I can open the same PDF form on my windows PC just fine. I have downloaded the newest Adobe Acrobat reader version for the play store. I have been trying to troubleshoot an issue for a couple of months now. I AirPrint PDF files to an Epson printer. For over a year I had no issues. Now the documents preview correctly but then often have black boxes around many of the graphics. I am a teacher and school starts soon! I have so much to prepare and have wasted so much time, ink, and paper. The printer help desk seems to think it is a program issue and not a printing issue. Was there an update recently that changed? The same files don’t print properly any more. [Thread has been edited and accepted solutions merged into one for better experience]

This morning I opened a new PDF document using the Adobe Reader app for iPad (latest version). I spent the entire morning annotating the file (with the freehand tool, highlights and balloon notes). Mobile link was on. I tapped "Done" before closing the app. Now, in the evening of the same day, when I returned to finish reviewing the document, to my surprise and despair, all the notes have disappeared. I am pretty sure I did not delete the newer version of the file in any way. I simply closed the app, and when I reopened it all my work was gone. Is there a way to revert to a previous version of the document? I logged in to Acrobat.com on the desktop and the file is there (sync'ed via Mobile link), but only the version without the annotations. Help!!!! One can't loose hours of work this way!

The problem is that ever time I use the reader, the app will prompt me by saying that the document was a “read only“ version and requires me to create a local copy. What’s worse is that after creating a local copy, the same problem arises after awhile All these problems doesn’t exist before the update and I am Sure that the documents are not “read only version”. Appreciate any help here!
