I'm not saying I can't see the forum without allowing Typekit to run - frankly it looks reasonable save for words in italics running into the following words. While I'm at it, what is adobetag.com? Some Javascript is being brought in from there as well. It's kind of ridiculous how many different sites/domains a single forum page accesses.-Noel
Every reply has a little Was this helpful? question at the bottom.Does anybody know what is done when someone clicks on Yes or No ? How is this used?
At about 6:00AM, PDT, things were wonky in the Adobe Forums. All URL's led to Flex 4, which was closed, and Log-In was impossible.By about 7:30AM, PDT, the Forums were back, and I see that little +'s have been added, along with a few other "doo-hickies."Now, I hope that it's still a "work in progress," as there are some format issues. I will not bother doing screen-cap posts, as I feel that the Forum folk see them, and will tweak things. If not, then I will gather a few examples of this.Hunt
I personally don't like these new +++ signs next to my Member status at all.I myself give zero credence to the points system in these forums and I don't particularly want mine highlighted via these +++ signs. For those who like it, all well and good but to me it promotes an artificial and misleading pecking order or ranking. Is advice from a +++ Member better than advice from a ++ Member? Newbies might think so. I don't. I've often seen forum regulars give sub-optimal responses (me included). No matter. We're all learning. It's probably a forlorn hope but I'll ask anyway: is there any way of switching this off in the Forum Preferences and becoming a plain old Member again?
Yesterday I noticed that when I viewed a thread and then pressed the back arrow it does nothing. If I click the back arrow the second time it works and takes me back to discussion.Thinking it might by my computer I shut it down last night. But same problem occurs today. Not every time, but say 90% of the time.I can see the page icon blink on the first click and on the second click it does the "loading" message.Has anyone else noticed this?
It seems that the forums are now filled with small green (wo)men.Argh, not just most others.I am starting to feel different, dizzy or distant or something.Do the +/++/+++/++++ mean that some are greener than others?
I'm trying to reply to a message in the Acrobat-Javascript forum, but when I click on 'Reply', I get an error and the reply fields do not show up. They work in other messages on that forum. I rebooted my browser, but the same thing happens. Is there anything I can do to get the reply fields to show up?
I am a computer dummy. How do I download my photos from Adobe to a DVD Disc or USB Disk ?
While the forum skin is being redone, I have two requests that I hope to get integrated. I will post them in two different topics, so they can be easier addressed and discussed. In some forums, when starting a topic I see something like this under the editor windowI'm sure this can be easily added to any forum where it is useful. What I would mainly want is the operating system and browser information. However, my request regarding this:force the poster to at least tick one of thesemake this choice (at least the OS) visible beside the topic title in the forum overview or discussion list. The reason for this is that I am wasting so much time opening topics that I cannot answer because it is Macintosh related. Or Linux related. Or Android related. With the vast number of posts recently arriving in the Flash Player forum, this would be a great help for all involved.
